“Hands down my new favorite Chinese food restaurant in Sac. And I've been here my whole life so I know all the little hidden gems (like Eastern Empire before it shut down...so sad ?). This place is seriously dope though. They're as friendly, kind, courteous and professional as can be; use high quality ingredients (more so than the majority of Chinese restaurants in Sac); they're efficient and my favorite thing about them is they're significantly cheaper than any other restaurant (Chinese or otherwise) in the area! Seriously, I don't know how they do it...but they do! I guess the only not spectacular thing about em is their location. It's easy to miss and I feel like I should maybe have a weapon on me when I come to pick up my food! Lol... Oh, and it's worth mentioning that this isn't really a sit down and dine kind of spot either. They only have 2 small tables in the lobby, and those are more for waiting than eating on. But, if you're looking for some fire a** Chinese food, this is your best bet!-Top Shelf Quality-Great People-Most Affordable Hands Down-ULTRA HIGHLY Recommend“
“??Wonton in Chili Oil - It smells garlicky and good, medium spicy level. The filling is good, a pork & shrimp stuffing, the garlic is the major flavor through the dumpling. This is one of the spicer versions of this dish that I've eaten.I would come back to try other things.“
“Nice ambiance, very hospitable staff and good service, we ordered Chole bhature, aloo tikki, shahi paneer (shredded) and veg biryani the food was fresh and exceptionally tasty, sesame naan was very soft, sweet yogurt drink was perfect, in all a very good Indian/pakistani restaurant, I strongly recommend this restaurant “
“Food was great! Quick and prompt seating. I had my 6 year old with me, so I was curious how they handled food togo when you don’t finish. They asked us if we wanted a box; so that was nice. Prices posted online are not the same as what we were charged. The proces are reasonable and we will definitely be back.Parking: Limited parking in a shopping center, but didn’t have a problem finding a spot.Kid-friendliness: Offered a lid for the child’s water.“
“I love this establishment with all of my heart. Where else can a person buy an entire lunch of barbecue buns and hotdog buns for two for under $15 these days? This place has captured my heart and my stomach. Definitely recommend the scrumptious barbecue buns and especially the har gow, which are perfectly tender, flavorful, and delicious. The staff working the counter are very kind and accommodating as well. Highly recommend!“
“My coworker bought this a while a back and let me try a little and I very much liked it. I went today for lunch, and the food was even better. I ordered the vegan beef and broccoli and chicken chow mien and they both hit the spot. It is a little expensive. Maybe some dinner combos might help with the cost. I highly recommend and would return when I want to spoil myself a little.“
“Been meaning to try this restaurant for a long time but every time I visited the wait was always over 45 minutes. Finally decided to wait this time and I'm so glad I did! The food was so delicious that I came back two days later. Both times our wait was 45 minutes long but very worth it. I can see why they are so popular! The space is small and seating is quite limited. They do have outdoor seating but it wasn't available due to the cold, rainy weather. They open their Yelp waitlist on some days so I would recommend checking to see if the waitlist is open and joining prior to heading to the restaurant. There's only street parking but I didn't have trouble finding free parking on the same block. Both times we ordered their garlic noodles and vegetable dumplings. We also ordered their mapo tofu, garlic eggplant, and spicy wonton. Food came out super quick after ordering and was piping hot. Portions are generous and everything was so delicious!! My favorite had to be their garlic noodles and garlic eggplant! The garlic noodles are perfectly cooked and seasoned and so tasteful! The garlic eggplant is one of the best ones I've had! The eggplants were soft, savory yet sweet and pairs so well with rice or noodles! I also really liked the mapo tofu as it was flavorful, although it was spicier than I had expected. The vegetable dumplings were perfectly steamed and the filling was full of texture and flavor. The dipping sauce was soy sauce based and I would have liked the dipping sauce to be more vinegary, but it still complemented well with the dumplings. I didn't try the spicy wonton but my friend enjoyed it and it comes with a spicy dipping sauce. This is one of the best Chinese restaurants I've tried in Sacramento. Would highly recommend!! Definitely suggest coming with friends and ordering family-style so everyone gets to try everything! I really appreciate that they have a variety of vegetarian options and is clearly indicated in their menu. I will definitely be back to try all the other vegetarian options!“
