“Tien really helped get my order ready on time. For some reason on the app, my order was placed two hours from now instead of right away. She was able to help get it prepared within 5 to 10 minutes. I really appreciate her and everyone at this location great food, and service!“

“Ate here for dinner before going to the movies last week. Food was really good and the service was wonderful. Andy was very helpful with the choice of our food. Going back tomorrow with the family to celebrate our anniversary. We moved here from the Bay Area a year ago and this place exceeded our expectation.“

“This is our go-to Chinese spot in Folsom! We are frequent regulars here, largely thanks to their wonderful, welcoming service. They even recognized us on a recent visit after we hadn't been back for a while! This place holds a special spot in our hearts—we’ve been coming here since before our son was born, and we even celebrated his 3rd birthday here.
My top menu recommendations:
Hop Sing Beef
Brandy Fried Chicken
Salt and Pepper Fish Fillet (pro tip: ask for sweet and sour sauce on the side!)
Seafood Crispy Noodles
Any of their Fried Rice dishes (you seriously can't go wrong!)
The best part (and best-kept secret): You can request several menu items to be made gluten-free!
Beyond the nostalgic vibes and amazing food, the location is perfect. Snooks Chocolate Factory is just a short walk away, making it incredibly easy to grab some ice cream or handmade chocolates for dessert right after your meal. Highly recommend!“

“Great to-go place. Huge portions. Ask them for their recommendations on what to order. Every time I go and ask them what’s good , it’s always super tasty! Love the special wonton soup. Just ordered it a few minutes ago and I’m looking forward to it. 😋“

“Had them twice and both times have been great. I needed one more visit to make a judgment call. First visit was kung pao chicken and it was very delicious. But I needed to try a fried plate like general chicken. The general chicken is fire! It’s not all breading! You’re getting full on chicken and the sauce is crazy! Very delicious. They are the truth no doubt.“

“This place rocks. If you want authentic pancakes with your Mu Shi Pork and if you want authentic potstickers that taste yummy this is the place for you! Everything I ate was good and reasonably priced.
Unfortunately their AC was out today and it was 106 degrees in my car. I didn't want to give them a 4/5 for atmosphere, but I had to honestly.
These are great people!!! Support the ma & pa businesses when they are better than 99% of what's in Sacramento County!!! Support Szechuan Garden! <3“

“One of my favorite Chinese food restaurants! The food is great with a large selection of lunch specials to choose from. Delicious food with large portions. This time with the sweet and sour chicken lunch special that also comes with a cup of hot and sour soup. Super stuffed! 😁😋😎“

“This is my new favorite Asian restaurant it’s far from home but so worth the drive. From the decor to service to the amazing food…. I can’t say how refreshing it is to be able to eat clean healthy Asian cuisine. The owner is Bill and I’ve met him twice now. He’s passionate about his restaurants, yes I said restaurants plural. He let me know there’s one in Eldorado Hills and Folsom as well as this one I’m reviewing in Citrus Heights on Sunrise. It’s beautiful, clean, and the food is so very delicious! Highly recommend and give it 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“This place has been around for 59 years and counting. It was my first time there and I ordered the shrimp fried rice and got some beer all in one spot! I love it. The food was great and the service was too. The owner was very nice and helpful.“

“I'm always scared to try new places. The reviews were good so I decided to give them a try. Worth the 5 stars. W all had different plates and my kids said theirs were really good. They give a lot of food. I'll definitely have this on my list of to go places.“

“Really cool place! A friend took me here to try malatang for the first time and it was amazing. My friends and I grabbed some bowls, got in line to get some meat, veggies, protein, and noodles. Then we got to choose our soup bases, order some drinks, and bam, just sat and waited till our bowls were cooked for us. If you don't like soups, you could always get your bowl as a stir fry. You also have the option of making a custom sauce for your dish.
I was a bit worried that my bowl would be really pricey since I added a lot of meat, but it only came out to around $17! I also got some tasty green milk tea boba for 50% because of a special sale they were having.
I think this is a great place to bring people who like to have control over their dishes and want to pay for their own meal. It was nice being able to pay for my own bowl and sit down with my friends while we ate. No one had to argue over the bill or do Venmo, we just had a good time paying for our own food with the portions we wanted.
Plus, everything was really clean and neat. There were lots of freshly cleaned tongs and bowls.
Looking forward to coming here again.“

“The Google description hits on all the great things about this place. The food is legit, the people working are really helpful and kind. For example, they recommended we order less cause the portions are large enough for 2 kids to share 1 bowl. That attitude is appreciated. Food came out quick, the foods delicious and fresh. Will definitely make my way back here.“

“The amount of food given during the lunch special is definitely worth your money. We had the orange chicken special with fried rice and chicken broccoli. All come with egg drop soup and one veggie egg roll. Great service. Enjoy!😋“
“This place is great. Got the fried prawns and cheese wontons for apps...both delicious. Combo chow mein had the best flavor I've tasted in chow mein in a long time. general Zaos shrimp was fantastic and was a good size portion. Magic chili beef was ok, had the magic chili chicken no prior visit and it was better than the beef. Overall amazing experience... Would recommend to anyone and will for sure go back.“

