First time eating here on 11/30/2024. My dish was good, but not the best I've had. Mom had a dish that was only pure grease and no flavor, she had to send it back for another dish and that dish also had no flavor, my son didn't like his meal either, said the pork tasted weird...egg rolls were also greasy...its like every dish here is pure grease, nothing else. Will not be coming back to this place whatsoever...the Mexican joint on the corner would have been a lot better...

How does it take an hour and 45 minutes to make 5 dishes when the dining room is only 1/3 full. And being told "it'll only be 10 minutes" and then having to wait nearly an hour is terrible service. I don't care if the food is great, the service is trash.

On the hunt for a big bowl of yummy (vegan) “hot and sour soup”…and with google’s help found this place. The soup was good with a huge portion size (rate it 8 out of 10). For me a little heavy on sesame oil, but good flavor. The service was great and it looked like they had a bunch of lunch specials in the $13 range. The vegetarian spring rolls are fresh and hand made to order..but again a little too much oil for my taste
Vegetarian options: They offer 3 or 4 options for vegans…2 all vegetable options and a few more with Tofu and veg.

I love eating at Joy House and brought my family in just the other week! The employees and service are so kind and give great service, the head chef and owner greeted us himself! The food was delicious and is consistent, and came out quickly! The fresh potstickers are our favorites. Don’t forget to ask about any specials they might have.

First the food is good. But the service was very very slow
We were seated at 7pm. At 7:15 we finally got water and our order was taken. 4 pot stickers, chow fun and salt and pepper chicken. Over a half of an hour later we received our food. Unless the service improves we won't come back. Even take out order were taking a while.

Not good. the food was terrible. I got sesame chicken and it was literally lemon chicken with sesame seeds. With a side of rice because none of the dishes included rice or any sides and it’s literally just a 17$ plate of meat and it wasn’t good it was soggy I ordered a coke and it came in a can with no refills and was $4. My husband ordered tangerine chicken and was more like teriyaki chicken with tangerine peel slices and chunks of ginger.. it did not taste like tangerines until you bet into a chunk of peel was not very satisfying. When he ordered his beer he ordered 2 beers (Heineken and corona) and they didn’t have either.

Best Chinese restaurant in the area! Everything we tried was fresh, loaded with vegetables and made with good quality ingredients from scratch. The server was polite and the restaurant has a relaxing vibe.

One of the better Asian restaurants in the area. The food is prepared right, cuts of beef with little to no grizzle, thin cuts of chicken. Hot and sour soup is spicy with the right amount of tang.

Went to Joy House the other night, and let's just say the "joy" was in short supply. The food? Surprisingly good. Everything else? Not so much.
The server was... let's just say they weren't the brightest chopstick in the drawer. Meanwhile, the owner's kids were in the corner, channeling their inner Picasso with crayons. The food took so long I thought they were flying to China to pick the ingredients. The place wasn't busy, unless you count the tumbleweeds. When it came time to pay, the server awkwardly hovered like I was about to steal the soy sauce. And the pacing of the dishes? It was like they were playing culinary Tetris. Mains first, appetizer last—because who needs logic?
Would I go back? Probably not, unless I’m craving good food served with a side of confusion. ?

The owner was super friendly and I was so excited to chat with her! Her husband is the head chef and he makes really delicious food! The sour cabbage fish soup was so good and the chili pork stir fry was some of the best I've ever had! If you're looking for intensely delicious flavors, generosity, authentic Chinese cuisine, and fairly priced food, Joy House is the restaurant for you!

This is a hidden gem! As a fan of Chef Chus in Los Altos CA, it’s exciting to discover Chef David at this restraunt who cooked and trained with Chef Chu for over 18 years. The smells, the tastes and the quality of culinary excellence shows.

Good quality authentic Chinese cuisine. The service is also very nice. Now it’s my favorite spot in Rocklin area for Chinese food.

The food was sub par and not good at all. The egg rolls need some work, Pandas was better and the chow mein sucked. Don’t waste your time.

It's a quiet place to eat a great meal. The food is freshly prepared to order and very tasty. I typically order enough to last another meal.
