“We got the Hunan style noodles with beef, pork and cabbage dry pot, and eggplant and green beans. All the dishes were so tasty!
Parking: Free parking lot with plenty of spots available.
Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly restaurant. High chairs are available for babies. No booster seats for smaller kids. Most dishes are spicy, so may not be kid-friendly in that sense.“

“哇!This is some of the best Chinese food I have eaten in the Sacramento area; great new flavors that I didn't even know were originally Chinese. The waiter was nothing but kind was very considerate with my limited knowledge of Chinese cuisine, even recommending me some things on the menu and refiling my lemon tea when I ran out. 10/10 would recommend!“

“Tasty Palace is the best Chinese in town, bar none. It's authentic northern Chinese cuisine, so it's spicy. Lots of people expecting Panda Express will be disappointed. But if you want an authentic and very tasty Chinese dining experience, this is the best game in town.
I recommend nearly every seafood dish, the tofu, the lamb... It's all great. Be forewarned -- it's not boring. It's full of flavor.
Reasonable prices too considering portion size. Nearly every dish can easily be shared between two people.
This has become our Chinese go-to spot, and I hope more people will give it a try!“

“I was pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of this Hunan restaurant. I ordered four dishes in total, and the overall quality exceeded my expectations. The Changsha stinky tofu was the first time I’ve experienced such authentic stinky tofu in the entire US. Although it was listed under the cold dishes, it was actually served hot. The tofu was incredibly juicy and flavorful. The rice noodles were also exceptional, especially considering the price range. The pork intestines were prepared nicely as well. I must say, students in this area are fortunate to have access to such an authentic Chinese restaurant at a relatively reasonable price.“

“Are you looking for a hole-in-the-wall type place with great food and value? Look no further.DNC is a no-frills place - don't come here if you want someone to wait on you constantly. They seat you, bring you water, ask for your order, bring it, and leave you alone to enjoy your food. If they see your water is low, they will come fill it. I say "they", but really there is typically one waitress who handles all the tables and checks. If you need anything else, you catch her eye or go ask her at the counter. Personally, I love this type of service. If you don't, well, you should still try the food, but maybe temper your expectations before you go.The food is delicious and served in big portions. I can't usually finish a bowl of soup in one sitting. Pro tip: if you have leftover soup, but maybe too many noodles for the remaining broth or vice versa, you can order an extra serving of noodles or broth to take home. The chow mein isn't traditional American Chinese chow mein - it's more like a garlic noodle stir fry. And it's delicious.I like most of the vegetarian dishes I've had there. I usually default to the kimchi tofu noodle soup or the regular veggie noodle soup, but I think I've tried all the soups on their dedicated vegetarian menu and have enjoyed them all. If you want more protein, you can ask to add tofu to any soup.Their veggie appetizers are also good, but my favorite is not listed on the menu - the vegetarian pot stickers. Perfectly crispy and chewy, they come with a filling of mushrooms, glass noodles, and minced vegetables and a dipping sauce. The only appetizer I haven't enjoyed was the fried tofu. I only tried it once, though (the potstickers are my favorite) and I give restaurants two shots before giving a solidly negative review on any item in case it was just a one-off event. It was the only disappointing item I've ever received from them, so I'm looking forward to trying it again. (I'll update this review when that happens.)All in all, this is one of my top 5 restaurants in Davis. It's what I crave when I'm sick, or if I just want a quiet lunch with a comforting bowl of soup (with leftovers!). I love this place.“

“Went here because I heard it was really popular. The food did not disappoint, My girlfriend got the popcorn chicken while I got the 12pc Beef Dumplings. At 1 dollar a dumpling, I can not complain! The meat was tender and delicious while the popcorn chicken was just the right crispness. Not to mention the paprika they add. Delightful! I do have to say their menu options are quite limited compared to other dumpling houses I’ve been too, but they definitely have more variety in the drinks then others. Drinks were really good too!“

“Food is good. Everything pictured in this post had a running total of ~55$ and definitely enough to feed two~three people (8 Skewers, Wagyu beef, Lambchops, and Ramen.). You order by using a marker on a laminated menu, numbering how many skewers of whatever meat you want on one side and whole dishes like the lamb chops and ramen on the back. They turn on the charcoal/gas pit while the mechanism rotates the skewers to and fro on top, cooking it at the table.I'd have given it 5-stars but I think the menu is inaccurate, or the kitchen staff didn't understand what I ordered. For instance I checked the beef tenderloin but received beef tendon instead, and the option that listed sausage turned out to be hot dogs. Sadly when I brought it up to a waiter later asking what the yellow skewers were, they pointed out it was probably tenderloin and I took their word for it, until looking it up at the end of the meal and finding tenderloin is indeed a cut of meat, and not the cartilaginous tissue I was eating. Sadly didn't the wrong tendon skewers comped.Highly recommend the wagyu and the Korean-style beef skewers.“

“Not a bad price for takeout. Through Fantuan $15 for a huge portion of noodles and $12 for 5 buns. That's nice because it is a ways away.
The bun dough was not spongy and instead nicely bouncy and soft. Veggie had a lot of egg and the juices of the pork didn't mush up the wrapper.
Noodles were very very large (the container is quite deep) but it was quite sweet. I did come with a lot of minced rendered pork and edamame giving it good variety in texture. Because it was so heavy and oily I added spinach and tofu to make it a bit lighter and to balance the sweetness and it was much better.
Not too sure if I'd come back, but I could see myself thinking about this place when I want buns.“

“Friends say it's just like the Uniboil they're used to in Southern California and I can't argue with that assessment. Get the triple meat hot pots if you want a ample portion, or add extras off the menu. Triple, pork blood, tendon meatballs, all kinds of delicious noms.“

“This a great simple super affordable quick bite, perfect for college aged people or someone looking for really good simple food. If ur looking for fine dinning and atmosphere this isn't that, but they do a great job at what they do.
Salt pepper pork chops and the pork belly fried rice were amazing“

“Where do I start? I was new to the Davis foodie scene, but I came across Ding How and my mind was BLOWN. My partner and I both love vegan food, and was shocked to find Ding How had an entire vegan menu. Our go-tos are the Chin Ju chicken, Sesame chicken, Szechwan beef and a house chow mein! I always try to venture out of our favorites but.. they’re just so good to not get a second time! ? The staff are super patient, and friendly. They greet us so kindly upon entering and always check on us if we are dining inside. Oh! I forgot to mention that the lunch special is superior (especially when I’m on a budget and still want a hefty plate) but make sure you order before 3pm! Major shoutout to Ding How!!!!!!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU! ??“
