Best dirty chai in Sac, some of the worse service in Sac. Pricy and slow, but good coffee. Can’t attest to their food options. Very limited car parking; ensure you walk or bike

It was my first time at this location. I drove into Sac for a day conference. At 6am, it was great to find this coffee shop open. I enjoyed my Flat White & my avocado toast. Also bought a couple of bags of Pocos de Caldas coffee.

This coffee feels like a warm hug in a mug. It’s rich, aromatic, and comforting. I can’t imagine my mornings without it now

This place on Freeport Blvd is so pretentious and take themselves way to seriously! Could have gotten a more flavorful cup of coffee across the street at McDonalds. Asked for a cup of dark roast and got some transparent tea colored flavorless I don’t know what? Asked where the cream was and it had to be hidden behind the counter. The young lady behind the counter actually told me she had to pour the cream for me. Completely sterile environment and $3.75 for a small cup of coffee that I could only take two sips of before tossing it in the square file.
So, apparently when you order food they don't believe you need silverware. And whatever you do, don't order a macchiato because I was completely finished with my food before they could "get the grind right" to make one cup of coffee.
Like, y'all literally have one job. Coffee.
4 people could not make one cup for over 20 minutes? Never been here before.
Most likely won't come back.

Given this cafe many chances, but generally the service is remarkably slow and the drinks are surprisingly unremarkable or incorrect. Hoping that they can improve, would like this to the neighborhood spot, but it’s really not

Thoroughly average experience. The pumpkin chai was delicious, the $6 toast was incredibly underwhelming, the cardamom mocha was bland. Nothing was bad. The atmosphere felt like a Monday on a Saturday. Long line, moved fast, efficient service without any pleasantries.

Dietary restrictions: My daughter has a nut allergy and they were able to take off the Dukkah.
Kid-friendliness: Some nice treats for kids. Easy to eat in.

Growing up in Sacramento but not living here for almost 40 years, I have been fascinated by the changes. I needed a break place during a recent drive and found Chocolate Fish. What a great vibe. Open space, strong wifi, and excellent latte. The two people at the counter were excellent: helpful and friendly. I don't get to Sac often, but this will definitely be on the radar for the next time I need a stopover latte.

For some reason this location was designed with out any plugs for the cafe area. If by pure looking to get a drink and work be forewarned.

Big serving of cold brew for $3.75. I wanted to see if it would be a good place to work on my laptop, but unfortunately it's super echo-y inside. Toasts looked nice.