“Tiny place, small parking options, great food. Ill with RSV all of January (happy new year ☹️) I desperately needed some Hot and Sour soup. I'm relatively new to Sacramento, so I looked up restaurants on the internet for pics of the soup. Their's looked like the correct ingredients, so I took a chance. Ordered ahead, Googled directions, and found a place as tiny as a tea cup. One middle-aged couple having quiet a lunch... my type of place. A tiny diamond on a side street between lovely residential area and business area. Soup was fabulous, so I ordered more dishes to go. Good food, not haute cuisine, but really good. This one stays on my speed dial - yeah, I'm old. ?Vegetarian options: It's a Chinese restaurant ? ya know, tofu, veggies ?Parking: Parking lot is a gravel "street/sort of alley" affair but definitely designated for parking. And there is some street parking.“
“Da Fei Ge restaurant is a must go to restaurant that has authentic Chinese skewers and a tasty clay pot. My wife loves Skewers, and she said these are the most authentic and tasty skewers she has ever had. I enjoyed all the skewers as they were seasoned very well. Thia will be a spot that I will come back to because it is that good. The Black Pepper Beef Rice Clay pot is flavorful and tasty. We loved the chicken skin, lamb, beef, pork belly, chicken heart, bacon mushroom, potato eggplant, squid, capelin, and chicken gristle skewers. We love the service and how quickly the food came out. We also love how nice the place is.“
“If you're turned away at the run down exterior of the old 50's strip mall, turn around and give this place a try. The locals come here for good reason! The noodles are great and all the accompanying dishes are great. They make their own boba teas too. The thing is you got to get past the exterior, the place is busy. I was a little hesitant as I put my hand on the door but I knew the instant we entered it was a hidden gem. Do you want tasty things to eat. This is the place!“
“I mainly came here for their authentic handcraft Xiao Long Bao. They have an open kitchen concept in which you can see them make their delicacies realtime. I ordered their spicy pork Xiao Long Bao. One order comes with 8 handcrafted pieces. They were initially really hot, but cool down fairly fast. They are delicious in my opinion. There is lots of flavor in the meat and the broth. There is a really good balance of meat, dough and broth. They are each a decent size.I was also fortunate to try their Beef Braised Brisket Noodle Soup. The broth has a slight spice to it and although on the saltier side, it is packed with flavor. The meat is abundant and incredibly tender. The noodles are thin and have a pleasant chewy texture. The portions are generous with this soup. The Thai iced tea has good flavor and a fair price. I wish it was creamier though. I have to be back to try their Organic Coconut Dessert.Staff is friendly and fast. The restaurant is quite spacious and clean. They offer dine-in with indoor and outdoor seating, takeout and online orders. They also offer delivery through third party apps. It’s located in Crocker Village right in between Great Clips and Nekter Juice Bar. There is plenty is parking available.“
“Something inside me said TRY this place. Last night in Sacramento and close by too. Very very good. We got the sesame chicken, pork fried rice and the potstickers. The potstickers are mini footballs and amazing. The sesame chicken and fried rice were bomb. These items could have easily fed a family of 4. Super friendly dude, a tad sketchy part of town but well worth it. *you order and then wait in your car or whatever. Huge portions if you're into that.“
“This place serves best chinese & vietnamese foods.. i love the Pork Kidney with egg noodle! The staffs can speak Vietnamese/ English and friendly. The place is not huge but big enough.. so be aware of quing. Overall, i will be back when i have a chance to visit Sacramento again ?“
“The restaurant is almost always busy. So be prepared for the wait if you come at the dinner time or weekend. I also noticed their online menu is slightly different from the store menu. I prefer the menu with pictures. They all look delicious and are not overly priced. You can take care of drinks, snacks and hot meals in one restaurant. That's a plus.“
