“This place has all you can eat sushi which pretty much tells you everything you need to know about it haha. But they have a lot more than just sushi! They also have cooked foods, appetizers, soups, and all sorts of interesting dishes. And to top it all off, they have a full bar with lots of unique and very affordable drink options! The service is pretty fast and the fish is actually pretty good for all you can eat. I'd definitely consider coming back again sometime!“

“Family friendly, dog friendly restaurant run by Dan and his family. Cozy and welcoming. The Unagi skillet is to die for - well balanced flavor and generous amount of unagi. The Okonomiyaki was super yummy. Love love the geso and karagee. Perfectly seasoned each bite and crispy. Our dog even got his own chef made food. Definitely one of the best brunch in Sactown. “Seoul 1979 was a great find. The service was quick, welcoming, and efficient, and the food tasted fresh and made with care.

I ordered the Bulgogi Cupbap and thoroughly enjoyed it. The beef was tender and flavorful, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portion was satisfying without feeling overly heavy. The kimchi on the side was a nice added touch.

I can’t speak for the Japanese offerings, but based on the Korean food alone, I’d happily come back.“

“Another fantastic addition to the Granite Bay dining scene! Tucked away in the former Peet’s Coffee plaza, this contemporary sushi spot is quickly becoming one of my new favorites.

The first thing I noticed was the quality and generosity of the food. Unlike many sushi restaurants, they don’t skimp on the fish or the rolls. Every dish was beautifully presented, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared.

The lobster tempura was perfectly seasoned with a light, crispy batter. The Liz Roll actually delivered on the spice (which is rare these days), and the sashimi was cut thick, buttery, and incredibly fresh. If you’re an oyster lover, don’t skip the fresh oysters—6 for $28 is a great deal. Their Happy Hour menu also offers plenty of delicious options, making it easy to sample a variety of dishes without breaking the bank.

Happy Hour runs Monday through Friday from 5–9 PM, so expect a crowd. During our visit, it seemed they may have been a bit short-staffed, and our food took longer than expected to arrive. Hopefully that’s just part of the growing pains of a popular new restaurant.

The only thing I’d love to see is a patio. With Granite Bay’s beautiful evenings, outdoor seating with a few cooling misters would make this place even more enjoyable while waiting for a table or lingering over sushi and drinks. Thankfully, they do offer a Yelp waitlist, which makes the wait much more manageable.

The staff remained friendly, welcoming, and appreciative despite how busy they were, which says a lot.

Overall, the quality of the food easily outweighed the wait. Fresh fish, generous portions, creative rolls, and a solid Happy Hour make this a place I’ll happily return to again and again. Looking forward to seeing this hidden gem continue to thrive!“

“We love this place. Much attention is given to presentation and the food is excellent. This time we tried the Black Cod Steak. Cooked perfectly in a lovely sauce on top of asparagus.
Their starters are also very good. In addition to the Sonomono we tried the breaded fried Oysters that came with a creamy crab dipping sauce. Again, excellent. If you are adventurous or just love trying new tasty foods you will love this place. It is small and you will want to get there early, if you don’t want to wait.“

I recently tried Young’s Teriyaki in Rancho Cordova, and it completely blew me away. The food here is genuinely top-chef level quality.

I ordered both the regular Teriyaki Bowl and the Spicy Chicken Bowl. Both were absolutely outstanding. The chicken was perfectly grilled, incredibly tender, and not dried out at all. The classic teriyaki sauce has the perfect balance of sweet and savory without being overwhelming. The spicy chicken had a fantastic kick to it that kept me coming back for more.The portions are generous, the ingredients taste incredibly fresh, and the flavors are spot on. If you are in the area and craving high-quality teriyaki, this is the absolute best spot in town. I will definitely be a regular customer here!“

We asked her for help as she was walking by but she cut me off before I could finish my question. She said very rudely to us “your server will help you with whatever you need,”before walking off. There were only 3 tables seated and it was not busy as we went right when they opened so I felt her response towards us was unnecessary and dismissive. I hope management will retrain staff as needed.

