Love the simple menu that is seasonal. Had the pimento cheese focaccia and it was delicious. Of course, had the drumsticks and crispy cauliflower. Both wonderful and the 4 of us shared the whole chicken and an order of broccolini. Was so happy to see an assrytiko on the wine menu by the glass. Always so refreshing.

Was not impressed with the menu. Small plates were okay and the swordfish platter was overpowered by the many items in the dish that appeared to have been used in an attempt to hide the minimal size of swordfish and the fact that the fish was overcooked and too dry. Service was good, martinis were small. We liked the outdoor seating area. No need to return here.

Traditionally we always celebrate the end of my husband's tax season at Canon. Every bite in this meal was celebratory. We always start our meal off with a glass of wine and the tots with mole , cojita and pickled onion. From the new spring menu we chose the deliciously prepared asparagus cooked to perfection with beautiful creative sauces and toppings (I could easily have enjoyed the platter by myself but I shared it). The purple smashed potatoes rich and beautiful melt in your mouth. The purple potatoes with a few nasturtiums on the top was nothing short of stunning. And we shared the swordfish plate. Maybe the best fish I've eaten. A lovely rub on it an so satisfying. It was perfectly prepared. The dinner was finished with a dessert that is creamy and magical. The pistachio pie. No matter how full you are you must order this heavenly pie. Not overly sweet or filling just delicious with a lovely texture and the perfect melt in your mouth finale. Thank you Canon for a perfect meal. I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge the incredible service at Canon. The impeccable service is the best anywhere we've been.

We've been coming to Canon for years-- it's so lovely that the food remains high quality and so consistently enjoyable. It is our go-to place for entertaining guests! Please keep up the amazing work at both front and back of house!

Top tier dining experience in their fully enclosed patio. Ambience is elevated but relaxed and welcoming. Dishes are aesthetically beautiful, well prepared and creative while still being approachable. Deep champagne and wine selection. Very good value for an enjoyable fine dining experience.

Canon is one of the best restaurants in Sacramento and our favorite place to come. The cocktails, food and service are always spot-on and the constantly updated menu keeps it exciting. We love the tots and the chicken drumsticks though, so glad they are still on the menu! We are sure to be back soon.

Amazing experience, first time here. We tried lots of small plates. The stand outs for me were the cucumber melon dish and the green bean dish, but everything was delicious!

Started with the "Blistered Pole Beans" and the entree was "Smoked Whole Chicken". The chicken was served with chili butter and this caught my eye. Both dishes were very good and different flavor and taste. Was not an ordinary green beans chicken. I have not had a bad meal here. I love that it has an open kitchen. Service was very good not pushing but caring and willing to answer your questions. The inside dinning is very open, not crowded. Has a clean relaxing ambiance. Things you should know: 1. Parking is only on the street. Can be difficult to find an open space. We only plan on coming back on a week day because of that. 2. I made a reservation during the sunset time. Not good, the restaurant faces west and during the summer months every time someone opens the front door or the patio door you get hit with the intense light. These two thing will not prevent me from returning. The food and services out weights them.

Amazing atmosphere, exceptional food, and perfect service. Our server almost never interrupted us, while still somehow always showing up when we needed him. One of our favorite spots in Sacramento.

Amazing multi-course meal. Innovative mix of flavors from the fluffy, airy cheese buns, to the purple sweet potatoes with corn salsa, taters with mole sauce, all the way to the peach tart with an incredibly flaky pasty. Very good wine list, too. Lastly, amazing, open air dining room, ringed by olive trees. Could have been in Italy!

Really liked the food and drinks. The sweetgarleek was not my favorite but the ahi tuna, dessert (dessert is a must), drinks, and service were all wonderful so giving 5 stars.

I love Canon. Sitting out on the patio is always very pleasant. It's quiet. It's temperature controlled for the most part. It's a lovely area to eat. You can hear each other talk. The food is always so creative, so fresh, and the weight staff always knows everything about the cocktails, the wine, and all the food items which are not typical and change all the time, we had some wonderful tots sauce that was delicious. We also had a halibut entrée a summer squash, side dish and an heirloom tomato roasted dish. That was really wonderful. We topped it off with a cobbler. That was very unique. Don't be afraid to try things that are new because they use the freshest ingredients, and they know what they're doing at Canon.