“An authentic Hong Kong style dim sum restaurant that has plenty of delicious options. From the moment one enters the door, servers warmly greet you, ask for your party size, and beckon you in. Right as one sits down, servers with carts flock to you, rapidly and eagerly serving you all sorts of delicious options. The service is immediate and lightning fast! They all speak English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and many will ask if you would like to order anything specific that isn't shown on the carts. The sesame balls with red bean paste was my favorite dish, but the others didn't fail to disappoint as prices are quite affordable, starting at 4.50 for small dishes, 5.00 for medium, and 5.50 for large dishes. The room is also lavishly decorated with a stage and dance floor (probably for weddings), drapes hanging from the ceiling, and chandeliers dotting the area.“
“Delicious Cantonese/southern Chinese seafood and dim sum restaurant. More upscale and thus more expensive than other equally delicious local alternatives. Food: Dim sum dishes - 4/5 - very good but not exceptional; also relatively overpriced /more bougey. Dim sum is to be ordered hot and fresh from the menu House/wor vs regular wonton soup - 4.5/5 - wonton with other protein variety which overall was very good, but I've definitely have had better wontons House combination fried rice - 5/5 - one of the best Salted egg shrimp and pumpkin - 5/5 - just delicious! A favorite that you must try! Lobster, salted egg style - 5/5 - this style surprisingly works really well for seafood and personally tastes as good as the scallion(green onion) and ginger, my previous favorite lobster style Walnut shrimp - 5/5 - very delicious crispy fried covered sweet mayonnaise and walnuts Black pepper chicken - 4/5 - pretty good Rainbow chicken - 5/5 - excellent taste and aesthetics Seafood satay rice noodle in clay pot - 5/5 - delicious seasoned/sauteed glass noodle with seafood Yue huang vs seafood pan fried noodle - 5/5 - excellent version of a classic Chinese country style rice noodle - 5/5 - delicious stir fry of glass noodle with sautéed protein Yue huang chow fun dry - 5/5 - another fantastic version of a classic wide rice noodle dish Beef chow fun dry - 5/5 - love this w Seafood chow fun with egg wet - 5/5 - if you love seafood + egg + chow fun rice noodle Ambience: Large spacious dining area featuring beautiful Chinese traditional art Service: Fast and friendly“
“Can't wait to explore the menu, the Mongolian beef was Amazing! I was born in Japan and haven't tasted anything as close since I was there! I will keep periodically updating.....Parking: There is a security guard walking....Wheelchair accessibility: Very open and easy to get to.“
“Tried the Foil wrapped chicken, lobster cheese wontons, beef fried rice, honey walnut shrimp, and shrimp with green beans. The wontons are crispy and tasty. The foil wrapped chicken was excellent, tasty and very juicy. The fried rice had good taste, I could taste the fire of the hot wok. The shrimp and green beans had a brown sauce, with the beans crispy and the shrimp cooked just right. The walnut shrimp were also good, not too sweet and the batter stayed crispy.Overall a good restaurant, prices are good, service is great.“
“It's so cute. If you're into warm fuzzies, and all things pink, this place is for you. Customer Service is great, and I brought my 10-year-old with me, and she loved the little gigantic cup with the little stuffed surprise at the bottom of the cup. I got the grape mock beer fruit tea, and I found it really refreshing and not too sweet. It actually tastes like real beer! My daughter got the strawberry matcha ice cream and tea and she loved it. We got a lychee milk tea to go with lychee jelly and it was also good. Also enjoyed the crispy chicken. Would definitely come back!“
“Pretty good chinese cuisine! Inside it is nicely decorated, nicely renovated with even a live waterfall. Tables and floor are clean. Chairs wrapped in gold colored cloths. Overall a nice interior Food quality is pretty good. The beef steak tasted really tender, which means it was probably a high quality cut. The portions are also pretty big. Price is a bit on the high side, but it seems like that is the industry segment they are going for. Staff are pretty friendly. There are also Karaoke rooms in the back if you want to host a private party. Overall a good place to go for quality chinese food!“
