Sad to see Danny go BUT give knotty knots a try you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how great they are! They’re almost like a funnel cake and a Krispy Kreme had a baby. That’s the best way I can describe it. They are hot fresh and delicious and the new owner is a super nice guy. They are the best fresh homemade donuts I’ve ever had next to Danny’s. I’d highly recommend trying the glazed knots! I went back the next day for another order because they were soo good :)

We came here after visiting the train museum. My nephew and his family really enjoy the treats at this place and make a point of coming here whenever they are in town. The most popular draw here, is their fresh mini donuts. They ordered a combination of half chocolate and vanilla icing with sprinkles. I tried one of each and found them hot and fresh, but somewhat greasy. It seems eating them almost straight out of the oil vat may not be suitable for those with sensitive stomachs. I admit they were tasty, but my stomach, (which isn't THAT sensitive) didn't feel too agreeable a little later. It looks like I'm late writing at what I thought might be a helpful review, but now I have noticed that this place has closed. While we were there, they had a sign posted that this business was up for sale. Maybe a transition is currently happening or something new will take it's place. I want to mention that donuts are my weakness, but greasy ones are not!

Mini donuts are so delicious!Me and my family have made it a tradition to always make a stop at Danny’s donut for donuts, lemonade, and hot dogs.

First, this is no longer Danny's Donuts, it's a shop called Knotty Knots. Don't let this 4.6 Star review influence you into thinking it's still Danny's. My wife and I always drove by Danny's and never stopped, today we decided to stop and we didn't notice the change of name(our fault).Second, this place is absolutely horrible. The "donuts" that are supposed to be "Pillowy, Chewy, Airy" were anything BUT advertised. The "Knots" were broken up donuts with a knot in the middle. EVERYTHING was COLD and hard to chew. The variety of donuts were pretty much all glazed but with cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar topped on it. They didn't even have any "naked" variety as we were told it'd be 15min+ wait for those.Third, the pricing for what you get, is a horrible ratio. I get it's old sac and it's bound to be expensive but at least give me fresh, hot donuts not whatever it was we got. $24 for the total amount of maybe 3 whole donuts you'd get for $3 at your local Safeway or BelAir.Save yourself the trip, save yourself the money, save yourself the disappointment.I hate leaving bad reviews but the fact that this place is riding off what Danny built is absolutely ridiculous. Utterly disappointed.

I think they are closed. I am really sad. This was one of my favorite places and a staple in old sac. I went there Today (3/21/24) and a new donut shop is there. They do not sell mini donuts but sell knots and such.

I was informed they stop accepting DoorDash Orders from a loose “whenever we choose” time frame of 5:00 - 5:30pm yet failed to communicate this information with Doordash. My order was immediately cancelled when placed and then the tricky Doordash refund process had begun.I called to inform them of this discrepancy. I wasn’t angry nor was i expecting service. I simply stated what happened and advised they update their hours because more customers probably faced this issue. I was hung up on without an apology or assurance the discrepancy would be addressed Unprofessional. Rude. Callous.It was my first experience even trying out this store and i’ll probably never patron it again. I would strongly advise anyone expecting decent service to seek a better establishment.

What you get is not what you see there, ready for sale. Toppings are just sprinkled and not dipped, so everything mostly end up on the box bottom in the donuts!