“Delicious food! We shared the Chicken teriyaki bento plate and it was so much delicious fresh food. The terriyaki sauce was my favorite I’ve ever had. The chicken has a great char and the mushrooms in the teriyaki were a welcome surprise. The tempura was airy and light and had some fun additions like oyster mushrooms and kabocha squash. We also ordered two rolls, the Lion King and the So Fine. The fish was fresh and the sauces on top were amazing. We’re looking forward to coming back again soon.“

The sushi was very good, the staff was friendly, and the prices were quite reasonable. The only thing that disappointed was the Oyako Don - which was overcooked. All in all - this was a great find.“

“I've been coming here for over 16 yrs. I'll be very honest the only thing I order is the Bibimbap #17, no spicy. I just love the sesame sesame seed oil. The vegetables are gently sauteed in the sesame seed oil, chicken is char grilled for the prefect touch of smoke..they have some traditional items that look fresh and delicious.“

“I recently dined at this restaurant and came away with a generally positive impression, though there is definitely room for improvement regarding their sushi portions. Right from the start, the overall atmosphere was great; the entire dining area was spotlessly clean, and the service was consistently good and welcoming.

For my meal, I decided to sample a couple of their signature sushi options. We ordered the Caterpillar roll and the Kamikaze roll. In terms of construction, both rolls suffered from a bit of an imbalance in their ingredients. The Caterpillar roll was filled mostly with cucumber, leaving only very small, sparse bits of eel inside. Similarly, the Kamikaze roll was packed with too much crunchy cucumber, which slightly overwhelmed the spicy tuna mix.

However, despite the rolls being skimped on fish and overloaded with vegetable filler, the quality of the food was still quite high. Every bite was remarkably fresh, clean, and tasty. The flavors are definitely there, and the kitchen clearly uses good components. If the chefs can balance out the ratios to include a bit more seafood and less cucumber, this place would easily earn a top rating from me.“

“Gift card scam. Mikunis implemented a new protocol in 2022. Any gift cards that were purchased before a certain (unknown) date, and now utilized, will be zeroed out. Back story: I attempted to use a gift card today (April 2023) and was informed it had a zero balance. The server kept my card. I had a gut feeling, asked for the card back. I spoke to the manager about how I could have a zero balance when I had never used it. The manager informed me that corporate zeroed out all gift cards that weren’t used. In order for me to get my money on the gift card, I have to call corporate headquarters and “request” an inquiry; which I did to no avail. It’s not about “expired” gift cards. It’s about not informing consumers ahead of a new rule that gift cards be zeroed out before a certain date. I’ve used 10 year old gift cards at other restaurants without any problem. Biggest scam ever.“

“Good decent food and good service. This place have a drive thru to order or you can just dine in. Got myself the combo beef & chicken, eggroll, rice, veggies, and small drink. Good portion amount. Somehow, I like the eggrolls here. Only veggies, yet it's crunchy and flavorful (includes a sweet dipping sauce). The beef seem like it was pre-cooked and then heated up. It tasted ok in a pinch if you need beef to mix it up with other items. The chicken was freshly grilled, tender, not dry, and delicious ...highly recommended. Skip the beef, instead get the chicken!“

“All you eat shushi buffet, order abd they’ll make fresh and can also order from the menu as well. Prices vary from lunch to dinner was $27, plus drinks and takeout box was $6 time a tiny box that only fits 8 shushi. Order digitally from the table. This place is always packed, arrive early. Ice cream is one scoop per bowl, so order two for each person. Same with appetizers 2 pieces per order, so order more than one! Not bad for the prices. If you love shushi this is the place for you!“

Love the food, one of my favorite places. But last time I used the online ordering system, it sent my food to the wrong location. I called to ask what happened, but what I was told is that all I could do is come pick up my already cold order. It was good but cold.
