“The AYCE sushi at Raku Sushi is one of the best in the greater Sacramento area with a reasonable price.I have lunch or dinner here many times, and they never let me down. The food is delicious and the service is excellent.I love their sushi and the salads are excellent too. Don’t forget about the salads at the salad bar. It is self-serve for the salad bar items.Parking: Free parking lot with ADA parking availableWheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is wheelchair friendly.“
“The meaning of teriyaki is, the teri means "glaze" and yaki "to cook or grill". The food arrived hot and fast. It's a blend of soy, sugar, ginger and juices brushed on grilled chicken or beef. The combination plate has a little bit of everything with rice, a small salad and thick noodles. The teriyaki sauce is delicious, it wasn't too sweet. The customer service was short and to the point. I would recommend the employees engage with their customers and ask if they have any questions. It's not a great date spot since it's in an odd location off the freeway. It is the perfect spot to get your teriyaki and sushi fix. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY“
“Once again stepped out for my daughter’ss 28Th birthday and the service at this place is incredible!! Our server never made us wait was very helpful knowledgeable and gave great recommendations for our dining options. The atmosphere was amazing drinks and food was delicious ?“
“Fresh sushi with good quality ingredients. I got take out from here, so I can't say much about the service but the packaging of the food was beautiful. The presentation definitely shows the care they put into their food! We got two rolls and the chirashi. The fish tasted very fresh and good quality which is hard to find in Sac. The rolls were very good as well, though I can't say they wowed me. Overall, I think the quality of the fish is great but you are paying for it with the prices.“
“I've been here a couple times and in short....its well above solid. Food is tasty and innovative. The chefs are full of personality and conversation. Many items on the menu have "seasonal veggies" so you do take a roll of the dice on some. But when I got a vegetable I'm not too keen on, it was still a tasty addition to the flavor profile. I'll definitely be back more!“
“Excellent sushi. The sushi chef had 10 years of experience. You will not be disappointed. The floor is a bit sticky when you walk over it and the outside of the sushi display glass could be cleaned. Tried the Phoenix roll and the Crispy Crab roll.“
“small sushi spot in sacramento specializing in hand rolls. focused menu highlights the fish quality and pleased with the 4 roll set. not a lot of seating so come early or be prepared to wait.4 hand roll set: salmon and tuna were favorites, high quality fish! yellowtail was ok“
“We felt oddly welcomed by chef Hieu and his team. The ambiance was pleasant throughout our 2h stay and continuous chats.Food was not only delicious, but every piece was presented with a certain admiration towards the life of the animal - it was different, and they knew it.To whoever decides to visit: sit at the bar; interact with the fellas preparing your meal. Ask about them, interact with the environment. They did not present food, they presented an experience.Bathroom was impeccably clean and prices were moderate. Totally worthy.Should be given a chance of visiting the capital again, I'll surely stop by for another pleasant experience.Dietary restrictions: The chef accommodated our dietary restrictions, despite the note on the menu. Every item was presented and explained to ensure a tranquil meal“
“Fast service, nice experience for a date or with friends, adult friendly. I wouldn't recommend bringing kids, but teens are okay. The food is a bit pricey but makes it up with the freshness and great tasteVegetarian options: The menu lets you know what is included in the sushi and lets you know if it's Vegetarian approved.“
“Small, cozy spot with bar seating for some good Ramen Soup- broth was rich and flavorful so much so the noodles were flavorful. Delicious. I'll definitely be back for the Ramen Soup. Gyoza and Sushi was decent. We got there just in time before it got super busy with a small wait time.Downer: Parking - is difficult and tight.“
“I had the tempura lunch special and and Unagi roll. The staff was incredibly nice. It was my first time in, and seeing the koi pond still there was amazing. The tempura was perfect, with the pumpkin being amazing. The rolls were fun and not too sweet, which made me happy. Probably the best lunch place in midtown.Parking: Limited parking. If you have shopping to do I'd pop by the Natural Foods Co-op and then walk to Koi to pick up a take out order after you shop.“
“The food is delicious. Even the simple meals are packed with great flavor. The miso soup is the best I've ever had. The staff is friendly and quick. Everything is priced very well for portions and flavor. I've been there twice now and both experiences have been exceptional. It is my new favorite spot. Would recommend making a reservation. If you don't and hve to wait it's worth it.“
“I’ve been coming here for 2 years . Every single time I’ve had great service and fresh food . They have delicious built your own poke bowl and sushi. The owner always asked my feedback and really cares what customers think of food freshness or if anything has changed. I’m ? satisfied with this place!Vegetarian options: I’ve tried their vegetarian bowl and it’s delicious. Toppings options are plenty to choose : tofu, cucumbers, greens, zucchini, etc.Parking: There’s a lot of small business so the parking gets full but there’s space to park towards the back.“
