Visited family in that area last month & my daughter took us to Veg Cafe for brunch...the french toast was wonderful..the fries were top notch & would love to know what coating or frying method is used to make them the most fantastic fries! Now all other fries will be blah in comparison.
We visited Sacramento for the Vegan Chef Challenge. We had 8 meals at 7 restaurants. Veg definitely had the tastiest dishes in our experience (Revolution Cafe was a close second). Moussaka was the Veg entry in the VCC. It tasted like my Mom's lasagna but Veg's Moussaka managed to capture the same cheesy, meaty flavor and still be vegan. Same with the dish my wife had, the Chicken Fettuccine. The vegan chicken slices were so moist and tender, nothing like the typical faux meat.
