“Hey let's start with the atmosphere... It's cold at least at this time of the year and the tables, chairs, walls are dated. But then when the food comes out... MAGIC! what an incredibly delicious vegan treat for us. We ordered three different options and each equally incredible.Vegetarian options: If you're vegan or vegetarian then you owe it to yourself to try this out. I give it a 9 out of 10 on the quality and fun of this place.“

“We were excited to finally see freeze dried meals that are vegan. We found a few other companies that offered a couple of vegan options but required ordering packs of the same flavor so we would be stuck eating the same meals over and over. We gave Outdoor Herbivore a shot because of the incredible variety of vegan options and the ability to order packs of varied meals- and we were not disappointed. We've ordered the 5-Day Backpacking Meal Combo, then the 7-Day Backpacking Meal Combo and everything we've tried has tasted fantastic and we were amazed at how filling they are and how much energy they provide. “I ordered vegetable briyani. If i knew it was mostly rice, I would have ordered something else.The staff was attentive, but had a hard time understanding us. We'd eaten there before, and I made a better choice of food. It would be helpful if there were pictures of the food so you'd know what you're ordering.“

“What ? yummy Thali! And it's unlimited quantity . The servers are so kind and courteous, they check on you so many times.My husband and I love the thali, We get a very good amount of food and each dish is so flavorful, we can repeat the lentils are the items that we loved. They also give a drink with this and desert.We tried their onam Thali and it was out of the world! Even better than the Bay Area Sadia thalis I have had.Courtesy and customer service are fantastic as well.Our "to go "place for weekend brunch“

“Beach Hut is my favorite go-to spot for sandwiches. Great food, friendly people. Unfortunately, I think that they may be cutting back a bit due to rising prices? I ordered a Malibu, my favorite, which has pastrami and avocado. It didn't seem that they had as much meat in the sandwich as usual. And the bread was regular white bread (good, and toasted) rather than what they usually have, a white bread with embedded pieces of garlic. They still load it up with lots of avocado, though. Also, at this location, they need to work on the tables a bit. Several of them were wobbly, almost ready to fall down. But still great food and friendly staff.“

“I'm South Indian and this restaurant is legit authentic and amazing. And you can tell because 95% of the customers are Indian. We live in the Bay Area but always, always come here on our way to and from Tahoe. Love how the entire restaurant is vegetarian. Highlights are the chole bhatura, idli/sambar, dosa, pongal (absolutely delicious), paratha kurma, and the CHAI (so good!). My husband and kids are also a fan of the gulab jamun, although I haven't tried it. We haven't tried the utthapam and adai but hope to do so in the future. You can tell that the food is very fresh, and service is quick and efficient. There is a also a fridge where you can find dosa and idli batter for purchase. The batter is excellent. If I have any constructive feedback, the bathrooms could be cleaner. All in all, this place is excellent and everyone should go!!“

“This place is great I loved the food, however highly disliked the service, there was no one to be found near us. We had to call the waiter a few times fire water, more food etc. The waitress was rather rude. I somewhat recommend this place. Yes for food, no for service.“

“I have wanted to try this place for years. Can't help but to notice it with the unique architecture. Located on the corner of Folsom and Bradshaw a local treasure. Decisions decisions.... decided for it being my first time to try the signature pita of course. Rice bowl and waffle fries (loaded) looked good too! I ordered the chicken pita. They have white or wheat pitas, and even vegan options on the menu. Veggies were all very fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed my pita. The staff was all very friendly, and the lady packing my pita gave menu recommendations, too. I will be back. Don't be like me and just drive past for years. Stop in and have a bite. The outside/shopping center looks a bit run down as garbage all out especially near the liquor store. But Pita Q was very clean and fresh ingredients inside.
