“I've ordered food from here probably a dozen times; never eaten in but always to-go so I can't comment on the service. That said, the food is the best Chinese food I've ever had. The food is always ready when they say it will be. I'll keep going back.“

“HK Garden has the best hot and sour soup, egg foo young, and potstickers in Dixon. I like their combo plates(specifically the general chicken) and their foil wrapper chicken, the food is always piping hot, fresh, and ready in less than 20 minutes. Much better quality ingredients and flavor profile than going to the chain restaurant down the road.“

“The passion fruit tea was a 10/10 it’s a good amount of sweetness and I downed it very fast. I also ordered the spicy malatang and it’s been my 5th time ordering, it’s so addicting and delicious. Reminds me of my favorite spot in my hometown. Honestly a hidden gem in davis especially for UC davis students. Come check this place out, definitely a good bang for your buck.“

“My wife and I have ordered take-out twice, splitting an order of a General's Chicken the first time and Mongolian Beef the second time. The General's Chicken was wonderful - light, crispy with a delicious, slightly sweet-tart flavor. It was obviously freshly made. Our second order of Mongolian Beef was just the opposite. It was a stew-like meal that seemed to have been on the back-burner a while. Everything was limp and greasy. Very disappointing. We do plan to return, but will ask for a meal that is fresh.“

“Amazing variety of traditional Chinese dishes that you don’t easily find elsewhere. We shared a couple of dishes and some were really flavorful and exceptional. Ambiance and service are good, but not great. The dishes we tried were:
- I12 Dan dan noodles: 5/5 super tasty and flavorful, but quite spicy
- G2 Sautéed green beans: 5/5 simple but soooooo good!
- D1 Griddle cooked fragnant cabbages and pork: 5/5 again pretty simple, but very tasty and well cooked!
- E7 Hunan style sauteed beef: 5/5 excellent, so tender and juicy and well seasoned.
- I3 Farmhouse stir fried pork with rice noodles: 4/5 very tasty, but the texture of the rice noodles were a bit too slippery for my taste.
- E16 Ma Po the sauce was amazing, but the tofu texture was a bit too soft and strange for me.
- G4 Shaoshan stir fried shredded potatoes: 3/5 I didn’t have a problem with this, but didn’t particularly enjoy them either. Not something to go for again. The potatoes are kind of half way cooked.
- C1 Laotan boiled fish with pickled cabbage: 1/5 the fish itself was tasty, but the soup itself was super salty like drinking ocean water! I didn’t like the taste of pickles in the soup either.“

“Very good food. The speciality item - sesame chicken was very soft. The zhang liang mian could was a little bland - but had fresh ingredients. The xiaolong baos were really tasty. Overall, a great place to visit. The service was fairly quick.“

“Noodle House, as my family and I lovingly call it, is an icon in Davis. It's a little hole in the wall behind Sophia's Thai Bar that was referred to my husband and I 15 years ago. We walked in and almost left because it's small... and old... and a little sketchy? But we decided to give it a try anyway.
We have been coming regularly since then, and our family has grown, and grown up begging to go there for special occasions like getting good grades, etc. There is nothing we have had that isn't delicious.
I highly recommend the won ton noodle soup, pork chop noodle soup, szechuan eggplant with noodles, the potato curry with noodles, the 5 spice beef noodle soup, and the chow mein.
The noodles are homemade. The broths and sauces are unique, delicious, and literally award winning.
The service is fine. It's the same lady for the past several years. She's quick and efficient. Before that, I think it was her mom or aunt.
You won't regret trying it out - and if you do, you'll be back.“

“This place is awesome. Cozy spot for some of the best food. The dumplings simply can't be beat. We drive out from the East Bay when we get a craving. Last night someone in our party went off script and ordered the general chicken and we were all impressed. The portion was huge, just enough for him to allow us all a sample without getting upset his food was disappearing. It was amazing.“

“Seriously, the best Hunan and Sichuan cuisine you can find right here in Davis! I'm especially excited about their newly added items – they're fantastic! We ordered the premium pork elbow, sizzling plate spicy squid, Chinese winter melon, and stir-fried yellow cattle beef. It's convenient to find authentic Chinese food without having to drive all the way to the Bay Area. I also noticed their new decor and nice music!“

“Wow, a nice canto/HK style restaurant in Davis! They moved to this new location (previously village bakery) and I got to try it this week.
Surprisingly delicious! I went to Tim's before they moved a few years ago and I didn't like it. But I feel like they are way better now. The steak and rice was super flavorful, and the price is quite good <$15. They also have a lot of to-go orders and they had a good number of people in during lunch.
A personal favorite is the bittermelon and beef. It was perfectly well done, and that's not an easy dish to perfect!
The interior is large and spacious and has nice decor. It's quiet and has nice modern feel to it. Parking can be a bit of a pain, but overall not too bad.
Can't wait to try their other dishes- but the steak (with black sauce) and rice is a must try, and also try the bittermelon beef! Enjoy!!“

“We ordered for take out. Love that the woman on the phone was super patient and helpful when we weren't exactly sure how much to order and what some dishes included. She was super kind and offered suggestions even though they seemed busy (we orders on Lunar New Years Day. She never rushed nor acted rude and impatient like some places when you start asking "too many" questions.Food was good & just in the perfect time like they estimated. We will order again or go eat there. One of the best Chinese places in Vacaville we've tried. Good service. Nice family owned business. Good food. Definitely worth supporting.“

“Friends say it's just like the Uniboil they're used to in Southern California and I can't argue with that assessment. Get the triple meat hot pots if you want a ample portion, or add extras off the menu. Triple, pork blood, tendon meatballs, all kinds of delicious noms.“

“First, incredible value for the portions you get. Got the pork fried rice. Well seasoned and generous amount of pork. Takes be back to the old days when Chinese food used to be affordable. Beats paying $20 for a side dish at a different restaurant.“

“Consistently incredibly delicious food
Consistently incredible service
CONSISTENTLY making me come back for more
I love this location, and their food is always fresh and tasty
Genuinely the locations in Sacramento suck, as does the one towards woodland, so I always savor eating at this location to enjoy every single bite
You cannot look at this set up and tell me this is not the most gas picture you’ve seen all week, literally making me salivate at 3 AM, and yet u gotta wait til after exams to go indulge myself
Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some“

“I have been going here since a kid and my parents went here as a kid as well. The food has consistently been amazing. I always get the walnut shrimp and when it’s cold the wonton soup. I am hoping this restaurant can still stay open because it’s truely a part of Davis and the best Chinese food in Davis“

“I feel this panda is set up a little funny...there isn't really a clear path to the start of the ordering area. There is to the cash register though! Which can be misleading.
The employees are all very kind and quick to help.
The watermelon refresher is downright magical!“
