I ordered one beef enchilada one chicken enchilada and one cheese enchilada when I got my meal I got three chicken enchiladas
Service no complaints... food was like I was in a nursing home for the elderly..no flavor , no seasoning, cooks get your taste buds fixed ... im shocked it has 1000 reviews and almost max stars ... the beans were the best part of my food ...how sad is that .. place was clean at least ... steet vendors have better yummy tasting food ... this is not a mexican restaurant... I've been to at least 30 in the last 2 years and this was no flavor food ... mexican food is full of flavor and spices ... this was nursing home food .. sad
Food never changes it's always good great tasting food
The food is amazing. The Macho Nachos are spectacular. Had the Chicken Enchiladas, best I’ve ever had. Maybe the best Mexican food meal of my life!!!!
The White Horse Restaurant is the restaurant you want to go to when you just need to have authentic and delicious Mexican food for the right price and the right portions. The staff is so good, they can be mistaken for a presidential catering company. They make you feel like they're personally cooking for you in their own home kitchen. The food also tastes like it's being cooked by a group of grandmothers. You can eat there alone, and you still feel like you brought your family because the staff will make you just that comfortable.
Visiting from Florida. Excellent food (many options - large portions) and drink (many beer options). Exemplary service and authentic atmosphere! Not overpriced!
Always good!
Salsa is good and chips are great. Beef was flavorful. Soup was delicious. One of my favorite places in Sacramento
Good food. Great service. Just a little pricey for me.
I just celebrated my birthday at Caballo Blanco. It was held in the private dining area. The food was great, fresh, homemade tasting. A private staff was there to serve me and my guest. They were great too. Plenty of free parking. And the drinks were just right. Thanks for making my birthday special.

Our first time trying yesterday and this place did not disappoint! Food was fresh, delicious, and the portions were big. I had the combo #4, two beef tacos and a cheese enchilada. The enchilada sauce was super good, not bitter like I sometimes have. Tacos were crispy and loaded. My plate was so good I ended up eating all of the salad, rice, and beans. My wife ordered the Burrito Grande with carne asada and she loved it. We both said that it felt like we ate at a loved ones home. The service here is some of the best we have experienced in Sacramento. Both the ladies that helped us were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. When the bill came, no sticker shock, very reasonable prices. Do yourself a favor and get the flour tortilla chips and guacamole! We will definitely be back soon and often. Thank you!!
Every time I come here the food is so delicious. I love the atmosphere. Reminds me of Old Mexico. Very good place to come and eat
Use to come here with my mom and Aunt Connie almost every week. Now I come with my mom and it's still good like back then. 100/10 recommend. Great family restaurant! The ladies working here are amazing. And Ruben and Roy best cooks ever! ❤️🖤
Fast friendly service... food is amazing... definitely a must try
I’ve been to Caballo Blanco a couple of times throughout the years as it is a staple locally owned Mexican restaurant in South Sac. The restaurant is decades old, but decently kept. Very eclectic atmosphere, almost like you’re in someone’s abuela’s house. There are plenty of tables for large parties, many booths, and an entire room to rent out for events. Parking is accessible from the lot around back.
This style of Mexican cuisine is admittedly not my favorite. I’m more of a fan of the light, fresh mariscos or coastal style. This is more of a traditional, saucy, cheesy, heavy type of food. The flavors are good, the food comes out hot and fast, and the portions are large. The soup that comes with most meals is delicious! It is sort of a kitchen sink soup with lots of vegetables, meat, noodles, and rice. Their salsa is delicious and full of flavor, on the spicier side. But the chips aren’t homemade anymore.
The best thing about this restaurant is the service! Our server was extremely attentive. She anticipated our needs, was highly communicative, and didn’t rush us through our dining experience.
Overall, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out!!! I appreciate what Caballo Blanco brings to the community and am sure that we will be back.
