“The bakery is a hit or miss. The hand pies are super delicious however the donuts don't taste fresh. The deli as well is also a hit or miss sometimes they will be quick and efficient, sometimes we will be held on the phone for over 10 minutes before we are even helped and not even get our sandwich correctly made. 🤷🏼♀️ during the winter this place is amazing, during the summer when it gets busier up on the mountain not so much.“

“We have relied on El Nayar for our prepared masa for as long as I can remember. We especially appreciate that they can prepare it with vegetable oil instead of lard if you request. This year we were out of town and used a different bakery. We realized quickly that using a different bakery was a mistake. Nothing compares to your masa! We just finished a fresh batch of tamales with your masa and they are perfection. Thank you for being a reliable business. Quality, consistency and great customer service.“

“The Sugar Chalet is the perfect small town gem of a bakery! We’ve been coming here for cookies and the occasional cake for a while and this place wows! High altitude baking is no joke, and they know how to do it perfectly even while accommodating dietary needs like keto. Their cakes are out of this world — definitely don’t miss their seasonal spice cake around the holidays! I’m also obsessed with their brown butter cookies, and they’ll go above and beyond for custom cakes if you order ahead!! Local and family-owned, too!!“
