Tasty Gourmet Reviews
This is one of my go to spots in Davis and I order from here all the time. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistent, and I’ve never been disappointed with my order. The portions are great too. Definitely one of my favorite places to grab food!
Simply amazing, hidden jem!

Tasty Gourmet is a hidden gem known for its outstanding food, service, and atmosphere. This family-owned restaurant offers a variety of amazing dishes such as eggplant with tofu, Singapore Noodles, and the satisfying hot and sour soup. The portions are generous, and the chowmein and fried rice combo is a must-try. Customers enjoy the fresh dim sum, including steamed BBQ pork buns and pork shrimp shu mei. The crew is respectful, and takeout orders are ready on time. Recent reviews highlight the quality of the shrimp, describing them as "crazy" good, ideal for a fun dinner with a partner. The tomato and egg rice plate is praised for its fresh, flavorful taste, and the egg custard bao is noted for being fluffy with just the right sweetness. While some dishes like General's Chicken are freshly made and delicious, others like Mongolian Beef can be less satisfying if not fresh, appearing limp and greasy. The owner clearly cares about her business and treats customers like family, creating a welcoming environment. It remains a terrific spot for delicious meals at reasonable prices, tucked away from the hustle and bustle.
