I ordered the Bulgogi Cupbap and thoroughly enjoyed it. The beef was tender and flavorful, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portion was satisfying without feeling overly heavy. The kimchi on the side was a nice added touch.

“Amazing sushi. Very authentic flavors of fish, uni a sake that is hard to find outside of Japan. I especially loved hamachi crudo, the chu-toro and dry aged white fish Kyrodau. Both mango and crème brule deserts are to die for. Sake selection on point - Dassai, Tenbi, Abe, even spotted Juyondai bottles in the fridge. Someone certainly knows their new age sake here. You must come visit this place if you are tired of chain sushi places like Mikuni’s.“

“We love this place. Much attention is given to presentation and the food is excellent. This time we tried the Black Cod Steak. Cooked perfectly in a lovely sauce on top of asparagus.
Their starters are also very good. In addition to the Sonomono we tried the breaded fried Oysters that came with a creamy crab dipping sauce. Again, excellent. If you are adventurous or just love trying new tasty foods you will love this place. It is small and you will want to get there early, if you don’t want to wait.“

I recently tried Young’s Teriyaki in Rancho Cordova, and it completely blew me away. The food here is genuinely top-chef level quality.

I ordered both the regular Teriyaki Bowl and the Spicy Chicken Bowl. Both were absolutely outstanding. The chicken was perfectly grilled, incredibly tender, and not dried out at all. The classic teriyaki sauce has the perfect balance of sweet and savory without being overwhelming. The spicy chicken had a fantastic kick to it that kept me coming back for more.The portions are generous, the ingredients taste incredibly fresh, and the flavors are spot on. If you are in the area and craving high-quality teriyaki, this is the absolute best spot in town. I will definitely be a regular customer here!“

“Delicious food! We shared the Chicken teriyaki bento plate and it was so much delicious fresh food. The terriyaki sauce was my favorite I’ve ever had. The chicken has a great char and the mushrooms in the teriyaki were a welcome surprise. The tempura was airy and light and had some fun additions like oyster mushrooms and kabocha squash. We also ordered two rolls, the Lion King and the So Fine. The fish was fresh and the sauces on top were amazing. We’re looking forward to coming back again soon.“

“Nara Sushi is a spacious Japanese restaurant in Folsom offering sushi, bento boxes, and other traditional dishes. During our visit for a late lunch, we were seated immediately and found the restaurant comfortable and easygoing. The dining room includes tables, booths, counter seating, and tablets at each table for electronic ordering.

We started with hot sake and gyoza before moving on to our main dishes. Our group ordered a nigiri and tempura bento box, a salmon teriyaki bento box, and a Spicy Yellowtail Roll. Everything was well prepared, portions were good, and everyone enjoyed their meal.

“I rarely feel compelled to write a review, but this place is a hidden gem. Roseville has plenty of excellent sushi, but sometimes a tucked away hole in the wall, with consistently great food, reasonable prices, and servers who treat you like family, is exactly what hits the spot.

It is easy to drive past without ever knowing it is there, but well worth finding. The rolls are excellent, the udon should not be missed, and there is a little treasure on the small plates menu called dragon balls. Highly recommended.“

“I've been coming here for over 16 yrs. I'll be very honest the only thing I order is the Bibimbap #17, no spicy. I just love the sesame sesame seed oil. The vegetables are gently sauteed in the sesame seed oil, chicken is char grilled for the prefect touch of smoke..they have some traditional items that look fresh and delicious.“

“I recently dined at this restaurant and came away with a generally positive impression, though there is definitely room for improvement regarding their sushi portions. Right from the start, the overall atmosphere was great; the entire dining area was spotlessly clean, and the service was consistently good and welcoming.

For my meal, I decided to sample a couple of their signature sushi options. We ordered the Caterpillar roll and the Kamikaze roll. In terms of construction, both rolls suffered from a bit of an imbalance in their ingredients. The Caterpillar roll was filled mostly with cucumber, leaving only very small, sparse bits of eel inside. Similarly, the Kamikaze roll was packed with too much crunchy cucumber, which slightly overwhelmed the spicy tuna mix.

However, despite the rolls being skimped on fish and overloaded with vegetable filler, the quality of the food was still quite high. Every bite was remarkably fresh, clean, and tasty. The flavors are definitely there, and the kitchen clearly uses good components. If the chefs can balance out the ratios to include a bit more seafood and less cucumber, this place would easily earn a top rating from me.“

It tasted ok in a pinch if you need beef to mix it up with other items. The chicken was freshly grilled, tender, not dry, and delicious ...highly recommended. “Gift card scam. Mikunis implemented a new protocol in 2022. Any gift cards that were purchased before a certain (unknown) date, and now utilized, will be zeroed out. Back story: I attempted to use a gift card today (April 2023) and was informed it had a zero balance. The server kept my card. I had a gut feeling, asked for the card back. I spoke to the manager about how I could have a zero balance when I had never used it. The manager informed me that corporate zeroed out all gift cards that weren’t used. In order for me to get my money on the gift card, I have to call corporate headquarters and “request” an inquiry; which I did to no avail. It’s not about “expired” gift cards. It’s about not informing consumers ahead of a new rule that gift cards be zeroed out before a certain date. I’ve used 10 year old gift cards at other restaurants without any problem. Biggest scam ever.“
