Came in late Sunday where they had all day happy hour specials. They did have quite a few empty tables but all of them happened to have dirty dishes on them so I did have to wait a little before being seated (10 mins or so). They might have been short staffed this day especially an hour before closing.

Sat at the sushi bar and one of the sushi chefs took my order promptly. The staff here are so sweet (chef and floor waiter) and the rolls were outstanding. Fish was fresh, tempura was crunchy, presentation was beautiful and portions were generous (even with the side ginger!). I’ll be dreaming about these rolls until the next time I’ll be in the area. Even with the wait I was in and out of there within 40 minutes. Definitely worth the stop!“

“It's Sushi has easily become one of my go-to AYCE sushi restaurants. The quality of their seafood is outstanding and far exceeds what you would come to expect of an AYCE establishment. The menu is quite extensive and has different options of cooked and raw sushi as well as multiple dishes from the kitchen. The location is quite small so if you're going with a big party I recommend calling ahead. The restaurant parking is quite small but is connected to a bigger shopping plaza so there is a lot of parking available. The menu is split into 3 tiers, menu A, B, and C, with three varying price points which is nice if you dont like raw sushi, you dont have to pay for the nigiri. The sushi itself really highlights the fish quality not so much the rice, the nigiri has a tiny ball of rice only so it's not as filling.“

“I recently dined at this restaurant and came away with a generally positive impression, though there is definitely room for improvement regarding their sushi portions. Right from the start, the overall atmosphere was great; the entire dining area was spotlessly clean, and the service was consistently good and welcoming.

For my meal, I decided to sample a couple of their signature sushi options. We ordered the Caterpillar roll and the Kamikaze roll. In terms of construction, both rolls suffered from a bit of an imbalance in their ingredients. The Caterpillar roll was filled mostly with cucumber, leaving only very small, sparse bits of eel inside. Similarly, the Kamikaze roll was packed with too much crunchy cucumber, which slightly overwhelmed the spicy tuna mix.

However, despite the rolls being skimped on fish and overloaded with vegetable filler, the quality of the food was still quite high. Every bite was remarkably fresh, clean, and tasty. The flavors are definitely there, and the kitchen clearly uses good components. If the chefs can balance out the ratios to include a bit more seafood and less cucumber, this place would easily earn a top rating from me.“

“Gift card scam. Mikunis implemented a new protocol in 2022. Any gift cards that were purchased before a certain (unknown) date, and now utilized, will be zeroed out. Back story: I attempted to use a gift card today (April 2023) and was informed it had a zero balance. The server kept my card. I had a gut feeling, asked for the card back. I spoke to the manager about how I could have a zero balance when I had never used it. The manager informed me that corporate zeroed out all gift cards that weren’t used. In order for me to get my money on the gift card, I have to call corporate headquarters and “request” an inquiry; which I did to no avail. It’s not about “expired” gift cards. It’s about not informing consumers ahead of a new rule that gift cards be zeroed out before a certain date. I’ve used 10 year old gift cards at other restaurants without any problem. Biggest scam ever.“

Prices vary from lunch to dinner was $27, plus drinks and takeout box was $6 time a tiny box that only fits 8 shushi. Order digitally from the table. This place is always packed, arrive early. Ice cream is one scoop per bowl, so order two for each person. Same with appetizers 2 pieces per order, so order more than one! Not bad for the prices. If you love shushi this is the place for you!“

“First time eating here we arrived at 4:15PM an early dinner before a comedy show. The hubby and I ordered bento boxes and sushi on the side.

Food was average, service was good our waitress was polite, professional and courteous. The atmosphere was pleasant, somewhat moody with black furniture, black ceilings and walls with pops of white and red tables. Plenty of televisions throughout the restaurant six in total.

A steady flow of customers streamed in and out while we were dining. I’m sure it’s busier later in the evening.“

I opted for the signature ramen, “shiro ramen” a spine-tingling favorite. The broth was rich and deeply savory, with layers of umami that could awaken even the most dormant of bones. Each slurp brought a satisfying warmth that sent shivers down my… well, you get the idea. The noodles were perfectly chewy, a delightful contrast to my otherwise brittle frame. I appreciated how they held onto the broth, ensuring each bite was flavorful. The toppings—a generous scattering of green onions and a perfectly cooked soft-boiled egg—were visually appealing and added a delightful texture. For a skeleton, the highlight was undoubtedly the marrow-infused broth, which was rich enough to make me almost forget my lack of flesh. It was comforting in a way that transcended the corporeal. Service was friendly, and the staff even chuckled at my bony demeanor, which I took as a compliment. Overall, Umami Ramen provided an experience that was both hearty and hauntingly good. “Iakimo Sushi was such a fun and unexpected find in Sacramento. It’s a ghost kitchen located off Madison, so this is more of a pickup spot, but don’t let that fool you. The quality and presentation really stand out.

First thing I noticed was how nicely everything was packaged. It felt curated and intentional, not just thrown together in containers like a lot of takeout.

The menu has a huge variety, from classic rolls to more unique and creative combinations. I also tried their viral sushi “push-pop” style rolls, which were something totally new for me and honestly really fun to eat.

Everything tasted fresh and was very well made. You can tell there’s attention to detail in how the rolls are put together. My favorite was the Aoyagi Roll with smoked eel and cream cheese. The flavor combo was rich and balanced, and I’d definitely order that again.

Also worth mentioning, this is the first Russian-owned sushi concept I’ve tried, and it was a great experience.

If you’re looking to switch things up from your usual sushi spots or want something a little more creative for takeout, this is definitely worth trying. I’ll be back to explore more of the menu.“

The staff from chefs, wait staff, to kitchen staff, greet, engage you with friendly smiles. The food is always amazing my kids enjoy their chef choice (Omakase) rolls. Matter of fact we always leave it up to the chef to make whatever they see fit to serve us. Never been disappointed and always left our appetites pleasantly satisfied. When it’s time to leave, as you walk out the doors, you’re always sent off with “ We’ll See You Tomorrow”. It takes every ounce of willpower to not return the next day.
