Nice ambiance. Nice food presentation. I like their soft tofu. Maybe it's just need a little bit less spicy for the pho broth.

I really wanted to like this place. I’m vegetarian, the zen theme with Buddhist art all of it was inviting. The food unfortunately was way below average. Felt like few vegetables and fake meat was drizzled in soy sauce and put on our plate. The pho type noodle soup had zero flavor, tasted like boiled water. It’s super expensive too, 20$ per dish which makes the overall experience pretty poor.

I got the buddha roll and love of life noodle soup. I'm typically not a fan of rice paper spring rolls. I typically like my spring rolls deep fried. However, these were actually really good. The mushrooms were well flavored with lemongrass and cooked that I thoroughly enjoyed them. I always love udon noodle soups and this one hit. The caramelized onions and cilantro, reminiscent of pho, were the cherry on top. I also like vegan shrimp and this was in it too, in addition to the tofu and veggies. The broth was flavorful too, enough to the point that I was enjoying drinking it plain. Service was good too, no issues. Today was my second time here and I will absolutely continue to be back.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. In the past, Joe K and I often dined at their location in Rancho Cordova, which was not entirely devoted to plant based cuisine. Unfortunately, that one eventually closed. But on a positive note, I was invited to attend a UYE, arranged by one of my Yelp friends: Bridget W. She is a true vegetarian, so I was excited to finally go to an event that included an intimate party of other Yelp friends which I hadn't seen in over a year since Joe K passed away. When it comes to vegetarian and vegan foods, I'm all for it! When it is served Vietnamese style, well, that's even better! The interior dining room is a bit small and cozy, so large parties may not work well here. Our server, Jannessa did a nice job taking care of our party of six. The menu has a nice selection of delicious options, making choosing somewhat hard. I finally narrowed my desire for "Inner Peace": Rice noodles, crispy lotus roll, lettuce, cucumbers, sprouts, carrots, mixed seasonal herbs, toasted crushed peanuts w/ house vinaigrette. To accompany my meal, I chose one of their "Elixirs of Life" beverages: the "Shaolin Monk": a combination of strawberry, banana, pineapple, spirulina and matcha. Everyone ordered different dishes and seem to really enjoy the food. My dinner was very satisfying and actually brought me some inner peace. I think it was not just the food, but the company that gave me some comfort for being out of touch from Yelp events for awhile and socializing without Joe K. Thanks again to Bridget W. for inviting me and reuniting us together to include Jenny P., David O., Alex T., and Nancy M. I look forward to another UYE again!

If you love vegetarian, Vegan eats, come check out @andynguyenrestaurant84! I was impressed with their vegan Vietnamese bun bo hue, which is a lemon grass soup with using soy beef, and shitake mushrooms. The flavors and presentations were great. Ambiance is very zen and relaxing inside. Casual setting so you can relax. Limited seating inside. Good parking spots on the street. Easy to find and not missed. Service was great. I would come and try out other items as well. . Supreme Noodles- "Hue Province Spicy Noodle Soup" soy beef, tofu, shiitake mushroom, seasonal mixed vegetables in a spicy pineapple lemongrass broth topped w/ sprouts, onions, basil, jalapeños & lime. ALLERGENS: Vegan. Wheat-free Option Available - this one is one of my favorites. It has a great broth with good flavor of lemongrass. It's perfect for cold weather and rainy days. . Nirvana Lemon Salad-Grilled soy beef w/ carrots, cabbage, onions, mixed herb slaw, crushed peanuts, sesame seeds w/ house vinaigrette. ALLERGENS: Vegan. Wheat-free Option Available - it's like a salad for small bites to pick on throughout the meal. Also great to share and eat alone as a light snack. . Treasure Roll- Lettuce, rice noodles, soy shrimp, soy ham, mixed herbs, pickled carrots, crushed peanuts & crispy strip w/ rice paper, and peanut sauce. ALLERGENS: Vegan/ Contains Wheat & Whey - it's like eating spring roll with meats, but has soy shrimp and soy ham, it's a light and refreshing appetizer to start off with sharing or eat alone and not share. . Inner Peace- Rice noodles, crispy lotus roll, lettuce, cucumbers, sprouts, carrots, mixed seasonal herbs, toasted crushed peanuts w/ house vinaigrette. ALLERGENS: Vegan. Contains Wheat - it's like eating a generous portion of crispy spring rolls with the noodle bowl. It's quite light and crisp and refreshing with the Vegan fish sauce. . Urban Monk Bowl- Rice noodle, garlic, onions, sautéed beef, lettuce, cucumbers, sprouts, carrots, mixed seasonal herbs, toasted crushed peanuts w/ house vinaigrette sauce. ALLERGENS: Vegan. Contains Wheat - the soy beef is char grill3d perfectly. The balance of the noodles and soy meat with some vegan fish sauce was great.

I always go here whenever I'm craving vegetarian (vegan) food! They made it taste so good, just like regular meat foods. Drinks are delicious also.

I previously reviewed Andy Nguyen's with a better score for service, but still less than 5. The food is still an absolute 6☆, as is the atmosphere, but the service has gotten even worse. The younger ladies working on Sunday afternoons just don't want to be bothered. They'll take your order and deliver your food, but there's nothing in between. No water refills, clearing of appetizer plates, asking if everything is ok, can they bring anything else, nothing! Except delivery of our bill!!What was worse, the sauce I asked for when my food was delivered was not brought after 3 or 4 minutes, while I watched our server on her phone behind the counter. I finally got up, went inside, and asked for the sauce. I then carried it to my table outside myself, where my food by then was very cold. This was a repeat performance of my first visit. The same scenario happened. They do not care to provide great service or simply don't know what great service is. I go to appease my vegetarian BFF and have been leaning into the lifestyle myself. I like to learn flavors to better mimic them when I'm teaching myself to cook at home. But great food must be balanced by decent service at the very least. In this area, complete fail.Vegetarian options: Vegetarians, this menu does not disappoint. AND on the occasions you want to go out with carnivore friends, this is the place to take us. I loved the food. The fried tofu was my favorite. I also really loved the faux teriyaki beef and noodle dish.Dietary restrictions: While there's a great vegetarian menu, those sensitive to gluten and soy for protein just need to pay attention to what's in the ingredients of each dish. Not difficult to navigate.

Food: the yoda, udon, spring rolls The yoda was a great smoothie I was feeling a little under the weather and it made me feel so much better! The udon was okay, they used soba instead of udon noodles, the veggies weren't cohesive and there was no soy shrimp. I'm not sure why there was a slice of lemon in it. Spring rolls, they really have something here the mushrooms are marinated to perfection BUT it was served hot, which is a cardinal sin in my opinion Service and ambiance was good, my waitress was very nice!

The food has been lacking a bit for the cost but it is still a great spot.. There's an unusual amount of sugar in many dishes which could be improved with more spices and less sugar. I would recommend trying it for sure!

We came here with our family. I'm the only vegan yet everyone loves it, even our 2 year old!

Amazing food coming in nice portions. Consistent and well seasoned. We loved tofu starter and Pho. One dish I had (Inner Peace) was lacking sauce - bunch of rice noodles with lotus rolls + small amount of oil that didnt cut for that big of a portion of noodles. Laidback atmosphere with occasional obnoxious new age folks screaming to their phone on the speaker. Not a fan of listening personal stories while trying to enjoying my family time by the dinner. Polite staff. One of our fav spots in Sacramento. We are coming back guys your plants asking for water
