“My three kids get hyped every time they find out it's New York Bagel for breakfast. Bagels are always toasted perfectly and they use just the right amount of cream cheese. The #1 bagel breakfast sandwich is a winner. Service has always been courteous and professional.“

“I still recommend but have to say disappointed today in a few items. 1. the coleslaw flavor was fine but now is minced so small it feels like you are eating baby food and tastes bland 2. the cornbeef was surprisingly on the dry side 3. cheesecake totally dry crust and flavor just average and strawberry topping soggy 4. soup was terrific the quality of food seems to be going down and that’s sad“

“I miss this place! I moved away- and can’t find a descent bagel now🫣 I recently drove through Santa Rosa and had to stop in. Though it’s been 7 years the owner recognized me! On my way back through a few days later I stopped and got a bag of bagels for my freezer so I could enjoy the taste of Sonoma valley Bagels! Oh I got their cream cheese too- perfection!“

“Nice Hidden Spot with Room for Improvement

Donut Bagel Café is a nice little hidden gem — not overly busy, but there was just enough of a crowd for a short wait, which was actually kind of nice because it showed the place has a steady flow of customers.

The spot itself is cozy, and the prices are fair, especially for what you’d expect from a bagel and donut shop. A great stop if you’re nearby.

That said, the experience felt a little rushed. The girl at the counter was pretty persistent about taking our order, and we didn’t really get the time we needed to fully explore the menu. It felt like she wanted to move us along quickly, and in the end, we settled for something we didn’t really want, just to keep the line moving.

Overall, the place has potential — good atmosphere and decent pricing — but a little more patience at the counter would make a big difference. I’d give it another try, but next time I’ll know what I want before walking in.

“This is my favorite bagel place in Santa Rosa! I work just down the road and I am always greeted with a smile and a great conversation. I go in at least once a week, and I felt called to leave a 5 star review after building a nice relationship with the employees here. I see there are some negative reviews and I think this is because they are expecting a fast moving big bagel shop. Grateful Bagel is small business, owned and operated by only a few employees, balancing door dash orders and walk-ins, so if you give them patience and consideration they will treat you exactly the same way in return. If you want to try their best bagels you have to go in earlier in the day as they run out of some later in the day. To me this shows how fresh all their bagels really are as they are made in the morning for that day. Thank you Grateful Bagel for making great bagels and always putting a smile on my face :)“

“Went here for the first time with a friend we both loved our jalapeño bagels with cilantro cream cheese. Nice crispy exterior and not very doughy which I like, lots of jalapeños too. They have a wide variety of different bagel sandwiches. They’re made fresh daily. I bought a couple bagels to go and they were equally excellent. The prices are a little high compared to where I’m from but that’s the Bay Area for you. I would definitely come back again.“

“The spicy lovers egg sandwich is what good food is about. It is soo good. The lady today was by herself and she was friendly, fast, and it tasted so fresh and yummy. I can only eat half of one so I feel great. A whole one and your are risking a food coma. I'm glad I thought about them today and even though I don't need to go often I will start going once a month for a treat. Great place and I like it better than the chanate rd place. Clap back to the lady who called these ladies obnoxious. The reviewer is obnoxious. Thanks cafe de crossiont....so check on pastry thingy“

“It was a little early for lunch, and still cold from the night, Pinhead Pete and I were heading toward a breakfast joint on 4th when the Pin asks me who Joe is...Joe who I said, and he says My Friend Joe Coffee...who's this Joe guy? I looked him right in the eyes and said...See, ..That's exactly why everyone calls you Pinhead!
Well, we whipped it on in there ..it was right between breakfast and lunch, so I got the egg salad sandwich, and it was Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“
