Food was excellent - we had potstickers, Peking duck fried rice, immigrant beef, orange chicken, honey walnut prawns and vegetable chow mein. Everything was hot, cooked perfectly and delicious. Adult bevs were also great - highly recommend the Mai tai and chipotle tequila drink.“

“I’ve been to El Cantaro in Monterey about 10 times! I’m looking forward to going to the Sacramento version of this restaurant today! That has some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. “Wow it's been 20 yrs. Since my dad passed. We no longer have Luis's which I'm sry I grew up with and loved. So we go for some authentic mexican. We had crispy beef tacos, cheese enchiladas. And 3 enchilads beef. Chicken and cheese. It was just awful. Tortillas were store bought and extra charge, sauce and salsa for chips tasted like out of a jar or can. Beans were good.Waiter was surly felt not one smile beneath that mask.(I saw the black girl's comment) We are white if that helps) Service was fast. Ambiance is great but I was just really cravin some good authentic mexican. We won't be back.left most of our food on the plate. $79.00 for 3 of us.“

“My friends saw some IG promos of this place and we decided to check it out.
Decent location off of Folsom Blvd/65th, tiny parking lot but plenty of street parking.
We dined as, as we often do when grabbing pizza for dinner. We arrived at 6pm and were the only ones there. Don't mind, whole place to ourselves. When we walked in, the two staff members were sitting in the dining area to see us arrive and promptly assisted us with our order. First order was a half chicken tikka and half Italian garlic combo. Second order was half tandoori chicken and also half Italian combo.
While we waited for our food, we checked out the decor and it's a nice spot with lots of seating and 3 large TVS.
Wall of tap beer for you to choose from and I really like the Bollywood movie quotes on the front wall. Saw one of my fav quotes up there too! One of the TVs was playing a movie and the other had on music videos. We heard neither. It was dead silent in there, which was a downer. Was hoping for some lively music.
Food was BUSSIN! The tandoori chicken pizza was a 10/10! Masala ranch is hella good. Chicken tikka, which is normally my fav at other Indian pizza spots was maybe a 6/10. I give the Italian garlic combo a solid 5.
We will definitely be back. But maybe next time we will come later at night. This place had a sign out front that they are open from 10AM - 6AM!! Wild. I can definitely see this place being popular with the late night college crowa.“

“Meeting a friend for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, she recommended we come to Southside Super. I had never heard of this place or dined here before so I was excited to try something new!

When we arrived, it was fairly crowded, but we managed to place our order at the register and snag a seat inside. Unfortunately, having arrived later in the day, all of the hot and cold to-go items were sold out.

I decided to try the chicken pho from their made-to-order menu. My friend ordered the spam fried rice. The food came out relatively quickly, and you can tell that it is absolutely made with the utmost care, love, and highest quality of ingredients.

This was hands-down some of the best chicken pho I have ever had in my life. I will definitely be coming back to Southside Super, especially earlier in the day to try some of their grab and go items, as well as more of their menu.“

We decided to give it a try, and the service was excellent—helpful and attentive staff. I sampled four different tacos, all of which were delicious, and the margaritas were fresh and flavorful. It’s always wonderful to have plant based, vegetarian and vegan options on a menu. We love Greek and Mediterranean cuisine and are thrilled Jayna Gyro are in Sacramento now. “Came Friday dinner, around 7pm, busy, ~80% full, took ~40mins for the food to start trickle in. The deep fried gyoza were not hot when came out. Surprisingly were only warm. Tried bento box 2 items: sashimi and teriyaki beef. I enjoyed the salad more than expected. Love the house sauce. Teriyaki beef and sashimi were decent. My husband ordered a roll, can't remember the name now, it's decent as well.“

“Pipo is unique in that it has Thai & Ramen both! I stopped in for a quick lunch in between meetings and was very happy with the food, service, and pricing. For spicy lovers, you can adjust your level and spicy actually means spicy here. Their Thai tea selection is excellent as well. If you want to support a local small business run by a wonderful family, then this place is definitely worth a stop!“

“I have been to Hook & Ladder for drinks as well as dinner, and always had a good time. I can add brunch to that list. We made a reservation but there was only other group in the restaurant for most of our meal -- and I have no clue why. The food was wonderful. Our group's orders ran from a breakfast burrito and salmon benedict to pork belly hash and two-egg breakfast. Major thumbs up by everyone. Staff was attentive, personable and entertaining. At many of the other establishments we have gone to for brunch, we need to wait for a table since reservations aren't taken. If you don't want to wait, make a reservation at Hook & Ladder -- even if the restaurant is empty like it was for us. We will be back.“