“Mikuni is a sushi lover's paradise! With its creative and flavorful rolls, fresh sashimi, and vibrant atmosphere, every visit is a culinary adventure. The menu offers a wide variety of options to satisfy all tastes, and the skilled chefs always impress with their attention to detail. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or new to Japanese cuisine, Mikuni is a must-visit destination for an unforgettable dining experience.“
“Decent food, tried the dinner for two for $55. It's a good price for the amount of food (appetizer+3items+dessert). I enjoyed the hot miso soup with the soft, smooth tofu also the mochi ice cream dessert. Good service. One minus is the restaurant itself doesn't seem to be very clean. The ground, corner of walls, and restroom are not clean.“
“Phenomenal food and wonderful service. I appreciate how clean and serene everything was kept. Thank you, my family and I will return.I ordered the Paris sashimi and got quality delicious fish. My husband ordered the bento chicken teriyaki box. He said it was some of the most tender and well prepared chicken he's received in a bento box.Dietary restrictions: Keto diet“
“First time here and the food was amazing. I got the Bay Island Roll and Green Goddess did not disappoint, I actually had a really hard time choosing which roll I wanted to be my last bite. My dad got the Bento Box with Chicken and Salmon Teriyaki with CA roll and was beyond happy. We are leaving here full and happy. Will absolutely be back.“
“This was my first time here. I tend to shy away from restaurants with cutsie names and upscale restaurants with Cafe in the name. This place is outstanding, all around. Had oysters on the half shell. Not the gigantic Pacific oysters. They were petite, briny, and firm, and the sauce was delicious. On the specials board, they had giant squid. It has been years, so I ordered it as well. Beautiful! I'll be back, often.“
“I like this place a lot. Quality food, good flavor, kind staff. It’s not a fancy restaurant but I really appreciate its existence. Prices reasonable. Some of the food can take a while but service is good. Haven’t had a bad meal in the ten years I have eaten here. The menu is pretty large. Take out is great, too.“
“Downtown's Japanese culinary haven exceeded all expectations, leaving us with a heartwarming sense of being part of a food-loving family. From the moment we entered, the attentive staff enveloped us in genuine warmth, making each interaction feel like a reunion with old friends. The service was nothing short of phenomenal – every detail executed with care and enthusiasm. The culinary journey unfolded with impeccably fresh sashimi, a testament to the chef's commitment to quality. Each delicate slice melted in our mouths, showcasing a mastery of flavor. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was an absolute delight, an explosion of heavenly tastes that lingered on our palates, urging us to savor every bite. This Japanese gem not only offers excellent food but also creates an atmosphere where passion for culinary artistry and genuine hospitality collide. A must-visit for those seeking an unforgettable dining experience where every dish feels like a symphony of flavors and every guest is embraced like family.Vegetarian options: Stuffed Mushrooms were too die for!!“
“Went there with my sister for lunch. It wasn’t bad just we asked for a straw multiple times lol finally got one after we were already about to leave. The sushi was good but it kept falling apart when you tried to pick it up with chopsticks .Wasn’t bad but could’ve been better. They had boba there also so that was a plus.“
“Everything was great! We just had a family dinner with our two small kids (1 and 2yo) and we all went home really happy! I had the sesame chicken plate and it was outstanding! Some of the best I’ve had. Really crispy and fresh with really tender chicken. The kids had the sesame chicken as well and they really enjoyed it. The booth seating was great for all of us. The service was great as well. Everyone was really friendly. There are not a lot of great food options in our area so we were really happy that this place lived up to all the hype!“
“This restaurant is always great with service, Japanese cuisine and it's casual atmosphere. The sashimi cuts were fresh and high grade fish, sushi was seasoned perfectly and my Tempura was perfectly crunchy. I didn't leave anything on my bento box! We were a party of 9 and were spoiled with great service. Parking is really easy and free. I hope to return soon.“
“Menu and quality keep getting better.Music is inconsistent—sometimes too loud; sometimes seems designed for lovesick teen girls and out of touch with paying client base…Can be irritating and hard to talk with your dinner companions or even hear yourself think.“
“The sashimi was fresh and the rolls were delicious and packed with ingredients. The tempura that came with the Nabeyaki Udon was thinly battered, which I enjoyed, but the broth was bland and didn't look too appetizing. The staff was attentive and quick to react.“
“Love this place, from the service to the food and always music on for an upbeat vibe I have not had a bad meal here. The sushi is always fresh and prepared perfectly, the soups and specials are on point and plates like the shortrib dinner do not disappoint at all.“