“Homey Chinese restaurant. Plenty of parking outside. Next to Dollar Tree. The sign of the restaurant is small and a bit unassuming. Credit cards and Apple Pay are accepted. Bathroom in the back of the restaurant. The food was so good that we placed an order of food to take home for dinner. Cheung fun (steamed rice roll) is the thing to get here. You can add egg for $1.50. I liked the beef better than the shrimp. Maybe because they used smaller sized shrimp. Congee is also popular, but I didn't try it. Mushroom beef comes with some string beans, so this is a good well-rounded dish. Honey garlic spareribs were sweet. I thought it was tasty, but the meat had tiny bones. The satay egg & shrimp chow fun was good too. Service was good. They would refill our waters. They spoke English and Chinese with us. I'd be back!“
“Best pho in Sacramento, hands down! This spot is owned by a Vietnamese family, who will be the ones cooking and serving your food for you. Their service is always 10/10, they're fast and accommodating. The restaurant is clean and well maintained, prices are awesome as well.“
“The quality is like no other. Nice thick pieces of meat, real egg in the fried rice, made when you order. The flavors and spices are incredible. Fast service, although they only do take-out orders. They load up the plate/box. We always have leftovers. This is our go-to chinese place!“
“The Cashew Chicken is divine! The chicken was so well flavored and tender. The Curry Chicken was amazing! The Chicken Chow Mein was the best I have ever eaten. My husband LOVES the Chicken Fried Rice and Spicy Chicken Wings. This is always our go to place.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap and wheelchair accessible.“
“Just recently found this hidden gem. Probably the best pho I've ever had! I like to order No.4 beef pho. Big portion but the price is still lower. It can be very busy sometimes, so after you are stated you have to wait for a while to order and get your food delivered.“
“$14.99 PER LB!! The hostess did her best to explain the process to us but we missed this important detail which cost us a $40 meal per person. Concept is pretty awesome. Walk in, grab tongs and a plastic bowl. Fill the bowl with your favorite veggies, meats, toppings. Get to the cashier, scale your bowl for total weight, pick your broth and off the bowl goes for cooking! They have lots of vegetable options and meat/fish balls. It's an incredible selection! House bone broth is really good. The tomato broth was my favorite. The flavors are delicious and tastes like home cooking. Really pleased with the quality of the meal. There's a self serve dip station!!“
“Recommending the pork spring roll -- it's stuffed with tender and flavorful pork with a nice char on it, in addition to crispy bean sprouts and lettuce, springy rice noodles, and chewy rice wrapper. The peanut sauce it comes with is a little spicy.“
“You never know what you might get when you try a new restaurant and trust the yelp reviews. I did ask a gentleman standing in line waiting for his to-go order what was good here (not hi, not excuse me)! He gave his seal of approval and we stayed. This place is worth the visit! We were celebrating a friend's birthday and her only ask...Chinese food! We were a party of 5 and walked in without at wait. We opted for the family style meal for 5. The portions were HUGE (leftovers for the next day), the service attentive, huge chunks of fresh vegetables, and enjoyed the variety. And the food kept on coming! The only thing all of us didn't care for were the egg rolls. They were meh.“
“Walked in, place was clean, open , airy. Staff was extremely friendly, helpful with menu and suggestions on the food. The food was tasty, plentiful, quick and delicious!! Can't say enough about the staff. Friendly and top notch!! We will be back.“
“Always try to come here whenever I'm in the area. Sometimes they are closed and get depressed. Amazing food and tastes authentic. Fresh ingredients and friendly owners. Great place❤️Vegetarian options: There is vegetarian options. You can even request vegetarian versions of original dishes.Kid-friendliness: Is kid friendly.Parking: Free parking, but try to be quicks because Sac PD like to give parking tickets on competitive parking areas like Broadway.“
