“This place has all you can eat sushi which pretty much tells you everything you need to know about it haha. But they have a lot more than just sushi! They also have cooked foods, appetizers, soups, and all sorts of interesting dishes. And to top it all off, they have a full bar with lots of unique and very affordable drink options! The service is pretty fast and the fish is actually pretty good for all you can eat. I'd definitely consider coming back again sometime!“

“Food looks amazing. Tastes okay but doesn’t match the appearance. Loco moco wasn’t bad, the patty was a bit overcooked and rice was very mushy. I also felt that the chicken katsu could have used more seasoning. The batter felt overpowering and could use some more balancing as well.“

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wasn't expecting the food to be much but was surprised. It is top quality food and at cheaper pricing than you can get elsewhere for sushi. “Absolutely the best sushi in Sacramento. I discovered them on a date, we decided sushi on a whim when the raman place several blocks into mid town was closed. It was during the transition of new ownership before their official re-grand opening. They had for the first time cut their dry aged tuna sashimi. My girlfriend and I had just finished and we're about to pay when the owners stopped us for a sampling after we had just finished one of the best sushi meals we have ever had.

The dry aged sashimi was the icing on the cake, it had a clean and buttery flavor. The fish melted in our mouths and was unlike anything we had ever had before. Since then we have gone back several times and it has become our favorite restaurant.

The spicy edamame is also the best I have ever eaten, the other dry aged options available are also just as amazing.

I highly recommend ordering the real hand grated wasabi and skipping the stuff from the tube. If you order the dry age, it comes with a serving that for us was able to be used across 2 rolls.

The presentation of the food also met every expectation I could have had entering the restaurant.“

They also offer bentos featuring salmon, mackeral, beef, and karaage. They also offer fresh, made-in-store sushi rolls. The bentos and sushi aren't available mainly on Sundays and Mondays but best to check with store staff. Which is very easy to do because the staff are extremely kind, helpful and always greet you with a smile.“

“We love this place. Much attention is given to presentation and the food is excellent. This time we tried the Black Cod Steak. Cooked perfectly in a lovely sauce on top of asparagus.
Their starters are also very good. In addition to the Sonomono we tried the breaded fried Oysters that came with a creamy crab dipping sauce. Again, excellent. If you are adventurous or just love trying new tasty foods you will love this place. It is small and you will want to get there early, if you don’t want to wait.“

“I've been coming here for over 16 yrs. I'll be very honest the only thing I order is the Bibimbap #17, no spicy. I just love the sesame sesame seed oil. The vegetables are gently sauteed in the sesame seed oil, chicken is char grilled for the prefect touch of smoke..they have some traditional items that look fresh and delicious.“

“The staff are very friendly and professional. The food is delicious. I’ve never been unsatisfied with a dish I’ve ordered here, and we probably go once a month. The Lion King roll and Crazy Roll are personal favorites. The agedashi tofu and bbq albacore are also quite good! The restaurant doesn’t have the biggest footprint so it can get busy and a little loud during peak dinner hours. However, if you’re going for lunch or early dinner then it’s a very nice and relaxing place to be.“

“Got the super star roll, hand roll, and mix tempura. Sushi was very good, especially the hand rolls. The sushi rolls had a perfect rice mix ratio and it was delicious. The mix tempura was just ok. Tempura batter was kinda thick, hard, and too crunchy, hence the 4 stars. At the moment, Chef Frank is probably my favorite sushi spot.“

The exact same roll ended up looking like crap and had no sauce at all. What a bummer..when you pay a premium for sushi you should get decent sushi. This was crap and I can't believe they served it to us after we had just spent a bunch of money eating in. We won't be back. If getting to go, check your food. They do not care about the customer and will sneak awful rolls into your bag without care.“

“Been coming here for years. The owners are super nice. There are several business clustered together and sometimes parking can be a challenge. The teriyaki chicken is plentiful and cooked just right. I love their teriyaki sauce. Every place makes their sesame chicken different, theirs is thin and crunchy, seems like a pounded out fillet of breast. Plenty of tables if you wish to stay and eat, I usually call ahead for a to go order.“

“Was hungry for lunch and had errands to run nearby (R Street). At first I scoffed at the price for a katsu sando bc $16 is a lot. When it came out, I saw it was worth it. Not because it's delicious--it is--but because it is a HEFTY sandwich. I ordered the Jtown spicy chicken. I ate half + half a cookie and was stuffed. I took the other half home. The little box it came in was heavy. It's a solid block of yum. I would definitely come back for a shared lunch next time. Nice staff. Sunny table. Great cookie. The black sesame miso chocolate chip cookie was amazingly chewy and beautiful. I'll be back.“

“Gift card scam. Mikunis implemented a new protocol in 2022. Any gift cards that were purchased before a certain (unknown) date, and now utilized, will be zeroed out. Back story: I attempted to use a gift card today (April 2023) and was informed it had a zero balance. The server kept my card. I had a gut feeling, asked for the card back. I spoke to the manager about how I could have a zero balance when I had never used it. The manager informed me that corporate zeroed out all gift cards that weren’t used. In order for me to get my money on the gift card, I have to call corporate headquarters and “request” an inquiry; which I did to no avail. It’s not about “expired” gift cards. It’s about not informing consumers ahead of a new rule that gift cards be zeroed out before a certain date. I’ve used 10 year old gift cards at other restaurants without any problem. Biggest scam ever.“

“Order and pay upfront, this place actually remind me of being in Japan. The chicken katsu curry plate full of sauce, interesting but not exactly our favorite. The ramen noodle was good, but the original ramen only comes with a big piece of pork belly and an egg.“

“Good decent food and good service. This place have a drive thru to order or you can just dine in. Got myself the combo beef & chicken, eggroll, rice, veggies, and small drink. Good portion amount. Somehow, I like the eggrolls here. Only veggies, yet it's crunchy and flavorful (includes a sweet dipping sauce). The beef seem like it was pre-cooked and then heated up. It tasted ok in a pinch if you need beef to mix it up with other items. The chicken was freshly grilled, tender, not dry, and delicious ...highly recommended. Skip the beef, instead get the chicken!“

“A total hidden gem for the food alone! You get an unbelievable amount of food for just $15. I got the spicy option Teriyaki Plate, and the flavor was hit out of the park it was so sweet, savory, and perfectly spicy with a great char. To be fair, the customer service and indoor atmosphere could definitely be worked on, and the location isn’t the best. But honestly, I came purely for the food, and it delivered 100%. I'll definitely be back for more!“

“In my opinion, Azukar Sushi is the best all-you-can-eat, made-to-order sushi restaurant in the Sacramento area! There are so many options to choose from, with an incredible variety of sushi rolls and other dishes.

The fish is incredibly fresh, soft, and flavorful. Beyond the sushi, they also have tasty carpaccio, poke tuna, salads, and more. The tempura is nice and crispy, and you definitely have to save room for dessert—the fried banana and donuts are delicious!

The restaurant is spacious and, even on busier days, the service is impressively quick. With the huge selection, fresh ingredients, generous variety, and great service, Azukar Sushi is definitely one of my favorite spots for all-you-can-eat sushi. Highly recommended!“

“I placed an online catering order for my son's birthday and the food was awesome! Our guests were asking where the food was from. The owner was very sweet. The guys who work there are also very helpful. He even helped bring the trays out to my car!

We typically order to-go, but the inside is very spacious and clean. It is also kid-friendly, which is nice.
