Checked it out after hearing a few good things, and it ended up being a solid spot. The place has a nice, relaxed vibe — kind of a mix of Korean, Italian, and Brazilian flavors, which sounds random but actually works well. We tried the Chicken Empanadas, Seafood Pan Roast, Octopus Pasta, Stone Pot Bibimbap, and the Hot Honey Sopressata Pizza. The Seafood Pan Roast and Octopus Pasta were my faves. Portions were decent and you can tell they use quality ingredients. Service was friendly and the space itself feels modern but comfortable. Overall, it’s a nice neighborhood spot to grab dinner or drinks without feeling too fancy or too casual. I’d definitely come back, especially for happy hour or to try a few more dishes.

Very sad that they changed the way how their branzino is made. The fish costing $52 is reasonable. However, the way how their branzino is made before with the stuffing was super good. That is the only thing I look forward to. The appetizer was the only highlight, pao de quijo.

They seated us on a table after 45 minutes wait. After about 10 minutes wait then a person approached us and introduced himself as our waiter which we only saw him one more time during the evening. The food came separately for each one of us (we were 4 people at the table). By the time the last person food came our food was cold. We had to ask several time each time a different waiter for just water. Very disappointed

Sugo has quickly become our favorite restaurant in the South Bay. The food is incredible and everything is such high quality. This restaurant deserves so much hype. It’s worth going out of your way for trust me it will not disappoint!!! Vibes are great, it’s such a pretty place and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. 10/10 highly recommend!

Live locally but had not been here yet. We went last night and had excellent service from a young woman who knew the menu very well. Reasonable procea. The place is really nice very clean and their menu is mostly Italian and Korean had plenty to choose from The Smoky old-fashioned was served in a smoke box. The ginger mint drink is refreshing. Wonderful presentation made with lots of love. We had the chicken karage, modena salad, asparagus with breadcrumbs and their popovers before our meal was SO good. This place is closer to the movie Theater side, one floor below. Everyone here was very nice, the service here is EXCEPTIONAL. Definitely coming back often. This shopping center is under new ownership and getting upgraded with a few more restaurants coming soon on the first floor.

Tldr: food good, bad & terrible service!
Honestly this was such a disappointing experience. I just left the restaurant feeling really frustrated. The food was pretty good (notable mentions were the lettuce wraps and empanadas). However, the service was ALMOST non-existent . For a restaurant that was not full or packed at all by the time we came, how is it that we were the last to be given water out of the 3 parties that came after us? Actually, we had to ask another waitress to give us water because our server disappeared. I commend the other waitress for servicing the her tables rightfully because they were served correctly and timely (I was watching intently). One of them left before us and the other one had the opportunity to order dessert! Can you believe this? None of our servers ( I say in plural because our original server went on break and another took over- but he also gave us terrible service) even offered dessert and we chose this place to celebrate our 5th year anniversary. What a waste of time and money. We were only able to leave because we called for other servers and workers to help us.... Worst customer service I've experienced in a good bit! I would never go back and spend our hard earned money where some of them just blatantly ignore its customers.

Comfortable lounge couches, attentive staff, and amazing food. I grew up with a parent who went to culinary school in France and have eaten at a few high end restaurants. I can say that Sugo is the best food I've had in all Redondo/Torrance/PVE. All the items are so unique in their taste. Even the flan, which normally tastes mostly the same no matter the restaurant, was made to taste different than anything I've had before (and better). This beat Nobu Malibu by a long shot. Even the pizza was unlike anything I've had before. What wins me over is how unique every dish is. It's not just good, it's unique and tastes different than any other dish of its kind.
