Salmon was well done, seaweed salad and tofu were a good start.
My daughter and I enjoy a weekly date night here. She LOVES their beef udon! I love the sushi!

Taiko Sushi is a Japanese restaurant located at 6241 Fair Oaks Blvd in Carmichael. The menu is huge, with many different appetizers and sushi rolls, and a DonBuri section that includes the proper Donburi Katsudon. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The chicken katsu is moist and good, and the sauces are very salty. A sake flight is also available and fun. The atmosphere is nice, though the shared space with another eatery can feel like a food court and be confusing upon entry. Customers often seat themselves, which is not clearly indicated. The service is one of the best, with polite, welcoming, and attentive employees who are very gracious hosts. The location has plenty of easy parking. Inside, table space is nicely spread out, and there is a sushi bar. Outdoor seating offers a nice water feature and a functioning fireplace for colder months. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 4-6pm. The restaurant is on the pricier side, but the food is good. It is a great place for take out or dine in, and has never disappointed since 2021.
