“We had dinner here on Saturday night. The restaurant was busy but we were seated right away. The chef and staffs were very friendly and chatted with us. Lots of customers seem to be regulars as they were warmly greeted. We've been here several times for the food and the warm service.

- Sushi special: the nigiri was fresh. The ninja roll was delicious and the creamy sauce fit the dish perfectly! The spicy roll was good too (had a bit of kick and tasted fresh)

“It's Sushi has easily become one of my go-to AYCE sushi restaurants. The quality of their seafood is outstanding and far exceeds what you would come to expect of an AYCE establishment. The menu is quite extensive and has different options of cooked and raw sushi as well as multiple dishes from the kitchen. The location is quite small so if you're going with a big party I recommend calling ahead. The restaurant parking is quite small but is connected to a bigger shopping plaza so there is a lot of parking available. The menu is split into 3 tiers, menu A, B, and C, with three varying price points which is nice if you dont like raw sushi, you dont have to pay for the nigiri. The sushi itself really highlights the fish quality not so much the rice, the nigiri has a tiny ball of rice only so it's not as filling.“

During our visit for a late lunch, we were seated immediately and found the restaurant comfortable and easygoing. The dining room includes tables, booths, counter seating, and tablets at each table for electronic ordering.

We started with hot sake and gyoza before moving on to our main dishes. Our group ordered a nigiri and tempura bento box, a salmon teriyaki bento box, and a Spicy Yellowtail Roll. Everything was well prepared, portions were good, and everyone enjoyed their meal.

I opted for the signature ramen, “shiro ramen” a spine-tingling favorite. The broth was rich and deeply savory, with layers of umami that could awaken even the most dormant of bones. Each slurp brought a satisfying warmth that sent shivers down my… well, you get the idea. The noodles were perfectly chewy, a delightful contrast to my otherwise brittle frame. I appreciated how they held onto the broth, ensuring each bite was flavorful. The toppings—a generous scattering of green onions and a perfectly cooked soft-boiled egg—were visually appealing and added a delightful texture. For a skeleton, the highlight was undoubtedly the marrow-infused broth, which was rich enough to make me almost forget my lack of flesh. It was comforting in a way that transcended the corporeal. Service was friendly, and the staff even chuckled at my bony demeanor, which I took as a compliment. Overall, Umami Ramen provided an experience that was both hearty and hauntingly good. Right from the start, the overall atmosphere was great; the entire dining area was spotlessly clean, and the service was consistently good and welcoming.

For my meal, I decided to sample a couple of their signature sushi options. We ordered the Caterpillar roll and the Kamikaze roll. In terms of construction, both rolls suffered from a bit of an imbalance in their ingredients. The Caterpillar roll was filled mostly with cucumber, leaving only very small, sparse bits of eel inside. Similarly, the Kamikaze roll was packed with too much crunchy cucumber, which slightly overwhelmed the spicy tuna mix.

However, despite the rolls being skimped on fish and overloaded with vegetable filler, the quality of the food was still quite high. Every bite was remarkably fresh, clean, and tasty. The flavors are definitely there, and the kitchen clearly uses good components. If the chefs can balance out the ratios to include a bit more seafood and less cucumber, this place would easily earn a top rating from me.“

There's a wonderful variety of delicious fried treats on their fish and chips menu, and their sushi menu is absolutely lavish! With sushi rolls ranging from just $9 to $15, it's an incredible bargain.

We decided on the $11.99 special, and it was pure perfection! It came with one piece of fish, three potstickers (or lumpia!), three zucchini, three onion rings, and even a soda. Every bite was **crispy, light, and wonderfully fresh**. You could tell the oil was perfect—no old or reused taste at all.
