“The service was attentive but we felt rushed. I was trying to enjoy my food but the server was hovering and would snatch our plates as soon as they were empty. She almost snatch one dish which still had food on it. I'm not a slow eater but I want to enjoy my food.“

“Sushi Elite was recommended to us, and it did not disappoint! We walked right in at lunch time mid week, sat at the bar and enjoyed conversation with the chef, and devoured some of the most delicious sushi we’ve ever had. The rolls are packed with fresh ingredients, interesting flavors, and are beautifully presented. The rolls we had were so good we did not want to alter the flavor with soy sauce or other additives: Tokyo Garden roll, Cherry Blossom roll, & Lion King roll. The only thing that left any negative impression was the initial smell when we entered, and I’m not sure what exactly it was from but don’t be put off. The meal is worth it!“

“Gift card scam. Mikunis implemented a new protocol in 2022. Any gift cards that were purchased before a certain (unknown) date, and now utilized, will be zeroed out. Back story: I attempted to use a gift card today (April 2023) and was informed it had a zero balance. The server kept my card. I had a gut feeling, asked for the card back. I spoke to the manager about how I could have a zero balance when I had never used it. The manager informed me that corporate zeroed out all gift cards that weren’t used. In order for me to get my money on the gift card, I have to call corporate headquarters and “request” an inquiry; which I did to no avail. It’s not about “expired” gift cards. It’s about not informing consumers ahead of a new rule that gift cards be zeroed out before a certain date. I’ve used 10 year old gift cards at other restaurants without any problem. Biggest scam ever.“

“Just finished lunch. Absolutely excellent. We started with the Mixed Tempura and the Pork Gyoza. My wife had the Chubby Andy roll and I had the Katsudon. The mixed tempura was perfect. The sweet potato and the kabocha are always the test and these were tender without being too soft. The gyoza were delicious. The Chubby Andy is a great roll. Huge flavor with a fantastic sauce. The Katsudon was first rate. This is the best Katsudon in Sacramento.

I understand you can’t make everyone happy, but am surprised the reviews are not higher. “All you eat shushi buffet, order abd they’ll make fresh and can also order from the menu as well. Prices vary from lunch to dinner was $27, plus drinks and takeout box was $6 time a tiny box that only fits 8 shushi. Order digitally from the table. This place is always packed, arrive early. Ice cream is one scoop per bowl, so order two for each person. Same with appetizers 2 pieces per order, so order more than one! Not bad for the prices. If you love shushi this is the place for you!“

“This is a hidden gem found by chance. While I was initially apprehensive about trying a new place, my concerns were delightfully overcome when I tasted the Philly roll! “First time eating here we arrived at 4:15PM an early dinner before a comedy show. The hubby and I ordered bento boxes and sushi on the side.

Food was average, service was good our waitress was polite, professional and courteous. The atmosphere was pleasant, somewhat moody with black furniture, black ceilings and walls with pops of white and red tables. Plenty of televisions throughout the restaurant six in total.

A steady flow of customers streamed in and out while we were dining. I’m sure it’s busier later in the evening.“

“Ate in and the food was decent. Got a to go order for my family member and it has zero sauce and was obviously rushed and thrown together lazily. The to-go should at least resemble the dine in food. The exact same roll ended up looking like crap and had no sauce at all. What a bummer..when you pay a premium for sushi you should get decent sushi. This was crap and I can't believe they served it to us after we had just spent a bunch of money eating in. We won't be back. If getting to go, check your food. They do not care about the customer and will sneak awful rolls into your bag without care.“

“Iakimo Sushi was such a fun and unexpected find in Sacramento. It’s a ghost kitchen located off Madison, so this is more of a pickup spot, but don’t let that fool you. The quality and presentation really stand out.

First thing I noticed was how nicely everything was packaged. It felt curated and intentional, not just thrown together in containers like a lot of takeout.

The menu has a huge variety, from classic rolls to more unique and creative combinations. I also tried their viral sushi “push-pop” style rolls, which were something totally new for me and honestly really fun to eat.

Everything tasted fresh and was very well made. You can tell there’s attention to detail in how the rolls are put together. My favorite was the Aoyagi Roll with smoked eel and cream cheese. The flavor combo was rich and balanced, and I’d definitely order that again.

Also worth mentioning, this is the first Russian-owned sushi concept I’ve tried, and it was a great experience.

If you’re looking to switch things up from your usual sushi spots or want something a little more creative for takeout, this is definitely worth trying. I’ll be back to explore more of the menu.“

“Great service overall, came in for dinner and was pleased with the service, inside was very nicely decorated. Fish quality was good too, loved the nigiri. They are a little heavy on the rice. The desserts, while there are only three options, were really good. Nice new spot to come by, with definitely be back.“

“I got a sushi roll and teriyaki chicken which were both delicious. The roll was a little small but the teriyaki chicken serving was hearty. The restaurant is clean and the staff was kind. My meal was ready for pick up within 15 minutes . I'll be back😊“

“Got a bento box and it was pretty good overall. The only downside was that the beef and a few other items cost an extra $2, which normally wouldn’t be a big deal but the portion sizes were pretty small. On top of that, the beef I ordered was under seasoned and overcooked, and honestly didn’t feel like anything special to justify the upcharge.

Also no drink refills, which was a bit disappointing.

That being said, the place itself is nice the food quality is good, and the atmosphere is great. Just felt a little pricey for what you get.“

“Came Friday dinner, around 7pm, busy, ~80% full, took ~40mins for the food to start trickle in. The deep fried gyoza were not hot when came out. Surprisingly were only warm. Tried bento box 2 items: sashimi and teriyaki beef. I enjoyed the salad more than expected. Love the house sauce. Teriyaki beef and sashimi were decent. My husband ordered a roll, can't remember the name now, it's decent as well.“

“Stopped at this place cause we were looking for Bento boxes. lol. I didn't read the menu prior to stopping. We contemplated leaving cause we weren't sure about the items on the menu. I am happy to report we enjoyed our meal.

Here's what we ordered:

1. Wakame
2. Taco Sake
3. Katsu Don

The taco sake was yummy. The sauce on the taco gave poke vibes but wrapped up in crunchy seaweed that stayed together nicely after each bite. The katsu loss a little of the signature crunch after being covered by all the yummies in the bowl but overall good. Maybe change the plating to layer the chicken on top so it doesn't turn soggy.

“This is my favorite restaurant in Sacramento without question. I moved to the area about three years ago now, and it quickly became my go-to comfort food. “We love this place. Much attention is given to presentation and the food is excellent. This time we tried the Black Cod Steak. Cooked perfectly in a lovely sauce on top of asparagus.
Their starters are also very good. In addition to the Sonomono we tried the breaded fried Oysters that came with a creamy crab dipping sauce. Again, excellent. If you are adventurous or just love trying new tasty foods you will love this place. It is small and you will want to get there early, if you don’t want to wait.“
