Tio's Mexican Cocina offers a mixed experience based on customer feedback. The food has received varied reviews. Some found the carnitas delicious, with charred ends that were moist and tender with very little fat. Others described the food as decent and fresh but lacking in flavor. However, some meals were disappointing; a two taco plate and nachos for $35 had carne asada, al pastor, and carnitas that were passable but dry, with the carne asada tasting like Del Taco asada. The taco Tuesday deal is an awesome price, but the tacos had barely any meat, no seasoning, and were just filled with a little lettuce and a bunch of cheese. The salsa was the worst, described as tomato paste with slivers of onions. There were also issues with DoorDash orders, receiving the wrong food twice, including a 2 chicken enchiladas plate replaced with 1 beef enchilada or 2 cheese enchiladas. On a positive note, customer service was excellent and super patient, with staff like Francis making guests feel welcome.
