Dah Bao Reviews
Nice hidden cafe serving good food. Braised pork belly bowl and popcorn chicken were great. The bowl portion was big and the meat and bok choy was soft and sweet. Popcorn chicken spice was nice and meat was juicy. I only got the 25% sweetness black tea and that was a nice pairing with the food.
I adore this place. Their Thai tea with their garlic eggplant rice plate rejuvenate my soul on bad days. The owner is so kind and the staff are excellent and the food is consistently amazing. I really enjoy this place and will be back again many times.
Never had the drinks, but I tried the Beef Noodle Soup and it was fantastic! Great flavor and plenty of it to last a while for the price. Honestly, one of the best noodle soups I've ever had. The owner is really nice, also!
It was a bit of a wait dining in but thats perfect if you're having lunch with friends so you could chat a bit, and the foods worth the wait.

Dah Bao is a restaurant that offers a variety of delicious Asian dishes. The beef noodle soup is praised for its authentic taste, while the buns are described as yummy. The dipping sauces, especially the scallion oil, are a highlight. Customers have also enjoyed the shrimp, beef, and veggie dumplings, as well as the beef bao and chicken plate. The pork bun is larger than expected, juicy, and reasonably priced, reminiscent of those found in San Francisco's Chinatown. Some visitors have noted that the food is often packed to go, with limited seating available, making it more suitable for pickup or delivery. The chicken and tofu with cold boiled egg over rice, beef noodle soup, and braised pork belly with Chinese sausage are highly recommended, especially for tender meat and good flavor. The buns have a nicely bouncy and soft dough, with fillings that include egg, pork juices, and edamame, offering good texture. The large noodles are sweet and heavy, but adding vegetables like spinach and tofu helps balance the dish. Parking is available nearby on Fifth Street, close to other Asian restaurants. Overall, Dah Bao is appreciated for its tasty dishes, reasonable prices, and convenient takeout options.
