“The first time I ordered, some extremely rare error had occurred and my takeout order through a meal delivery app wasn't processed (I've never had an issue ordering since this time and I got a full refund from the meal delivery app). When I got there, they explained the issue and seemed very apologetic. I paid at the register and they got to work on my food. When they handed me the bag with my order, they were super appreciative that I was patient and ordered in-person after the error. And they absolutely LOADED my takeout with extra helpings. It was very sweet. I live on my own and it took me maybe 6 meals to get through my order of one meat dish and one noodle dish.
Since returning, they have always greeted me warmly and the environment is just so peaceful to me. It feels like what I saw takeout places were in the movies as a kid. It sits next to a barber shop with a vintage aesthetic and a liquor store with a polite owner.
When I got back into my car one time, the chef was going on his smoke break and just gave me a sincere nod.
I know a lot of this may seem superficial but it's special in its simplicity. The food is good, the people are sweet, and you should order here and have a simple, quiet night.“

“We ordered food for pickup. Food was ready when they said it would be. Their wontons are really good and their vegetable chow mein. I’d highly recommend this place - there are so many Chinese restaurants in the area. This one is worth the drive.“

“1st time getting takeout there. Staff was very nice. Very expensive. Food was ok. Lemon chicken tasted good but the chicken was old, chewy and dry. Sweet and Sour pork was ok and had no pineapple in it which was odd. Chewy and not great tasting pork. Chow mein was good. Broccoli beef was good. Really 3.5 stars so 4 stars os generous. We won't be back. $55 for 4 items is insane. Sorry.“

Going back tomorrow with the family to celebrate our anniversary. We moved here from the Bay Area a year ago and this place exceeded our expectation.“

“Friendly staffs and pretty good dimsum as good as the ones I got in HK and Toronto. These coconut bunnies definitely brought back childhood dimsum memories. They also have an impressive looking mango sago dessert which we didn’t get to try“

“Had them twice and both times have been great. I needed one more visit to make a judgment call. First visit was kung pao chicken and it was very delicious. But I needed to try a fried plate like general chicken. The general chicken is fire! It’s not all breading! You’re getting full on chicken and the sauce is crazy! Very delicious. They are the truth no doubt.“

“The food was really good, better than expected but it was $20 a plate!! I ordered orange chicken and veg chow mein. I was expecting it to be $15 for each at the most but my total came out to $40. Would love to come back cause it was so good and authentic but not for these prices unfortunately“

“First time, will return. The food was very good and plentiful, the prices reasonable for nowadays. The place is cute and clean.
We were a bit hesitant at first as no one else was in the restaurant, it was an odd hour though 2:30. Four other tables filled up before we left.
It was wonderful to get full size egg rolls! So many places are giving you tiny ones or even just halves. Didn't get a pic, but they are full size and very good.
We each had a lunch special, generous helpings and everything was very flavorful. We asked for the egg flower soup instead of the hot and sour due to personal preference and it was really good - even had a bit of chicken in it which you don't usually see. I had the general chicken, chicken chow mein and pork fried rice plate. He had the sweet and sour pork chicken chow mein and pork fried rice plate. Thoroughly enjoyed and we both have leftovers (unusual for him so that tells you the serving was a lot).
Only negative was that they charge $5 for a pot of hot tea. We passed. :(
Recommend giving them a try.“

“Really cool place! A friend took me here to try malatang for the first time and it was amazing. My friends and I grabbed some bowls, got in line to get some meat, veggies, protein, and noodles. Then we got to choose our soup bases, order some drinks, and bam, just sat and waited till our bowls were cooked for us. If you don't like soups, you could always get your bowl as a stir fry. You also have the option of making a custom sauce for your dish.
I was a bit worried that my bowl would be really pricey since I added a lot of meat, but it only came out to around $17! I also got some tasty green milk tea boba for 50% because of a special sale they were having.
I think this is a great place to bring people who like to have control over their dishes and want to pay for their own meal. It was nice being able to pay for my own bowl and sit down with my friends while we ate. No one had to argue over the bill or do Venmo, we just had a good time paying for our own food with the portions we wanted.
Plus, everything was really clean and neat. There were lots of freshly cleaned tongs and bowls.
Looking forward to coming here again.“

“This place is amazing!! We stopped in after finding this place online and are so happy we did. The service is incredible, everyone is so friendly and considerate of how your experience is. The food is amazing!! I can’t say that enough, super fresh, super yummy!! We had chow main, broccoli beef and orange chicken, ALL FIRE 🔥 but what stole the show was the chicken egg rolls and pot stickers, homemade from scratch and AMAZING!! Best Chinese food around!! We’ll be back… when our two year old learns how to act lol. Thanks Jade Garden for the wonderful dinner!!“