“We got an assortment of dishes for a decent-sized group (15) of family, and everyone truly enjoyed the food. Some even said it was the best they ever had! The food was ready very quickly and they accurately predicated the timing so we got to bring it home hot and fresh. The portions were large enough to split amongst multiple people (2-3 each), but they don't come with rice so be sure to order some with your dish.“

“Great spot for a classic Chinese meal! The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Everything tasted fresh and hit the spot. A solid 4/5 experience—definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a satisfying, affordable dinner.“

“Kiwi juice with Boba is so good my favorite.
For some reason I thought this was the same as lollicup lol but this is the restaurant side. Never been here before, the lady that answered the phone when I called didn’t really want to help but I understand because I didn’t know exactly what was the name of the soup I was looking for ( my niece recommended) but expected that in person she would be more friendly but she was in the middle ( nice but rude at the same time) but I have to be honest the soup I got it was number A16 was not good for my taste and my honest opinion, had no flavor, I expected more , will I come again? Yeah maybe , and maybe try something different .“

“We decided to try this place on a whim since we pass by it diving to our gym all the time. We ordered pork fried rice, pork chow mien, general Tao chicken, and Mongolian beef. 2 adults and one very hungry teenager ate and we had enough for left overs for all of us the next day. The food was the best Chinese food I've had in a while and definitely the best tasting in the area. Portions were generous, staff was super friendly, place was clean... what more could you ask for? We're already ordering again since my son requested it for his birthday dinner. This is now our go to for Chinese.“

“Amazing pho and I appreciate that they take a student discount for Sacramento State students. My friend and I used to go to other pho places that would be very busy and would forget requests that we would have, but this location would be very attentive and remember if we had asked for more water, limes, etc. I love the calm vibe and it is so relaxing after a long day at work.“
“Overall, it was a decent experience. However, the portion sizes were somewhat disappointing, and the noodles were overly salty.
The dumplings were good, the service was decent, and the atmosphere had the charm of an old-school Chinese restaurant. I expected much more based on the reviews, but in the end, it was still a reasonably enjoyable meal.“

“I visited Wong's Canton Chinese Restaurant on a Thursday, a little after they opened around 1130 am. This was my first visit. The hostess was very kind and sat us at a table. My friend and I ordered two different lunch combination plates ( #2 and #3) to share. There was so much food that my friend was able to take the uneaten food for her husband.
The food was delicious. If you try Wong's, make sure to bring your appetite.“

“Drove by this place for years and finally tried it out. Got a lunch special and the price was very good for soup, egg roll, chow mein, shrimp, tea.
Food was great. Portions big--typical of Chinese food. Value can't get any better than $14 for everything I listed above.“

“I’ve been here twice now and I can’t believe how good it is. I can’t say that I know what authentic Chinese food is, but the taste is very different from the usual Chinese-American places. It reminds me of places in Chinatown in San Francisco.
I had the Kung pao chicken and Chongqing chicken (which already tells you that it’s not your usual place) and they’re very flavorful while not being overtly sweet or salty. I also get an idea of a Chinese restaurant based on the hot and sour soup and this place makes one of the best in the area. It’s different enough to notice.
I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves Chinese-American food, but wants something a bit different from the 99% of the Chinese restaurants out there. And you can also have the usual chow mein or orange chicken if you want.“

“It has a small clean dining area.. I went with my vegetarian friend and we had the sizzling braised tofu with vegetables.. it was very flavorful (black bean sauce) and we had their mixed vegetables.. I really enjoyed the food, filled my plate three times and still had leftovers for home. They also had lemon water as well as regular water.. it was a hot day outside so the lemon water was very refreshing. I would definitely go again when I am in the area.“

“We ordered food for pickup. Food was ready when they said it would be. Their wontons are really good and their vegetable chow mein. I’d highly recommend this place - there are so many Chinese restaurants in the area. This one is worth the drive.“

“They deserve to be busier but I’m glad it’s nice and quiet. Great service, very good food, clean and comfortable. The fried foods are done absolutely perfectly, not over greasy, crisp and moist on the inside. I do prefer the lemon chicken over orange bc the sauce on the orange was too much like sweet and sour and had no spice. It also needed some kind of fruit or vegetable to break it up but I am very happy with the lemon chicken. Glad we found this cute little hole in the wall.“

“This place is our go to since moving to the area 3 years ago. I feel confident in saying that this place is great and I recommend it. It is only to go, no dining in. The service is always super friendly and fast. The portions are large! Favorites are the orange chicken, tomato beef chow mein, honey walnut shrimp, house fried rice and brocolli beef. Yum yum! I love supporting this kind and yummy family business. It also feels very clean and the food is good quality.“