“ok - it has been several years since we are here last. the last time we were here, they served moldy broccoli and we all had food poisoning. So how were the dishes today? And why did we return? First off, this is what we ordered: 1) salty/spicy pork chops: very good- just needed a little more spiciness. But still had a nice flavor. The meat was also very tender and moist- I would order this again 2) Tomato Beef Chow mein: another excellent dish. fresh noodles, fresh veggies, tender pieces of beef and a nice sweet tomato based sauce. Ordered Hong Kong style but with thin non-crispy noodles. yes would order again 3) Chinese beef stew: this is how you prepare this dish. other chinese restaurants nearby can't even come close to the tenderness of the beef and tendons along with the traditional flavor of this dish. Finally, the star anise is present in this dish and not just soy sauce or too much chu hou paste. The only complaint were the overcooked bok choy that was layered below the beef pieces. the bok choy was overcooked and a bit slimy- but would order this dish again 4) stir fried fish fillets and chinese gai lon: very tender pieces of fish and nice garlic flavor. The only complaint would be to cook the chinese gai lon a little more to achieve the proper tenderness. So why did we return? perhaps the prep cooks and chef had a bad day last time. So i will return again.“
“Pretty solid family owned, Chinese restaurant. Found this place through yelp on a rainy day when we were craving Chinese food. Service has been super friendly the last couple times we came. The first time we came, we were recommended to get the pork wontons, he said they were hella good and they were!! When you come here get EXTRA of their chili oil, THE BEST I've ever had, I want to bring some with me to every Asian restaurant I go to now lol“
“This plac w has an awesome authentic Chinese food menu. Jay the owner is often found behind the bar serving drinks. He loves his cognac liquor. The sea bass and prawn are the best in town. Bring your steeltip darts to as he has many dart boards to throw on. Warm and relaxed atmosphere where a lot of laughs are had.“
“Yummmmmm!!! My first time having this type of noodle soup dishes. The broth was super flavorful and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The crispy pork was in fact CRISPY. I love how they garnished the dish with pickled cabbages, pickled long beans, peanuts, and bamboo shoots. It really elevates the dish. If you ever try this place, don't forget to add their spicy chili oil! That brings the dish to a whole new level.“
“The dumplings had thick wrappers, and while the beef and pork chive flavors were ordinary, the portion size justified the price. The savory and spicy chili sauce complemented the dish well, while the sweet sesame sauce added a pleasant contrast.“
“So far so GOOD! I will be back to try more!So far I have been there probably 10 more times. Consistently yummy, delicious hot food and a ton of it. I ordered two lunch specials it fed 4 people for lunch! I wish this was my neighborhood restaurant!! GREAT PRICES ALSO!!“
“Food was tasty and their display was nice and their food was warm. The cooks brought out the food on time as well. Place was nice and clean. The atmosphere was okay because the location still in the Hood. But I will return because the food is awesome and affordable.“
“First time eating inside this place, but I have ordered takeout from another location in sac. We came around dinner time and we're immediately seated. I had high expectations since I knew their food was good. I ordered something different than my usual (beef pho) and instead ordered bun rieu. I've had the authentic dish before at a viet party and it was bomb so I also had high expectations because of this.Overall the bun rieu broth was great!! Very flavorful and I could taste the crab in the soup. I loved the abundance of crab meat balls and the noodles were cooked nicely. The tofu on the other hand was dry and tasteless but the soup made up for it. 9/10. My sister ordered the banh mi, grilled pork. She gives it a 9/10. It was a bit on the pricier side for the size it was but it was delicious and the extra cabbage and cilantro on the side was great. My sisters bf ordered the bun Bo hue and didn't have the same experience as we did and rated it a 1/10. He said that the soup wasn't flavorful and the spicy oil was the only thing that gave it some flavor, the noodles were over cooked and the beef tasted like it was boiled in water for too long. Service was good though and the vibes were chill.“
