We have been eating at Tony's Mexican food since they took over the A & W business at Magnolia and Dawes in about 1978-79. Back then you could get one item, beans, rice and a drink for $2.10. That site closed when they remodeled that area. We frequent the one on Mill St in SB, Chicago Ave Riverside, and the location on Arlington Avenue at Tyler in Riverside. Tony's Mexican food, will always have a special place in my heart. Been coming here, since I was a little girl. The food always stays original, from there shredded beef tacos to there nachos. Very simple but bursting with flavor with inexpensive prices.

Though the prices have gone up it is still a very good value for the money. Food is consistently good. Had chicken & beef tacos, tostadas, and pork in red sauce yesterday & it was delicious. Unfortunately, no more .50 tostadas but that's ok, you can still partake in Mexican food that is as good as any upscale restaurant without the high prices. Menu pics posted are October 2023.