“I was waiting on a late flight and happened to fall right upon this place The owner (bar tender) is absolutely delightful. The whole crowd made me feel right at home. I will recommend this to everyone, when we are in Sacramento!“
“Regardless what some reviews said about their food vs the Welco down the street, you get a better tasting Chicken fry than Welco. Better Chow Mein than Welco. And guess what, a better value.Every time I go to Raley, Albertson and even Belair to get some Chinese food, especially hot and ready, it reminds me of my father taking me there. Now I shared the same passion. Of course every once in awhile for them hot and ready, otherwise I prefer freshly cook.Welco doesn't offer that same passion along with taste with the price hike. Smh, some reviewers need to visit Sizzling Wok with that same hunger and passion.“

“We had dinner on a Tuesday evening and the seats were only about half full, so the atmosphere was calmer and quieter than some other buffets. There were lots of staff tending the food and bussing the tables. The food was pretty good! I'd go back for sure. Lots of American options for people who don't like the international offerings.“

“They are very kind and accommodating. I requested to have the broccoli cooked very soft and no peas in the fried rice and they did it perfectly! I really appreciate it because it's the only way I can enjoy broccoli and the rice (digestive issues).
Prices are fair for the portions and I always have leftovers. And the flavor of the food is spot on!
Thank you Happy Inn! You're the best! I will be back again!“

“We were traveling to Lake Tahoe. We passed through Sacramento and ate Asian food called Yum Cha Cafe (on the right side of the Shunfa SF Supermarket on 65th Street. We ate their roast duck, barbecued pork buns, shrimp balls, and barbecue. , fried noodles, siomai, their roast duck is so famous and really delicious. Very good seasoning, very fresh, plump and elastic meat. This is the most valuable roast duck in this area. I only had it in Hong Kong last time. I'm so happy today. I tasted such a good taste again. My family and I are very happy. I recommend it to everyone. You must try it. It's incredible.“

“I have been here several times by myself, today was the first time that I took one of my Asian friends the true test. I am glad to say that I was correct this place is above average in food quality and just below perfect in customer service. I definitely would recommend Pho Viet. They were definitely observing social distance procedures, and it didn't effect the great customer service.“

“1st time getting takeout there. Staff was very nice. Very expensive. Food was ok. Lemon chicken tasted good but the chicken was old, chewy and dry. Sweet and Sour pork was ok and had no pineapple in it which was odd. Chewy and not great tasting pork. Chow mein was good. Broccoli beef was good. Really 3.5 stars so 4 stars os generous. We won't be back. $55 for 4 items is insane. Sorry.“

“An interesting example of balance in casual Chinese dining. After a drive from Fair Oaks, I noticed how well the kitchen handles texture: vegetables retain crispness, sauces are present without overwhelming the dish, and protein portions are proportionate. Even the fried rice shows attention to timing and heat. It demonstrates how technique can quietly elevate familiar recipes.“

“I used to go to this place before covid happened. I tried their Singapore noodles before & didn't care for the way the chicken & shrimp were cooked. I think I came back once and tried another dish that wasn't a homerun either. During covid doors were securely locked, signs were posted everywhere stating no dining in. It was a big deal you were required to order over the phone, walk up to the door to hand your currency over. They'd lock the door go to the register to ring up your order, then bring your food and method of payment back to the locked guarded door and hand you your food along with your receipt. That was many years ago! So this week I wanted to give them another try. The doors were both accessible. Dining in is now available. There was approximately 2 sets of people dining. All the old signs to stay out and call in were gone. There's a nice long list of menu items and also a list of daily specials on a stand-up whiteboard sign. I was greeted upon entry. I ordered the eggplant 🍆 special plate with tofu. I thought I wanted to tell her to give me more veggies than tofu but, she did that naturally. the plate came with either rice or chow mein or both. I choose both so I could sample them. I also ordered 4 eggrolls which are actually vegetable eggrolls. I had asked if they sold spring rolls but she ketchup me know the eggrolls have no meat only vegetables. This was exactly what I had been looking for. I ordered my food and it all added up quickly. A little more than Ivwould have liked to pay but, itcwas well worth it. I had my food to go. Took it home and was excited to try it out. The eggplant was delicious. It was marinated and seasoned to perfection. I was pleasantly surprised. I tasted the tofu and I loved it!!! I was moving the eggplant around searching for more pieces. The texture taste and flavor was some of the best tofu I've had in years. I'm definitely going backvtovtryvthe extra mushroom tofu dish that I saw advertised on their website. So to sum it all up I had an excellent second experience. The eggplant tofu plate was delicious. They could have keptvthecrice itcwas basic and soy colored but, nothing special. Chow mein is good. Tge eggrolls were sooo good the bestvkindcwithca fresh flaky wonton crunch. Unlike others that are bready and not packed with fresh yummy vegetables. There eggrolls are greatly and I'll be back for more.“

“Its actually really good coming from a person who had more than 50 hotpot price is good and taste is the best. The worker or owner(not sure) was very nice and i loved it. It was worth driving 25min to try it. I got a lot of ingredients but it was $20. I got szechuan soup base. Only thing is that they dont have peanut sauce. 마라탕맛이고 정말 맛있어영 꼭 드세요 가격도 다른 가게 대비 좋습니다.“