“The Google description hits on all the great things about this place. The food is legit, the people working are really helpful and kind. For example, they recommended we order less cause the portions are large enough for 2 kids to share 1 bowl. That attitude is appreciated. Food came out quick, the foods delicious and fresh. Will definitely make my way back here.“

“Kiwi juice with Boba is so good my favorite.
For some reason I thought this was the same as lollicup lol but this is the restaurant side. Never been here before, the lady that answered the phone when I called didn’t really want to help but I understand because I didn’t know exactly what was the name of the soup I was looking for ( my niece recommended) but expected that in person she would be more friendly but she was in the middle ( nice but rude at the same time) but I have to be honest the soup I got it was number A16 was not good for my taste and my honest opinion, had no flavor, I expected more , will I come again? Yeah maybe , and maybe try something different .“

“Love this place. Been going since early 90s. Moved to North Carolina back in 2001 and yes I shipped C for four to north carolina. Worth every penny. Coming back to Sac this week for vacation. Always a place I go when visiting. In the south everybody talks about soul food. It's good and all but this is truly my soul food.“

“I visited Wong's Canton Chinese Restaurant on a Thursday, a little after they opened around 1130 am. This was my first visit. The hostess was very kind and sat us at a table. My friend and I ordered two different lunch combination plates ( #2 and #3) to share. There was so much food that my friend was able to take the uneaten food for her husband.
The food was delicious. If you try Wong's, make sure to bring your appetite.“

“Drove by this place for years and finally tried it out. Got a lunch special and the price was very good for soup, egg roll, chow mein, shrimp, tea.
Food was great. Portions big--typical of Chinese food. Value can't get any better than $14 for everything I listed above.“

“This is my new favorite Asian restaurant it’s far from home but so worth the drive. From the decor to service to the amazing food…. I can’t say how refreshing it is to be able to eat clean healthy Asian cuisine. The owner is Bill and I’ve met him twice now. He’s passionate about his restaurants, yes I said restaurants plural. He let me know there’s one in Eldorado Hills and Folsom as well as this one I’m reviewing in Citrus Heights on Sunrise. It’s beautiful, clean, and the food is so very delicious! Highly recommend and give it 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“This was my second visit, and the food was just as good as the first time. I ordered the sashimi, oysters, octopus, hand rolls, and edamame. Everything was fresh and delicious, especially the sashimi and oysters. I came with my daughter, and she had a great time too. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, which made it easy to enjoy our meal as a family. We’ll definitely be back again.“

“Best Chinese restaurant around Sacramento area if you are looking for authentic spicy hunan Chinese food. I’ve been coming here once a while for the past two years. Great environment and staff. Server can be a bit slow since it can be short staffed when busy but it’s worth the wait!“

“My first visit here. I enjoyed the vermicelli with chicken dish was nicely prepared and came with a serving of their sauce mixture. I thought it was very good and the chicken had a nice flavor and was not dried out. I nearly did not go in because the storefront was blackened and was a bit surprised when the door opened.“

“They deserve to be busier but I’m glad it’s nice and quiet. Great service, very good food, clean and comfortable. The fried foods are done absolutely perfectly, not over greasy, crisp and moist on the inside. I do prefer the lemon chicken over orange bc the sauce on the orange was too much like sweet and sour and had no spice. It also needed some kind of fruit or vegetable to break it up but I am very happy with the lemon chicken. Glad we found this cute little hole in the wall.“

“I ordered their Cashew nut chicken from the lunch special. It had lots a veggies and the chicken had a nice flavor and was not chewy like at some other places. It came with a wonton but no sauce. The wonton was not crunchy and not very good. The fried rice was cooked well and tasty. The portion for lunch was good. I wish it was a little less greasy.“

“I found this gem when I did a search for chicken chow mein. I was impressed by their willingness to eliminate certain ingredients that I cannot eat/digest. That means a lot to me.
The food is perfectly prepared per my requests and the lady at the counter is so nice and friendly.
The portions are plentiful and prices very reasonable. It seems like so many Chinese food places are getting too expensive for my budget so Wei Wei is now my go-to for Chinese food. I have only ordered takeout but I am sure it's also wonderful for dining in. The last time I was there I saw a large party of ladies who looked and sounded like they were enjoying themselves and the food.
I happily recommend it. Easy online ordering is available and you just pay at the restaurant. Easy peasy! I look forward to trying more dishes and the lunch specials too.“

