Roku Japanese Cuisine

I commend Roku for their excellent food quality. The Tempura is perfect. Authentic Tempura as ypu can get. It is obvious they change their tempura frying oil, and it doesn't have that motor oil soaked look. The pop corn shrimp special is da bomb. Like walnut shrimp but with pine nuts. You can enjoy it, the butter lettuce it came with. The steamed rice is also excellent and goes well with any entree on the menu. Price is on the high side, but no regrets as you get excellent tasty food. Clean and modern vibes with friendly it staff. I just wish their bento box options would offer more combinations. Overall, excellent Japanese neighborhood restaurant.

My daughter said Roku Japanese Cuisine had the best sashimi in the area. So I gave it a try. The Hamachi sashimi was fresh and tasty. The tempura veggies were the best I’ve had in quite a while. The fried rice was lovely…and they had Echigo beer. Service was friendly and attentive. They were very busy yet I never felt rushed. I think my daughter was right!!!

Everything about this place is lovable. The atmosphere, the food and the service. My family and I have come here a handful of times and the consistency in quality of everything they do continues to bring us back, always greeted like family.

One of the freshest spots for sushi!

The space isn't large enough for a big group but the food is certainly a highlight! From soup to sushi, nigiri, and rolls, every dish is incredibly fresh and skillfully crafted. While it can be a bit pricey, the quality of the food makes it well worth the experience. The service is great as well; the servers are attentive and very friendly.

I eat a lot of sushi. This place has great sushi, better than most. My water also never got empty, service was on top of it. I will come back.

We made a pit stop in Roseville, CA for lunch on our way to Reno. I read great reviews about this Sushi resto so we decided to go check it out and I'm so glad we did.
Very, very good Otoro tuna belly, salmon belly and yellowtail belly Nigiri. ? ?

We decided to stop since we're staying at the hotel right across the restaurant. We were seated immediately, even though the restaurant was full. The service was excellent. We began our meal with ramen and rolls. The sushi was incredibly fresh.

The quality of their nigiri and sashimi were definitely well above our expectations. The Truffle Hamachi and Ika Geso were a great way to start our dinner, and although we technically didn't get dessert, the BBQ Albacore piqued our interest towards the end. Sure enough, almost nothing was a disappointment. Their miso soup was a little too much on the sweet side, but overall, a great sushi dinner.

Our waiter was also very informative and (mostly) attentive, along with a lively environment to eat in. They do have daily special menus, which did present many food options I had never seen elsewhere, would definitely recommend if you're looking for something new.

Kid-friendliness: During our dinner, multiple families with young children were present, they do have a kid's menu as well.

? ? Happy birthday to Roku ?? It was our first time to dine in Roseville. We originally thought it was just a quick lunch spot during a long trip, but we didn’t expect to encounter such a good quality Japanese restaurant. The sashimi ingredients are very fresh and the cooked food is It's exquisite, the price is reasonable, the portion is large, the service of the store staff is very warm and friendly, and the open kitchen and bathroom are very, very clean! It immediately made me a fan, and I will eat here every time I pass through Roseville on my next trip!
Thanks to the store for the first anniversary gifts. They are very practical and generous office groceries. I will think of the delicious food of Roku when using them and recommend this restaurant to every friend who visits Roseville.
