I came to pick up my custom order. Although it wasn’t too busy, the lady behind the counter was very pushy and rushed people to order. Customers weren’t given time to look at the case of pasties before she kept repeating “anything else?” before we even finished speaking. I’ve been coming to this place for over a decade and never have I felt more like a transaction being pressured to hurry up and pushed out the door. The lady behind the counter may have been trying to keep the line going but it was very abrasive and quite overstimulating, it really took away from the experience of supporting a local bakery. I drive quite a ways to come here, after this experience I don’t plan on coming back.

This place will never get my money Again!
First off I walked into their establishment and one of the workers I guess was talking to me ,but I couldn’t really hear them because their voice was so low .
Another worker came and asked how could I be helped ,but ..in a like are you lost? kind of way . I told them I was their for pick up and recited my last name , the worker then assumed ,after I gave my last name that my first name was Latisha! . I am a black female so no need to ask where would they get that assumption from , but nonetheless didn’t ask me what my first name was in the first place!
The atmosphere was very uninviting for me and received weird looks from all the workers. I don’t want a refund or any apologies just wanted to let it be known they are prejudice ! And was treated poorly.

Dry, or stale cinnamon roll and croissants.
Atmosphere is excellent, but we came for the food and were disappointed. It’s a shame.

After all the time I've lived in and/or around the Sacramento Valley, this was my first visit to Freeport Bakery!!! Yes, my first. And, they did an awesome job with my parent's 60th Anniversary cake . . . It looked great and tasted even better! We went with the Fleur-de-lis Cake. I will definitely be back to enjoy a yummy cup of coffee and one of the many yummy pastries.

We arrived shortly before they were closing and it was pretty busy. The entrance and ordering space not very big so it felt very closterphobic trying to look at the options and order with all the people crowded there. I was unable to get to the cake selection to see, so I will go back when it's less crowded for that.
We got some adorable and delicious fall cupcakes and a dozen peanut butter cookies. I would have probably ordered more cookies in more flavors but I really felt hurried and pushed so didn't have much time to annually look at all that was offered in the case.
Everything we got was super yummy, and I loved the cookies. They were perfect in texture and thickness. And the cupcakes not only looked great but smelled amazing.

Is it normal for Freeport Bakery’s customer service to be crap now? Not once but twice now my husband has tried to get me something from there and a lady has been completely rude to him. Once in person about a month ago, so he left. Again, today at 12:36pm ( so whoever answered the phone then…shame on you) she told him to “ look it up online and call back when I know what I want.” He was trying to do something nice because my 30th birthday is this Sunday and I’ve been getting my cakes here since I was a year old. What happened to hospitality and great customer service nowadays? Thank you for all these years but thank you even more to the person who has ruined this place for me. Ettore’s it is.

Called Freeport Bakery last minute and talked with Kelly. I needed an edible image cake in two days, it usually takes them five. I was unsure if I’d be able to have it in time, but Kelly and the team here were able to get it done in time. The cake came out PERFECT. I didn’t know what flavor my friend would like so I decided fudge and actually found out after ordering that he’s not a fan of cake because it’s too rich (oh well, too late). I called back and asked if we could switch the flavor to something lighter, and Kelly was able to help me decide on a fruit mix cake which was amazing. Very grateful for the staff here for working with me and making this so easy
