“Got the super star roll, hand roll, and mix tempura. Sushi was very good, especially the hand rolls. The sushi rolls had a perfect rice mix ratio and it was delicious. The mix tempura was just ok. Tempura batter was kinda thick, hard, and too crunchy, hence the 4 stars. At the moment, Chef Frank is probably my favorite sushi spot.“

“This place has all you can eat sushi which pretty much tells you everything you need to know about it haha. But they have a lot more than just sushi! They also have cooked foods, appetizers, soups, and all sorts of interesting dishes. And to top it all off, they have a full bar with lots of unique and very affordable drink options! The service is pretty fast and the fish is actually pretty good for all you can eat. I'd definitely consider coming back again sometime!“

The server gave our toddler activities and our favorite part was sitting where we can see the sushi chefs work their skills behind the bar. Definitely try the specials!! “Gift card scam. Mikunis implemented a new protocol in 2022. Any gift cards that were purchased before a certain (unknown) date, and now utilized, will be zeroed out. Back story: I attempted to use a gift card today (April 2023) and was informed it had a zero balance. The server kept my card. I had a gut feeling, asked for the card back. I spoke to the manager about how I could have a zero balance when I had never used it. The manager informed me that corporate zeroed out all gift cards that weren’t used. In order for me to get my money on the gift card, I have to call corporate headquarters and “request” an inquiry; which I did to no avail. It’s not about “expired” gift cards. It’s about not informing consumers ahead of a new rule that gift cards be zeroed out before a certain date. I’ve used 10 year old gift cards at other restaurants without any problem. Biggest scam ever.“

“This is my favorite restaurant in Sacramento without question. I moved to the area about three years ago now, and it quickly became my go-to comfort food. Even when the pandemic started and the restaurant shifted to takeout-only, the food remained consistently excellent. I also want to say 'thank you' to the couple that runs the restaurant as well. They're both very kind and treat their customers well. P.S. I heartily recommend the house-made Thai iced tea.“

“In my opinion, Azukar Sushi is the best all-you-can-eat, made-to-order sushi restaurant in the Sacramento area! There are so many options to choose from, with an incredible variety of sushi rolls and other dishes.

The fish is incredibly fresh, soft, and flavorful. Beyond the sushi, they also have tasty carpaccio, poke tuna, salads, and more. The tempura is nice and crispy, and you definitely have to save room for dessert—the fried banana and donuts are delicious!

The restaurant is spacious and, even on busier days, the service is impressively quick. With the huge selection, fresh ingredients, generous variety, and great service, Azukar Sushi is definitely one of my favorite spots for all-you-can-eat sushi. Highly recommended!“

“The food was amazing here! We ran in here trying to grab something before the show at the Imax. We told them we needed to be out fast and they were great and made it happen. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wasn't expecting the food to be much but was surprised. It is top quality food and at cheaper pricing than you can get elsewhere for sushi. And rolls were a nice, generous size.“

“Ate in and the food was decent. Got a to go order for my family member and it has zero sauce and was obviously rushed and thrown together lazily. The to-go should at least resemble the dine in food. The exact same roll ended up looking like crap and had no sauce at all. What a bummer..when you pay a premium for sushi you should get decent sushi. This was crap and I can't believe they served it to us after we had just spent a bunch of money eating in. We won't be back. If getting to go, check your food. They do not care about the customer and will sneak awful rolls into your bag without care.“

“I liked the poke bowl, the poke itself. The veggies tended to be the harder ones (kale, arugula) and naturally those are harder to eat. Still, the overall bowl was good.

The only complaint has nothing to do with the food, service, but the overall area. What's up with no restrooms anywhere in sight?“

“The absolute freshest authentic amazingly delightful sushi tacos I've ever had. Wings were perfect juicy with right amount of crisp and sauce. The passion fruit tea was soooo delicious. Can't wait to come back and try the Ramen. Recommend 10/10“

“Absolutely the best sushi in Sacramento. I discovered them on a date, we decided sushi on a whim when the raman place several blocks into mid town was closed. It was during the transition of new ownership before their official re-grand opening. They had for the first time cut their dry aged tuna sashimi. My girlfriend and I had just finished and we're about to pay when the owners stopped us for a sampling after we had just finished one of the best sushi meals we have ever had.

The dry aged sashimi was the icing on the cake, it had a clean and buttery flavor. The fish melted in our mouths and was unlike anything we had ever had before. Since then we have gone back several times and it has become our favorite restaurant.

The spicy edamame is also the best I have ever eaten, the other dry aged options available are also just as amazing.

I highly recommend ordering the real hand grated wasabi and skipping the stuff from the tube. If you order the dry age, it comes with a serving that for us was able to be used across 2 rolls.

The presentation of the food also met every expectation I could have had entering the restaurant.“

“The staff are very friendly and professional. The food is delicious. I’ve never been unsatisfied with a dish I’ve ordered here, and we probably go once a month. The Lion King roll and Crazy Roll are personal favorites. The agedashi tofu and bbq albacore are also quite good! The restaurant doesn’t have the biggest footprint so it can get busy and a little loud during peak dinner hours. However, if you’re going for lunch or early dinner then it’s a very nice and relaxing place to be.“