“I noticed this place as I started a new job near by. So on one of my lunches I came over to try it out and see what the mixed reviews are all about. I got a Double Cheeseburger with Fries and a Chai Latte for only $15. The burger was huge but was not lacking flavor at all, the fries were perfectly crispy on the outside while soft on the inside, and the Chai Latte was also great. They also have a espresso machine, the Mocha is very good. If you want a good classic American cheeseburger with fries or a bento box with sushi then I recommend this place. It’s nothing gourmet but it’s great for the low price. 4.7/5.“
“We ordered 45 minutes before they closed, and my husband promptly fell asleep. He arrived 5 minutes before they closed, and the food was still so hot I had to wait for it to cool off. A ton of food for the price, I got Udon and he got chicken curry. Very delicious stuff, super friendly staff.“
“Our go to sushi place and no one makes the stuffed jalapeños like they do. Can't get enough of Arigato's.Love the nigiri, sashimi, maki rolls and deep fried rolls. The baked salmon roll (lion?) is to die for, baked green mussels, best tasting miso around. If your feeling frisky get a sake bomb and my personal choice for beer is Asahi. Love the hot tea and spicy edamame too!If you prefer cooked foods they have all kinds of bento type dinners as well, anything in tempura you'll never be sorry.Been a huge fan and customer many years but this is my first review!Arigato's is affordable and the taste is high end. Expect to be deliciously happy!“
“Always a great experience! Whether it's just me and my husband or the whole family, we always enjoy our meal at Oshima Sushi. Nice bar and dining areas. Love the music and sports atmosphere. Great food! We love the sushi boat options, sushi rolls, fresh oysters, and drinks. Good service too! Nice birthday dessert!!!“
“Came here on a dinner date with my husband. We were seated right away. Our server came over to take our drink orders. I wasn't sure what drinks they made but they had a full bar. I ended up getting a soda. Anyways. We order 2 rolls to sure and two appetizers. Our rolls came out first. And our appetizer came out last. The rolls were delicious and the fish was really fresh. Both rolls had its unique taste. The appetizers were super hot and we had to wait a little before eating. But they're both delicious over all. This place seems to have a good ambiance. I can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu.“
“Forgot to take photos of the food but definitely recommend for everyone and anyone to try this place even just once! Sushi was fresh and delicious. Service was great and fast too. We went on a weekend and it wasn't too busy. Our favorites are the Dragon Roll, Lion King Roll, 49er, Azukar Roll, Volcano Roll, and the Midtown Roll. Try their Hamachi Nigiri Sushi as well! Come hungry, leave happy ?“
“This is one of our favorite go to places for authentic Japanese food! We come here to celebrate birthdays and most recently a graduation. It's a great place for a date for two or even large parties since they have a large room in the back. The quality of their food and service is top notch. Our family has frequented Akebono since they opened and have never been disappointed.“
“Finally had a chance to eat at Miyagi Bar and Sushi. It was spectacular, let me tell you about it! Dropped in around 7:30pm with my lady. We were quickly seated at a table. The decor consisted of colorful paintings and soft lighting. The restaurant was full of people, families and couples alike. We were seated near the sushi bar which was away from the alcohol bar which had a lively crowd. There were TV's all over the place which had the sports games on. There were plenty of waiters and waitresses who were attentive and really nice and showed us around the menu. We chose to start off with stuffed mushrooms and gyoza. While I've had better gyoza I won't lie and say we didn't finish it all, lol. The real highlight of our entire meal was the crab stuffed mushrooms. My lady said they tasted like heaven and she wasn't exaggerating! The crab was so tasty, the sauce that topped these had a small kick to it and added to the overall flavor without overpowering it. Each bite had a perfect crunch thanks to the breading followed by the soft fresh mushrooms. I can tell you now we will be back solely for these. The main course arrived some time after completing our appetizers. Food service here was a bit slowed but it was expected since the restaurant was nearly at capacity. The quality of the food kept us patient. We split the crunchy roll and also the katsu chicken dinner. Both were amazing and although we loved it we kept saying how silly it was we waited so long to finally try Miyagi given how long it's been around and how amazing all the dishes were lol. I absolutely loved the crunchiness of the panko breading on the juicy katsu chicken and the sauce paired really well with the meat. The broccoli tossed with the onions brought out a nice flavor we weren't used to considering broccoli is one of our favorite sides at home. The crunchy roll was huge! The fried shrimp was so tasty. I would order it again but I'm also excited to try more rolls such as the Drake and the Torch roll recommended to us by our waiter. The menu here is deep and diverse, I definitely see more visits in the future. They also mentioned they show all the Sacramento King's games on their TV's! I love that.“
