Used to be able to tried it out before purchasing. Now they changed the policy. Went on a Saturday, the lady with glasses is not very friendly. I told her I want to try it before buying she said cannot. Ok well they used to be able to let customer try it. I told her what I want to purchased. Then she told the other colleague I have to pay first before I can try what I bought. I heard the conversation. Very rude. The quality of meat is not so good as well. Lao Zi Hao nearby is better.

Jerky is good. Unlike products in supermarket, they dont have preservatives; thus expires in 45days after open.
Staff is friendly and willing to go the extra steps to meet custom request. I want both original beef and pork to be pack into one package for presents so my family can try both favors. The staff said she can do it with a smile. I can see it took her several minutes to cut and sort the two type of jerkys into multiple packs.

Honestly pretty disappointing experience. Bought it on a whim and kind of regretted it after trying.
I usually like jerky, but this one just didn’t work for me. The meat quality wasn’t great，some pieces were too tough, others had a weird texture, and it didn’t really taste fresh.
Also, it was way too greasy. Not “lightly coated” at all. Every piece left my hands oily, and even the bag had that thick greasy residue around the opening after a few times opening it. It was honestly a bit much.
Service wasn’t great either. The staff felt kind of indifferent and not very helpful when I asked about the product. Didn’t really feel welcomed.
Overall just not a good experience. Poor quality meat, too oily, and average service. Probably wouldn’t come back.

I love this place and been coming here since they opened many years ago. I highly recommend the spicy bacon jerky. If you don't like spicy, I suggest the tender pork jerky. Tons of flavor.

This review is for their pork jerky which was orders online. I order the 3 item package which has pork, tender pork and bacon. Delicious flavors on all three. There is a slight difference between original and tender but you can tell if you are comparing. Otherwise both are good. The bacon jerky is fatty and a great addition to this combo pack

This place is absolutely terrible. I could see cockroaches crawling around in the back, you can imagine the preparation conditions. The jerky is very greasy! The male employee was not friendly at all. Not recommended!

Terrible. Purchases on a whim and it was terrible. I love Malaysia jerky. But this stuff is greasy. So very greasy. Each piece is just dripping with it. Nothing like the jerky I buy from nyc. Great stuff.
Lightly coated??? I guess a monsoon is light rain and wind. My whole hand would be covered in grease. I need to use chop sticks. So lightly coated that the bag after opening has solid white grease chunks around the opening from pulling the jerky out of its packaging.
I have been by this store for several years and I saw a FB post about them and was reminded about them, I checked it out and decided to visit their Rosemead store, it was exactly as I remembered it.
Service was friendly and professional. They don’t give samples to try (boooo!!!!) which is kinda good too, because I might have been tempted to buy more 😜 The prices was reasonable, I bought a pound of original pork, spicy bacon and spicy pork.