“Panda Express has solved the big chain issue of different service and tastes per loction. Have dined at many locations and staff is always friendly and good is consistently good. “We had dinner on a Tuesday evening and the seats were only about half full, so the atmosphere was calmer and quieter than some other buffets. There were lots of staff tending the food and bussing the tables. The food was pretty good! I'd go back for sure. Lots of American options for people who don't like the international offerings.“

“We were traveling to Lake Tahoe. We passed through Sacramento and ate Asian food called Yum Cha Cafe (on the right side of the Shunfa SF Supermarket on 65th Street. We ate their roast duck, barbecued pork buns, shrimp balls, and barbecue. , fried noodles, siomai, their roast duck is so famous and really delicious. Very good seasoning, very fresh, plump and elastic meat. This is the most valuable roast duck in this area. I only had it in Hong Kong last time. I'm so happy today. I tasted such a good taste again. My family and I are very happy. I recommend it to everyone. You must try it. It's incredible.“
“Regardless what some reviews said about their food vs the Welco down the street, you get a better tasting Chicken fry than Welco. Better Chow Mein than Welco. And guess what, a better value.Every time I go to Raley, Albertson and even Belair to get some Chinese food, especially hot and ready, it reminds me of my father taking me there. Now I shared the same passion. Of course every once in awhile for them hot and ready, otherwise I prefer freshly cook.Welco doesn't offer that same passion along with taste with the price hike. Smh, some reviewers need to visit Sizzling Wok with that same hunger and passion.“
“Horrible service but great chinese food that doesn't make you sick after. Bathroom and dining area can be cleaner. Kitchen is clean and the food is not sloppy. The food is the best around 100%. I've been going here for years and eat here maybe once a week. I love the orange chicken, the ginger beef w/rice, pork chops, chicken noodle soup(no bone) with extra ginger/lemon sauce... don't forget to ask for the ginger sauce. The menus had everything really from seafood or cream cheese wanton to fried fish or chow main. I'd give the restaurant a 5 stars for the food alone but the waiters are horrible so 4 stars. No English and very rude . But the food!!!!“

“Every experience I have had at this restaurant has consistently exceeded my expectations, and my mother who visits there regularly echoes my sentiment. The owner Amy goes above and beyond to ensure that her guests feel welcome and be food is delicious as well. The friday pork bun special and teriyaki/pepper chicken are all favorites here. While it isn't your typical fast food chinese restaurant, this locally owned establishment hits all the marks in terms of quality and customer service. Keep up the great work!“

“I used to go to this place before covid happened. I tried their Singapore noodles before & didn't care for the way the chicken & shrimp were cooked. I think I came back once and tried another dish that wasn't a homerun either. During covid doors were securely locked, signs were posted everywhere stating no dining in. It was a big deal you were required to order over the phone, walk up to the door to hand your currency over. They'd lock the door go to the register to ring up your order, then bring your food and method of payment back to the locked guarded door and hand you your food along with your receipt. That was many years ago! So this week I wanted to give them another try. The doors were both accessible. Dining in is now available. There was approximately 2 sets of people dining. All the old signs to stay out and call in were gone. There's a nice long list of menu items and also a list of daily specials on a stand-up whiteboard sign. I was greeted upon entry. I ordered the eggplant 🍆 special plate with tofu. I thought I wanted to tell her to give me more veggies than tofu but, she did that naturally. the plate came with either rice or chow mein or both. I choose both so I could sample them. I also ordered 4 eggrolls which are actually vegetable eggrolls. I had asked if they sold spring rolls but she ketchup me know the eggrolls have no meat only vegetables. This was exactly what I had been looking for. I ordered my food and it all added up quickly. A little more than Ivwould have liked to pay but, itcwas well worth it. I had my food to go. Took it home and was excited to try it out. The eggplant was delicious. It was marinated and seasoned to perfection. I was pleasantly surprised. I tasted the tofu and I loved it!!! I was moving the eggplant around searching for more pieces. The texture taste and flavor was some of the best tofu I've had in years. I'm definitely going backvtovtryvthe extra mushroom tofu dish that I saw advertised on their website. So to sum it all up I had an excellent second experience. The eggplant tofu plate was delicious. They could have keptvthecrice itcwas basic and soy colored but, nothing special. Chow mein is good. Tge eggrolls were sooo good the bestvkindcwithca fresh flaky wonton crunch. Unlike others that are bready and not packed with fresh yummy vegetables. There eggrolls are greatly and I'll be back for more.“
