“HK Garden has the best hot and sour soup, egg foo young, and potstickers in Dixon. I like their combo plates(specifically the general chicken) and their foil wrapper chicken, the food is always piping hot, fresh, and ready in less than 20 minutes. Much better quality ingredients and flavor profile than going to the chain restaurant down the road.“

“Tasty Gourmet is such a great spot in Davis. They have all the classic Chinese-American dishes you’d expect, and everything we ordered was really good. The portions are also very generous, so you definitely get a lot of food for what you pay.

The bao dessert buns were especially amazing and were definitely one of the highlights of the meal.

What stood out the most, though, was how kind and attentive the staff were. I believe this is a family-run business, and you can really tell they take pride in what they do. It’s the kind of place where you feel genuinely welcomed, and I’d definitely come back again.“

The Spicy Crispy Chicken was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice.
The Beef Chow Mein was much better than the typical American Chinese version, with tender, high-quality beef.
The Eggplant with Century Egg and Peppers was delicious, especially after mixing everything together.
The Dry Pot Pork Intestines were the highlight—crispy, flavorful, slightly spicy, and incredibly clean with no off smell at all.

“Very good food. The speciality item - sesame chicken was very soft. The zhang liang mian could was a little bland - but had fresh ingredients. The xiaolong baos were really tasty. Overall, a great place to visit. The service was fairly quick.“

“Noodle House, as my family and I lovingly call it, is an icon in Davis. It's a little hole in the wall behind Sophia's Thai Bar that was referred to my husband and I 15 years ago. We walked in and almost left because it's small... and old... and a little sketchy? But we decided to give it a try anyway.
We have been coming regularly since then, and our family has grown, and grown up begging to go there for special occasions like getting good grades, etc. There is nothing we have had that isn't delicious.
I highly recommend the won ton noodle soup, pork chop noodle soup, szechuan eggplant with noodles, the potato curry with noodles, the 5 spice beef noodle soup, and the chow mein.
The noodles are homemade. The broths and sauces are unique, delicious, and literally award winning.
The service is fine. It's the same lady for the past several years. She's quick and efficient. Before that, I think it was her mom or aunt.
You won't regret trying it out - and if you do, you'll be back.“

You order first, grab a spot, and they bring everything out in to-go containers… not my favorite move for dine-in, but this is a busy college town spot so clearly it works for them. Service was solid, food was good (not mind blowing, but it hits the spot), and I appreciate the range of vegan and vegetarian options. Easy place to land when you just want something satisfying without overthinking it. Solid 3.5–4 stars.“

“I didn’t expect to enjoy a steak from a Chinese restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised. My Brazilian friend wanted steak at 11AM and most steak restaurants weren’t open. We saw a picture of a steak om google maps and decided to try it. Not only was the steak very tasty, and Brazilian approved, but the whole meal was very inexpensive. Give it a try.“

“Nice hidden cafe serving good food. Braised pork belly bowl and popcorn chicken were great. The bowl portion was big and the meat and bok choy was soft and sweet. Popcorn chicken spice was nice and meat was juicy. I only got the 25% sweetness black tea and that was a nice pairing with the food.“

“I forgot to pick up the order yesterday, but the manager in this restaurant did a replacement meal for me and let me take away. I was surprised for this and thought that I might be told that no order would taken away this time since I was late.“

“This restaurant did not disappoint! As an Asian girl with a rather particular palate, I highly recommend this buffet! Their main courses are absolutely delicious, particularly the Beijing beef (broccoli and beef). Recommend for everyone ！🥦🐂

I also noticed many patrons come for the crayfish, and overall, it absolutely won't let you down. The only slight issue I'd mention is that the dessert selection isn't particularly extensive.

There was also one male waiter who seemed very eager to please, but when I asked for a glass of water, he didn't bring it. I'm not sure if he didn't hear me clearly, but I won't blame him. They seems so sweet and friendly！

All in all, the service at this restaurant is excellent and very reasonably priced. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.“
