some interesting cake choices and very fancy and pretty to look at. taste was good and not too sweet. however, $10-14 a slice is kind of nuts in early 2024.the location is basically a cashier counter and like 3-4 refrigerated self serve displays, no place to eat and feels more like the hobby of the office boss than an actual bakery. packaging was nice to look at.

The fluffy Pork Sung Salted Egg Yolk bread poster draws me into the store. Yu Cake is not your typical Asian bakery. They have flavors and items that I have not seen before, like Mochi Mochi Brown Sugar bread. The store itself has a classy high-end feel to it. It's like I step in to Louis Vuitton of bakery - LOLI asked the worker the shelf life for the loaf of bread. It's weird that she told me two days, even though it was baked that day. I assumed it should last up to 5 days if I put it in the fridge. Of course, I purchased the Pork Sung Salted Egg Yolk bread because I was really curious about the taste. It was fluffy and soft, but not enough pork floss or salted egg yolk. I expected savory and stronger flavors. For $17 a loaf, I don't think it's worth it.Surprisingly, the Uji Matcha Snowflake Chewy Cube was absolutely delicious! The combination of cookies, marshmallows, dried mango, and nuts is so addicting. We ate the whole jar in our car ride home before I could take a close-up picture.I didn't try their cakes this time, but it seems like that's their signature. The Mango crepe cake looks incredible.

Only if you open it in the Chinese area can you sell it to Chinese students at this high price. Any Bakery store opened by foreigners will not sell it at this price. Your main money is to pay for their rent and packaging.

We are from NYC and were waiting at the boba milk tea shop when we decided to give it a try. We tried both the floss cake and taro inside the box. So yummy! Soft, not too sweet.

I used to buy crepe cake slices from Lady M in Arcadia. This time, I decided ti try Yu Cake because it's closer to home. OveThe taste of the crepe cake slices was pretty similar to Lady M; however, I still like Lady M better because I like the cream in Lady M crepe cake better and the most importantly, the Lady M crepe cake slices I bought from Arcadia had not changed shapes after I bought them and traveled 20+ miles from Arcadia while the crepe cakes (matcha and especially tiramisu) from Yu Cake were out of the shape after traveled less than 10 miles to home.

Very overpriced. Bought it for family. I personally don't care of the dessert.

Review for the coconut pudding only! It's just not good, please do not get this. Not even sweet, horrible texture, clumpy. It would be ok it it were on the blander side if it was a good texture at least. If you've had melo melo which is very good in my opinion, this is just inedible compared to melo melo. Please fix this recipe if you're going to continue sell this and charge $8 a jar! Regret buying two jars, basically paid $16 for two reusable glass jars.

Very authentic Chinese dessert with a large variety of flavours. The taste is not as sweet as American desserts so keep that in mind when trying this place.
Got the Manna Melaleuca and Blue Coconut Mille cake through Uber eats. At about $12 a slice, it’s pretty disappointing. The former has a mango flavor that one can get at any Chinese bakery, and the latter literally just tastes like coconut cream from a can. The photo shows how much we were able to eat from each slice..

Everything looks aesthetically pleasing but doesn’t taste as good as it looks. The peach oolong cake had a weird tang, either it was old and going bad or they added a yogurt that didn’t go well with the flavor. Either way, it didn’t taste good. The pork floss salty egg bread was mediocre for the price ($17/loaf), there was not much savoryness or flavor. The durian mango snowflake chewy cake was so bland, I couldn’t taste mango or durian. I can’t believe they made it possible for me to not be able to taste the smelliest fruit on the planet.

The cake is stale, the taro paste is sour, and the cream is extremely hard. Not to mention the price, it just tastes bad.

This place has some of the best tasting cakes and dessert. Not too sweet but on point texture of the cakes. The puddings are really good. Just the pricing is a little peak higher than most desserts place. But you’re gonna get what you pay for tho.