“Great Pakistani, Indian, Thai & Chinese dishes, very flavorful and spicy... Not like other places where they dumb down the food for American's sensitive palettes! The absolute best times to go are during Ramadan , and after Lent!!!!! The food is Super Fresh, and they have a better variety than during lunch...but don't come until SUNSET! That's when the real magic happens! They serve these special drinks and this AWESOME dessert called, KULFI...YUMMMILIOUS!!!! Absolutely delicious food and delightful dinning experience!! Will go again and again, and again...“
“Place has fast service, tasty food, and decent prices. Parking is usually good in front or on the side lot. Also, you may recognize some of the waiters from Regent restaurant which closed in the pocket area. Service is fast and friendly. Always great for either eat-in or take-home.“
“Fresh, because it's made while you wait. Took 15 minutes for the order. The food was very good. The husband had orange chicken, which had actual chicken, instead of an unrecognizable blob covered with batter. I had the Mongolian beef combo and it was delicious!“
“Late post..my new favorite spot for lunch or dinner...been going to a neighboring competitor for years(since 1990)recently service has dropped drastically and the food has become mediocre,it was a good run for jade fountain..the wait is a minimal and the service is on par. The food? Very authentic hk style cafe aka "cha chaan teng" few of my friends agree and my coworkers loves the food. Besides the awesome late hours this is a yes for me. From your rice and noodle dishes down to your authentic chinese comfort food..the steamed meatloaf reminds me of how my grandma use to make it. This place has been here for years..hopefully this place will be around much much longer. Reminds me of the likes of some of the Bay Area places when I use to work in the bay. Awesome job blue moon and thank you!“
“This place was delicious!!! I've gone to the laundromat across the street for years and finally came here for dinner. OMG I am living for this restaurant!!! We got the Smoked Ham Fried Rice, Kiss of Fire Orange Fish Filet and shrimp skewers. Def will be back“
“The staff is friendly and the food is great. Warm atmosphere makes it a nice place to eat and relax with family and friends.Parking: It's in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: First floor, no stairs so I believe it is wheelchair accessible.“
“Just spotted this place on a whim and boy am I glad I did! I could smell it from outside! Had to pop in. I ordered the salt and pepper wings and they are tdf (to die for). Everything cooked to order . Wings are jumbo. 8pc. Seasoned perfectly. Lightly breaded. Piping hot. The flavor is phenomenal. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. My new favorite Chinese spot.Parking: Plenty of parking no stress finding a spot but hurry because after this review it's definitely going to be hard to find a spot.“
“It’s not a dine in, that’s like the least of worries. The good food makes up for it & the man working the register has been there for as long as I can remember, the food has been great. Have had all the soups, fried rice, and egg rolls. Not to mention the fries here go hard nice thick cuts. But overall I’d give this place and service good ratings. Definitely one of those places where food makes you come back.“
“Went here twice in the last month. Overall the food was pretty good, i love the clams and the steam fish, as well as the clay pot rice. But the roasted duck and the chicken wings were only so-so. Amazing value and good portion size though, will come back again!“
“First dimsum experience in Sacramento. I went around noo on Sunday. The parking lot was full, so I ended up parking at Target. Waited about 30 to 40 minutes to get a table. Once we sat down, the carts came by quickly we were able to eat right away. I loved dimsum selections and they were very tasty. There were three of us and we spent about 90 dollars including tips. I would come back here to get dishes that I missed.“
“Had to make a trip to Harbor freight while out that way and came across the Palace and knowing me being a food critic and not biting it till I try it at least once right well the food was goooood fresh and tasty will try again for sure whenever that way thx Dragon palace! I was hungry and didn't want to get hangry...“
“Went out with my daughter and bf for a late dinner. We went big. Salt and pepper chicken and Wor won ton to start with. Both were excellent. From there it was Buddha's delight, orange chicken, bacon wrapped scallops, chow mein and steamed rice. Everything was fantastic. It was pi day and they had sold out. But our server Mariah found one hiding in the back for the road and even comped it for us. Amazing food and excellent service as always.“
