“I had been passing by this restaurant for a while, and I was genuinely excited to finally stop in and review it. Right from the moment I walked through the door, my initial impressions were highly positive because the entire dining area is exceptionally clean and well-kept. Complementing the spotless environment, the staff provides excellent service throughout the meal, remaining both attentive and welcoming from start to finish. I decided to order the Black Ramen, which turned out to be a very good bowl of food with just a few minor areas for improvement. The pork was incredibly tender, though it could have used a bit more seasoning to really elevate its flavor profile. On the other hand, the egg was executed flawlessly and cooked perfectly. While the broth is a bit thin, it remains highly flavorful. If the kitchen could develop and deepen those broth flavors just a little bit more, this dish would easily cross the line from good to excellent. Additionally, the fresh vegetables add a great, tasty element to the bowl, and the kitchen serves a very generous quantity of properly prepared noodles. Bottom line, the ramen here is very good, and it would be absolutely outstanding with a few small tweaks to the broth and meat. I had a great experience and would certainly recommend giving them a visit.“

“We had dinner here on Saturday night. The restaurant was busy but we were seated right away. The chef and staffs were very friendly and chatted with us. Lots of customers seem to be regulars as they were warmly greeted. We've been here several times for the food and the warm service.

- Sushi special: the nigiri was fresh. The ninja roll was delicious and the creamy sauce fit the dish perfectly! The spicy roll was good too (had a bit of kick and tasted fresh)

“Delicious food! We shared the Chicken teriyaki bento plate and it was so much delicious fresh food. The terriyaki sauce was my favorite I’ve ever had. The chicken has a great char and the mushrooms in the teriyaki were a welcome surprise. The tempura was airy and light and had some fun additions like oyster mushrooms and kabocha squash. We also ordered two rolls, the Lion King and the So Fine. The fish was fresh and the sauces on top were amazing. We’re looking forward to coming back again soon.“

During our visit for a late lunch, we were seated immediately and found the restaurant comfortable and easygoing. The dining room includes tables, booths, counter seating, and tablets at each table for electronic ordering.

We started with hot sake and gyoza before moving on to our main dishes. Our group ordered a nigiri and tempura bento box, a salmon teriyaki bento box, and a Spicy Yellowtail Roll. Everything was well prepared, portions were good, and everyone enjoyed their meal.

“I rarely feel compelled to write a review, but this place is a hidden gem. Roseville has plenty of excellent sushi, but sometimes a tucked away hole in the wall, with consistently great food, reasonable prices, and servers who treat you like family, is exactly what hits the spot.

It is easy to drive past without ever knowing it is there, but well worth finding. The rolls are excellent, the udon should not be missed, and there is a little treasure on the small plates menu called dragon balls. Highly recommended.“

“I recently dined at this restaurant and came away with a generally positive impression, though there is definitely room for improvement regarding their sushi portions. Right from the start, the overall atmosphere was great; the entire dining area was spotlessly clean, and the service was consistently good and welcoming.

For my meal, I decided to sample a couple of their signature sushi options. We ordered the Caterpillar roll and the Kamikaze roll. In terms of construction, both rolls suffered from a bit of an imbalance in their ingredients. The Caterpillar roll was filled mostly with cucumber, leaving only very small, sparse bits of eel inside. Similarly, the Kamikaze roll was packed with too much crunchy cucumber, which slightly overwhelmed the spicy tuna mix.

However, despite the rolls being skimped on fish and overloaded with vegetable filler, the quality of the food was still quite high. Every bite was remarkably fresh, clean, and tasty. The flavors are definitely there, and the kitchen clearly uses good components. If the chefs can balance out the ratios to include a bit more seafood and less cucumber, this place would easily earn a top rating from me.“

“Stopped in after reading the reviews and was not disappointed. Fish and chicken strips with chips (#5) was a perfect portion with 3 chicken strips and 1 pretty good sized piece of fish. The batter on the fish was light and crispy and the chicken was just the way I like it — a little bit crunchy, hot, and served with cold ranch. Another patron ordered his “usual” — the Spicy Day and Lincoln rolls, both of which looked good enough that I’ve already decided that’s what I’ll try next time I come in. Portions were perfect relative to price. The restaurant was clean, cool, and inviting. They have a nice assortment of canned and bottled beverages. Friendly staff who clearly take pride in the product and service they deliver. Definitely recommend giving them a go. I’ll be back for sure, even if it is 20 minutes away.“

“Came in tonight to celebrate my birthday with my husband and some of my in laws, we ended up ordering 2 orders of pepper fin and a order of spicy garlic edamame to start with waters just that had our waitress confused. And then I got an order of aloha deep fried and a TNT roll also and my husband ordered 2 rolls and 1 of my cousins in laws ordered 3 different things and his wife ordered a roll also and we had 4 sake bombs but I only drank the hot sake. The waitress even though she was super nice didn't seem to keep everything straight and also had a hard time keeping our table ordered straight she forgot about my iced tea for the longest time. An then they couldn't and wouldn't do anything special off my birthday even though we go there a lot and always spend a lot of money there. We got there with our group at a round 5pm tonight, I wanted to come here because of how great our service and food was last time we were in here and everything and we always spend a lot of money when we're here. We also got my cousin in laws into something new the pepper fin they had never had it before and they loved it. The restaurant was clean there was only a few tables that were full when we came in and then after we ordered our food a reservation for 8 + came in and also several other tables as well. But the big thing is that even though our waitress was super nice and everything she couldn't keep everything together and straight and we had to keep asking for things on top of it, the food we all got were good but not as good as last time but I do love the bigger pieces of pepper fin we got this time that was a huge plus for me sense it's my favorite and my husband knows it.“

“I've been visiting Mikuni locations since 1998 - I'm old enough to remember when there was a salad bar with orange jello at the Hazel Ave. location.
This new one is probably the best I've been to. The service was very professional, the food was just that little bit better that I'm used to, with some welcome touches - a tiny little swirl of Mayonnaise on my Bento box was a delight. Also the Karaage chicken was floured, rather than battered which was a novelty. Just the fact that they set out a decent amount of Sushi ginger meant that I didnt have to ask for it.
I still would have liked the complementary miso bowl but you can't have everything.
My spouse liked her Teriyaki Salmon too.
The EDH location is lovely - next time I think we'll eat outside.
