Food was above our expectations. The only real negative was the drink prices. $18 for a Tanqueray and tonic. Really? I expect those prices at a concert, but that's ridiculous for a restaurant.

Food was delicious! We were welcomed by the manager at our table! Our server was great! We were offered a complimentary dessert for my birthday! Very happy with the overall experience!

Our previous 4 visits to Echo and Rig have been consistently outstanding. The meal on this particular evening, however, was subpar. While the filet mignon was excellent, the hanger and rib eye steaks were well below expectation on this particular visit. It also didn't quite help matters that our over-worked server was only able to visit us only twice during the evening - take our order and to deliver us the check. Maybe an off night, but it will be awhile before we return.

Awesome service...awesome cocktails...awesome food! Recommend the ribeye steak...perfectly rare and really good. Fried Castelvetrano olives...calamari...risotto...pork belly sides were DEE LISH US!!! Our Echo and Rig dinner date was FAR better than the Firehouse dinner date. The food is waaay better and our waiter, Michael (I think??) was attentive and professional...and he had a great sense of humor. It was a birthday celebration also and we were given FREE dessert which was a delicious vanilla ice cream with homemade pound cake and berries....thank you! WE WILL BE BACK!

We had a good lunch this morning. The food was very delicious. My wife enjoyed the N.Y. egg sandwich (basically a couple fried eggs with bacon) and a side salad. I had the butcher's burger with cheddar cheese and bacon with fresh cut French fries. They have a good selection of local beers on tap. Service was adequate during a bit of a rush. Pleasant dining atmosphere.

Highly recommend. Fantastic service and incredible food. The salmon and swordfish were both excellent, as were the mashed potatoes and the brussel sprouts. The only downside was the noise level inside, but we were there at peak dinner time right before a concert, so that was expected. Otherwise, really great dining experience. Will most definitely be back.

Slow service 1st of all. Food was very good except the steak, which you think would have been the star. Ordered ribeye cap steak medium rare, came very rare...almost tartar....grissly also, was barely warm. Ive had much better steaks than this. Too bad, the rest of the groups dinners were very good....just not my night I guess.

Super great experience and our host Kim was amazing! The food was great and just like the last time I was there so I was very impressed and happy that we came back here for my son birthday!

Our server was the only thing that stopped us walking out. The food was terrible. The steaks got sent back and the oysters weren't even the size of a teaspoon. Steaks were over salted and full of gristle so back they went. Our friends fillet was as chewy as when it's expected to be the softest buttery steak out there. Googled best steakhouse in California and it came up as number one. Once again google was wrong. Someone is doing clever marketing....don't bother keep scrolling.

The Service was excellent and the Staff was polite and knowledgeable of the menu. The pork belly was fatty and I've had better steaks elsewhere. The grilled cabbage was great.

Our meal was absolute perfection! We tried the skirt steak with the onion sauce and a filet mignon with the chimichurri, brussel sprouts, risotto and the shrimp cocktail... we were thrilled with our entire meal and savored every bite. This was an anniversary meal for us and it was exactly what we had hoped for.

Something was off during our experience at Echo and Rig. We happened to be seated just in front of the order ticketing area (not sure what it would be called). Servers were clearly stressed out and likely dealing with understaffed restaurant. Making comments like I am doing the best I can or I don't have time. Soup was cold, yes cold. Server was gracious and replaced with warm soup and said it was on the house. It was on our bill. Steak was unevenly cooked (ny strip) and unevenly seasoned;salt on one side not on the other. Both Caesar and bib salad were over dressed. Two of our party did not receive drinks until after appetizer was served. Server was working very hard and I know it is more of a management problem but for a nice restaurant with what could be expected prices, it wasn't a good look. However, porcini frites, mashed potatoes and cauliflower were delicious! Maybe just an off night.

I like the location it is right next to the golden 1 center which is where we were heading after lunch. The food was okay not great I got the ribeye sandwich. The sandwich was very salty and they way they sliced the meat on the sandwich made it very tough.

Weekends they only do the brunch menu. Open table didn't show that. The manager allowed us to order off the lunch menu after we went to leave. Server spoke so quietly we could barely hear her. Drinks took a long time. Food was tasty, but steaks were raw when they came out the guest time. They were cooked right when they came back.

The service was subpar, for being a steak house the steaks were tough, no seasoning and small portions. There are many other places in Sac that have a much better steak at this price point. Way over priced, loud and just ok.
