The rolls, fried rice and spicy edamame was delicious. The servers were very kind, welcoming and helpful.
Absolutely the best sushi in Sacramento. I discovered them on a date, we decided sushi on a whim when the raman place several blocks into mid town was closed. It was during the transition of new ownership before their official re-grand opening. They had for the first time cut their dry aged tuna sashimi. My girlfriend and I had just finished and we're about to pay when the owners stopped us for a sampling after we had just finished one of the best sushi meals we have ever had.

Exceptional sushi. Best rice we've had in a while. Excellent quality fish, awesome presentation and seasoning for the nigiri 10pc omakase and akami toro dan, a huge step up from most sushi restaurants. Very finished food, friendly staff, nice interior. Looking forward to trying snow crab fried rice next time.

Naoki Japanese Cuisine is an outstanding Japanese restaurant in Sacramento, considered by many to offer the best sushi in the city. The quality of fish is exceptional, featuring dry aged otoro, chutoro, and dry aged 30 day salmon and tuna. Dishes like the Hinoka roll, pepperfin, nigiri, and sashimi are consistently described as delicious, fresh, full of flavor, and absolutely superb. The tempura is noted as excellent and the best in town, and unique dishes like the Salmon Skin Salad, Dancing Mushrooms, and Seafood Nachos are favorites. The uni pass is also highlighted as off the chart.
The atmosphere is beautiful, relaxed, and chill, with a great vibe that works for a date night or dinner with friends. There is lots of seating at the sushi bar where chefs prepare the food, along with booths and tables. The staff and sushi chefs are extremely friendly, super nice, welcoming, and excellent. They are knowledgeable, happy to share their craft, and provide great service and recommendations. While very busy at times, the staff works hard to accommodate guests. On rare occasions, an order may be incorrect, but the team is always willing and ready to correct it promptly. The experience is a rare treat in the US, on the level of a high-end sushi restaurant in Tokyo, making it a spot customers plan to return to again and again.
