Ok. The food was excellent. Mac and cheese is solid. It's not try to achieve anything but comfort. The battered and deep fried Brussels Sprouts are spot on with a great seasoning. The fried pork chops were hot, moist, tender, and very tasty.
My only warning is I'm not a deep fried eaters any longer, so two fried items has me with the oily stomach. Not a negative, but a heads up to weigh having the beans or yams instead.
Definitely a repeat place.

I will start off by saying, the food is fire! Hard to really find good comfort soul food nowadays, but Creole Soul hit the spot! When in the restaurant, you order at the front then seating is first come first serve. We went on a Saturday night, pretty busy, but luckily found a cute 2 seater by the window. To order drinks, you have to go to the bar. It’s tricky because the bar is small and people were sitting there, which made it a little awkward to order and pay in between people eating and talking. I ordered a lavender margarita with a sugar rim, it was Perfect! Overall, I will be ordering again!

Wow 🤩 the food was Excellent and I am very picky with Food esp Soul Food. However, I have to give them a 10/10. The staff was very friendly, and the place is nice and clean with a Good wholesome Soul Vibe with nice Music. My Hubby and I left with Food for the next day or two we had plenty of left over’s. Plus we live about 40min away and yes we’ve been back for round 2 esp for the Oxtails this time around and they were so flavorful and tender just falling off the bone in the savory gravy over rice just yummy. It was so delicious that I didn’t get a chance to take a Pic of our plates lol…I am definitely referring everyone I know to come and enjoy a nice Soul Food meal in Sacramento. We will be back again to try something new on the menu being that you guys have delivered on every meal thus far. Thanks Creole Soul we will see you guys Soon God Bless and One Love. :)

OMG! Hands down the best Soul Food place in California, and that is a lot! The wife had theshrimpp and garlic noodles, and although she was full, she kept on eating until she could not take another bite anymore. I had the smothered porkchops, with red beans and the cheese roll thing... freaking yummy! Seasoned right, porkchops still had crunchy parts even with the gravy, rice was cooked right, gravy was not too overpowering and compliments the porkchops. Portions was awesome. Price is just right for the amount of food you get and the yummy food! Would travel here from San Francisco any day!
Vibe was great and welcoming.
Service, the welcomed me like family.

The brisket sandwich was delicious. I bought for son who had nothing but good things to say. I requested an item that was not on the menu that day but the chief hooked it up. His words "I got you" the Creole Shrimp was fire.

I thought the atmosphere was kicked back in a prime location. Perfect place to catch up with friends for good vibes, drinks, and conversation. The food was good, I had wings and fries and would definitely order them again. I look forward to trying other items on the menu.

Best creole food in Sac, period. The drinks were boozy and excellent. Also got wings, they were tasty but nothing special. It's on the pricy side but I'd happily pay the premium for how good the food is. They forgot our sides and we had to ask twice, so took a point off for service. Easy street parking nearby.