“We had the best time here! Amazing service and excellent food & drinks. My sis and I went here for a late lunch and it turned into two hours of great conversation and drinks! It may look small from the outside but the sushi is fresh, the ramen is delicious and the drinks are in point! We will be “
“Exactly what I wanted from an authentic ramen, sushi restaurant. Quaint, delicious, straightforward Japanese dining. The shoyu ramen was absolutely delicious.Parking: I parked in the street for free.Wheelchair accessibility: Single level store with sidewalk access.“
“From my order Sushi rolls and pieces by themselves all came out in a timely manner and tasted clean/fresh. Service was exceptional. Hibachi steak and Short Ribs were pretty incredible. Also the 15% surge charge for wasted food only applies to RAW FISH ITEMS ONLY!!!!! Other than that it's a good time with good food.“
“Very fun experience. You get to try a little bit of a lot of things. Quality and flavor of sushi isn't as high as some other places, but it us decent. A lot of the rolls are colder than expected to help keep them fresh. Make sure to order drinks even if it's just water so you can have the robot come to you. There is very little human interaction as any orders can be made on the tablet. There is a call button though if you need to talk to someone.Kid-friendliness: Great place to bring kids. They will enjoy the interactive ordering and prized when you reach 15 plates.“
“My first time there, it's a cozy comfort food dine in OT take out sushimi/k-BBQ style foods and great service from the gate. It's definitely more of a noon, dinner and nightly ears place. It's pretty reasonable prices for some trendy Asian combo platter.“
“Great place for lunch, the tea was wonderful, but I did find the teriyaki a little too salty for my taste. I really enjoyed the gyoza; they were very tender and had a lovely, delicate flavor. The birthday girl loved the whole experience, including her stuffed jalapeños and ramen, and that's the most important part.Parking: Lots of spaces available and easy to maneuver through the lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space for a standard wheelchair.“
“I had the best time at Oishii with my friends for her 35th birthday. The service was top tier and the sushi was all the buzz. We ordered the pink lady roll ? the salmon dynamite roll deep fried after our server suggested it and it was delicious but if you like a little spice with a bit of torch definitely order the scorpion roll. 10/10 recommend and we will be coming back for a holiday party in two weeks!!“
“Food was tasty and their display was nice and their food was warm. The cooks brought out the food on time as well. Place was nice and clean. The atmosphere was okay because the location still in the Hood. But I will return because the food is awesome and affordable.“
“Great food at reasonable prices with good service! I love that Asians are working here as it is sushi! I will be back with friends!!Parking: Christmas time parking lot was full but if you are patient you will find a good spot or if you don't mind walking a bit, good exercise to work up an appetite or to walk off all the good sushi you will eat!!“
“Went for lunch and staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We ordered the beef spare rib rice bowl and teriyaki chicken rice bowl. Both were great and huge servings, the pickled ginger and cucumber was a great compliment to the sauces on the meat and rice. The chili oil was the added heat I love and went well with the beef. 10/10 will come back again when I'm in the area.“
“Ok so we stopped to eat here based on hangry desperation and it was close to our house. I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied by the food and the generosity of the chef and owner? I'm not sure but our food was delicious and hot. I ordered the sesame chicken and the hubs tried the spicy chicken. Both were fried and served with rice and salad. We were also lucky enough to be given small portions of the regular chicken, honey spicy chicken and the original teriyaki. All were super delicious. Definitely ordering again!!“
“When I lived in Sac, you could find me here every weekend without fail. Aside from the fish being super fresh and delicious, the staff and sushi chefs are seriously what made me come back. They make you feel right at home and the service is super quick!! I usually get the chef’s 7 pc nigiri and a couple of orders of seared salmon belly with tuna hand rolls. You really can’t go wrong with any of the menu rolls either. I recently visited the midtown location and it’s the same great fish and staff! There really isn’t a sushi place in town that I recommend more than Wedashii! Love the food and love the people. Will always stop by when I’m in town!“
“The negative is purely based on previous experience at this same place. This used to be much more entertaining. Shrimp toss, onion volcano, saki shot from squirt bottle, egg and spatula tricks. None of that exists here now and it's a shame they don't value that entertainment factor anymore. Food is still tasty except the sashimi. Service is friendly and responsive and really doesn't deserve less than 4 stars...just bring back the entertainment and I'd gladly bring my family back.“
“Website was broken, but decided to go in to order take out and try the place out for the first time. Very impressed. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Placed an order and was ready really quickly. Freshness and flavors were top tier. Will definitely be going back.“
