“Everything was amazing. Definitely reccomend papas bravas with carnitas. Sally was kind and attentive. And gave great reccomendations. We had the margarita sampler, all 3 delish, as well as the chile pepino (super yummy), and the guacamole also delish, (mix the salsa and guac on one chip for a tasty creamy, and spicy surprise). Finally we shared the steak fajitas and added shrimp. 10/10. Finished the night with churros con chocolate. A sweet and smooth ending to an already amazing experience. From the amboance, the vibes, aesthetic, kind staff, clean restaraunt, and killer food. I will definitely be adding this place to my roster of date night locations I get the pleasure of enjoying with my beautiful wife. We will defintely be back. ;)“

“I stopped in briefly on Monday afternoon around 6:30/45pm. It wasn't too busy and the young man behind the counter was kind and energetic when he greeted me as I walked in. He made a few recommendations from the menu. I ordered a Birrieria quesadilla to go. It was delicious, massive, and a great value for the price. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.“

“The food here is decent but we tried it 2x after our acupuncture appt, my husband and I and it just doesn’t feel / taste super authentic. We took my son some menudo home to be the ultimate judge. He also said the menudo was plain no flavor. I didn’t clock on don’t recommend because it is reasonably priced. Service was rather slow though, my husband can drink a diet soda like I can my wine , and they just didn’t keep up with it for him. So if in a rut and need food and don’t care about flavor Ten this is your spot.“

The greeting, the vibe and environment 10/10.
However, we didn’t want to get ahead of ourselves since we’ve been disappointed before, the real test was going to be the taste test to which we were highly satisfied! 100/10 definitely coming back whenever craving a machete and to try different dishes

“Some people next to us got the monster burritos and calling them huge doesn't do them justice. They are MASSIVE. Their house burrito is huge... That's what I got and I could only eat half! Very good food, large portions and friendly staff. If you're looking for a great burrito, this is the spot.“

“Cenaduría Oaxaqueña Donaji truly exceeded my expectations. The restaurant is set in a house with limited parking, but plenty of street parking nearby. Luckily, we found a spot inside. As we stepped under the large white tarp, we were welcomed like guests at a family gathering, I immediately felt at home. While waiting for our table, they kindly seated us next to a heater, making the experience even more comfortable. From there, we could watch the food being prepared, and it was nothing short of an art form. After a brief 15-minute wait, we were seated and ready to enjoy our meal. I tried a tlayuda for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious, loaded with quesillo, beans, and three types of meat: cecina, chorizo, and what appeared to be chuleta. The portions were incredibly generous. We also shared a quesadilla with epazote, which was just as flavorful. With those two dishes, my wife and I had more than enough to eat. To top it off, the café de olla was incredible, and the hot chocolate was simply exquisite. I highly recommend visiting this hidden Oaxacan gem in Riverside!“

I just hope nothing shady - don't want to be around it if so! He was friendly though and the food is still yummy!!!

Update 08/26/24: Been here a few more times... I keep intending to try other items, but that taco plate calls my name EVERY time! ;P And it never disappoints!! Different staff member this time but just as friendly. Keep supporting small businesses like this that offer a quality product, good value, and great attitudes/customer service!

Let me start this out by saying, I am picky about my meat!! I usually will try a carne asada taco & maybe beans/rice at a place, as a test item to see if I'll order more and go back.

Tacos here are meaty and have great flavors!! Not chopped up gristle & fat either but pure chunks of meat and each taco is generously stuffed! Staff are extremely nice and hard working! I'll be craving these and now I have to go back to try the chile relleno burrito!!

I got a generous taco plate w/ 3 (fat) tacos (beans & rice), Mexi coke bottle, and left a tip, all for around $20.

“This is my favorite Rubio's mostly because of the staff that work there. We are regulars and they are all so friendly and accommodating. The food is always fresh and they get the orders correct on the 1st try. I love that the menu changes periodically so you can try new things. They have good deals and reasonable prices. Easy parking, inside and outside seating and clean and tidy. Special shout-out to the manager Jorge and the assistant manager but they have all been amazing to us over the years. “came here for the first time last night because I just opened a tow yard close by and the place seemed to be poppin. was a awesome choice. pulled in and the lot had classic cars and low lows parked outside. that was the first sign that it was meant to be. ordered fish tacos and they were bomb! wife ordered flautas for the babies and they had cheese inside. apparently they were amazing also. the salsa bar.... every salsa was very good I had to have all of them. good vibes! was leaving and a guy was walking to patio with a burrito the size of a football no lie! will be a new spot for the family for sure!“

“We did not know what to expect when we walked into this little, unassuming restaurant.
What we discovered was the most delicious Mexican food I have ever had. It is definitely not fast food, but you could tell the chefs put their heart and pride into each dish. The fish was wonderful. My husband was so impressed with the soup. I have never been particularly impressed by tortillas, but these were the best I have tasted. I will remember the hot chocolate and try to replicate it at home- probably to no avail. I am glad we took a chance with this place.“

“This place is pretty good . We had the fish taco meal for about $13 dollars . Came with rice and beans . Let me tell you the tacos were piping hot and fresh 10/10 . They will bring you lemons and peppers witch I have to also add the pepper was seasoned, now that was a game changer , I spilt it open took the seeds out and I lace it on my tacos 10/10 . We also shared 3 rolled tacos . It was also good but I will add pretty expensive but definitely worth every penny . We used the chips they gave us as nachos with the green sauce they have and leftover beans rice and other leftover veggies . All in all a perfect meal .. I complemented the chef cause if the food is perfect the chef should know . Oh and horchata taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk . 10/10 but no refill . Only juices are free refill . Next time“

“Still, one of the great Mexican restaurants in riverside. It's been here so long. I was coming here as a kid. I'm 56 now. I see the same guys working here for a very long time. A couple have been working here, 27 or 30 years, or more food is always great service is always great. Chips and salsa are awesome. The drinks are great. “I have been to many El Pollo Locos and I have to say this location is the best! I know they all have the same menu but the taste is definitely not the same! They are far superior to all the other locations and I have been to many in my travels! The cook is always super friendly (greeting people as they come in) and most of the workers at the cashier are as well! They never disappoint! 👏🏼“
