“Amazing quality for such a good price!!!

Came in late Sunday where they had all day happy hour specials. They did have quite a few empty tables but all of them happened to have dirty dishes on them so I did have to wait a little before being seated (10 mins or so). They might have been short staffed this day especially an hour before closing.

Sat at the sushi bar and one of the sushi chefs took my order promptly. The staff here are so sweet (chef and floor waiter) and the rolls were outstanding. Fish was fresh, tempura was crunchy, presentation was beautiful and portions were generous (even with the side ginger!). I’ll be dreaming about these rolls until the next time I’ll be in the area. Even with the wait I was in and out of there within 40 minutes. Definitely worth the stop!“

The food is ready in 10 minutes, or you can call-in an order. I always order the beef teriyaki or the spicy pork cooked well done for a bit of char, which includes a small side salad and Korean-style bean sprouts. The sushi is SENSATIONAL and my sushi chef friend recommended ordering fast-swimming fish. A good roll is the Volcano because it's made of Crab, Avocado, Cucumber Salmon, Spicy Tuna w/Sauce. Cucumber adds a crunchy texture to every roll.“

“We had dinner here on Saturday night. The restaurant was busy but we were seated right away. The chef and staffs were very friendly and chatted with us. Lots of customers seem to be regulars as they were warmly greeted. We've been here several times for the food and the warm service.

- California roll: good roll
- Tempura roll: the shrimp tempura was crunchy and delicious
- Sushi special: the nigiri was fresh. The ninja roll was delicious and the creamy sauce fit the dish perfectly! The spicy roll was good too (had a bit of kick and tasted fresh)

“We had a large party and this was our first visit to pier 50. Fina was our server and did such an amazing job. We really did have an amazing experience and she was so kind and patient. “Nara Sushi is a spacious Japanese restaurant in Folsom offering sushi, bento boxes, and other traditional dishes. During our visit for a late lunch, we were seated immediately and found the restaurant comfortable and easygoing. The dining room includes tables, booths, counter seating, and tablets at each table for electronic ordering.

We started with hot sake and gyoza before moving on to our main dishes. Our group ordered a nigiri and tempura bento box, a salmon teriyaki bento box, and a Spicy Yellowtail Roll. Everything was well prepared, portions were good, and everyone enjoyed their meal.

“Gift card scam. Mikunis implemented a new protocol in 2022. Any gift cards that were purchased before a certain (unknown) date, and now utilized, will be zeroed out. Back story: I attempted to use a gift card today (April 2023) and was informed it had a zero balance. The server kept my card. I had a gut feeling, asked for the card back. I spoke to the manager about how I could have a zero balance when I had never used it. The manager informed me that corporate zeroed out all gift cards that weren’t used. In order for me to get my money on the gift card, I have to call corporate headquarters and “request” an inquiry; which I did to no avail. It’s not about “expired” gift cards. It’s about not informing consumers ahead of a new rule that gift cards be zeroed out before a certain date. I’ve used 10 year old gift cards at other restaurants without any problem. Biggest scam ever.“

“Such a great dining experience. When Xfinity went out, I decided to visit the restaurant — best decision I’ve made all week. The new management team has really elevated things. Alexander and Bennette were amazing, guiding me through the new Japanese dishes and giving spot‑on suggestions for adult Japanese drinks. “All you eat shushi buffet, order abd they’ll make fresh and can also order from the menu as well. Prices vary from lunch to dinner was $27, plus drinks and takeout box was $6 time a tiny box that only fits 8 shushi. Order digitally from the table. This place is always packed, arrive early. Ice cream is one scoop per bowl, so order two for each person. Same with appetizers 2 pieces per order, so order more than one! Not bad for the prices. If you love shushi this is the place for you!“

“First time eating here we arrived at 4:15PM an early dinner before a comedy show. The hubby and I ordered bento boxes and sushi on the side.

Food was average, service was good our waitress was polite, professional and courteous. The atmosphere was pleasant, somewhat moody with black furniture, black ceilings and walls with pops of white and red tables. Plenty of televisions throughout the restaurant six in total.

A steady flow of customers streamed in and out while we were dining. I’m sure it’s busier later in the evening.“

“We love this place. Much attention is given to presentation and the food is excellent. This time we tried the Black Cod Steak. Cooked perfectly in a lovely sauce on top of asparagus.
Their starters are also very good. In addition to the Sonomono we tried the breaded fried Oysters that came with a creamy crab dipping sauce. Again, excellent. If you are adventurous or just love trying new tasty foods you will love this place. It is small and you will want to get there early, if you don’t want to wait.“

“Love this place. We just moved to the area and happened to try it. The food is great with all the regular rolls and great specialty ones! The service is quick, kind and always accommodating. We go about twice a month. And it's nice to have the same server, and a place that can be a 30 minute dinner or an hour and a half. Food is fresh and location is quiet with great parking.“

“Price was the only downside. That said, it was awesome! We went for a birthday dinner, the kids loved it! The conveyor belt of sushi was cool, you took only what you wanted. There was a special plate chute that triggered a toy dispenser after so many plates, and gave out neat little keychains. The kids really enjoyed the whole experience, including the drink serving robot.“
