Hands down the best drinking chocolate in Northern California. I'll fight you for this one! I also recently had an Easter egg filled with marshmallow and caramel that was just amazing. This is THE place to go for artisan chocolates in the Central Valley. Every time I'm in Sacramento I make a point to take home a selection of chocolates. I'm partial to the caramels, which are a soft, runny caramel as opposed to a chewy caramel. I highly recommend following the shop on social media as they have specials they run during holidays that make for perfect gifts.

Decided to check this place out. As I walked in you could smell the scent of the yummy chocolates and fresh baked cookies. I wanted one of everything! Service was good. The lady at the counter to care of me as I was deciding what to buy. I decided on the chocolate and orange blossom Madeleines. They were ok but not great they just didn't taste fresh. I also bought the brown butter oatmeal cookie and the chocolate chunk peanut pretzel cookie. The cookies were to die for. Yummy, soft and delicious. I would definitely come back to buy more cookies and try some of the other desserts that they offer. Wish the Madeleines tasted as good as the cookies .

Love this place. Wish they did not get rid of their pastries because those were better than the chocolate! Cute boutique. Hope they can keep the coffee. Love the farm to fork vibe with the local ingredients. Maybe she'll hire a new chef for the pastries-I know she just was too tired to do it all but so many people I know loved that portion of the business.

Great customer service and selection! Location is great if you are at the wine bar across the hall and want to pop over after for a dessert

We are so fortunate in Sacramento to have this internationally renowned chocolate shop. Today I tried her new items for Easter season and they were all incredible. Favorite was the cookies and cream macaron ice cream sandwich. The buttercream inside is to die for. Give me just a scoop of that, please! Also I highly recommend the new peanut and chocolate covered pretzel cookie. The decor here is so charming and festive and refreshing and inviting. My favorite thing is the homemade marshmallows though. Have fun!

This was one of my favorite finds during a Saturday venture for the day in Sacramento! My friend and I wandered around midtown and saw something peeking through the window, I'm so glad we stuck our heads in to explore the beauty of all things baked and chocolate. We were warmly greeted by the staff and they took the time to explain about how the chocolate is based out of France. If I could have bought one of everything I totally would. I like that although hot chocolate stays hot, they were able to make an iced latte with rose petals on it. I ordered an almond rocha cupcake, a macaron and a few of the chocolates. Everything was wonderful and I will definitely come back. I loved the set up of the interior of the store as well there was some outside seating that I saw customers with their purchases enjoying the nice weather.

The best thing they sell is the macarons so far from what I have tried. I appreciate that they use high quality ingredients and do not use artificial food coloring in their macarons. The chocolates are overpriced (about 3 dollars a piece) despite the small size of each one. I do think they should have a little more texture and flavor to them for that price. I think it's the elaborate packaging that we are paying for. The staff is very friendly and helpful. During my first visit the staff wasn't as attentive and there was little variety at the patisserie but they have gotten rid of the pastries which I miss but they improved in providing variety and fresh goods. Overall it is a place I would go again.

This place is for those who love REAL chocolates: none of that added BS. My partner and I loved this place so much that we went twice within the same weekend when we were visiting Sacramento. We tasted their truffles, cookies, ice cream macaroon sandwich, madeleine, mocha, and bought a chocolate bar home too. Everything was absolutely delectable and gorgeous. Already thinking about what else to try when we go back Super cute vibes, very friendly staff (major shoutout to Joel who was working Friday evening 3/8 and went above and beyond in his recommendations to us)! Very worth going and great place to get gifts too.

Upon entering I was immediately greeted and offered a complimentary chocolate. Which was delicious. The menu has changed to reflect more of the original mission which is elite chocolate. I was okay with that. I had the European sipping chocolate and I immediately felt like I was in an intimate cafe in Paris. Very decadent and rich texture. I can never go back to American hot chocolate again.

I cannot express how disappointed I am that GE no longer serves pastries. After moving from NYC a few years ago, I was relieved and delighted to discover GE Patisserie. Their cruffins might not have been as amazing as Ansel's famous cronut, but they were still fantastic. Their Kouign-amanns rivaled b. patisserie in SF and Waikiki. As time progressed, their pastry offerings dwindled, but I could always count on a perfect cinnamon roll. But now... only chocolates. While the chocolates are of high quality, I will have to rely on Moonbelly's limited hours and quantities (and never having choc almond croissants in stock) and the hit-or-miss selection of Faria bakery. Estelle is a solid option but becomes a little boring. I suppose more frequent trips to SF for Arsicault Bakery are in order. I'm conflicted in this review. 3 stars which I'm sure I'll increase later. I'll get chocolates seldomly and ice cream when they offer it.For now, I weep.

The chocolates and macarons are pretty good. I like that there are no preservatives in the chocolates.

We always love the amazing pastries and chocolates at Ginger Elizabeth. Sad the breakfast sandwich was taken off the menu - it was our favorite. The staff are so helpful and efficient. I would love to see a changing table added to the bathroom for kiddos.

My wife and I visited Ginger Elizabeth last week on her birthday. The associate who handled our order, was very reluctant to place the desserts we purchased into a bag. We had to ask!!! Not only does Ginger Elizabeth miss out on branding opportunities with this type of service, it’s just terrible customer service. We’ve never had this type of issue with See’s, the service at See’s is far superior and much friendlier. We typically visit GE 3-4 times per year. This last experience was not it!!!
