Nice place for Chinese buns and tea boba drinks.

Love this place. Good drinks, and great service. The popcorn chicken is amazing and the beef wrap is delicious. Definitely a great spot in Davis.

I found Dah Bao when I was searching for something quick and easy to eat during my road trip. I ordered the pork bun and beef wrap. The pork bun was bigger than I anticipated, juicy, and had the right amount of filling! It is reasonably priced as well. It reminds me of the ones I've had in SF Chinatown. Beef wrap was similar to Chinese-style beef pancake but I did not love the sauce they used.

Cozy cafe vibes and decent boba, but the thing that keeps me coming back is the popcorn chicken. Nice and juicy with just a hint of spicy. If you're considering the beef wrap, get it! It's like a comforting bowl of pho inside a crispy onion pancake

Came here to try out their buns! It was a relatively small shop but I was just grabbing some buns to go. I got 2 veggie buns and a saucy pork bun and both fillings were delicious! The saucy pork bun was indeed very saucy and full of pork sausage (the same type of sausage you'd find in a Vietnamese Bánh mi I'd say). It was savory and lightly sweet from the sauce and the outer bun was soft and moist. The ratio of filling to bun was good too! The veggie bun had mushrooms, cabbage, and egg. It was equally delicious, particularly with the complimentary ginger and black bean sauce. The buns are generous in size, I could honestly be filled with 2 and definitely with 3 and considering the price, I would say that's a steal! Would definitely recommend coming here for the buns! I would love to come back another day to try the drinks or perhaps the other menu items.

The best boba place in Davis. The boba is always cooked just right and the teas are always the best. Besides boba their food is also bomb. I especially love their eggs and tomato which comes with an marinated egg. The buns are also juicy and delicious. I’ve also notice that they improve their dishes over time so that each time I order it I notice that it taste significantly better ( which I didn’t know was possible because it’s already so good) Highly highly recommended.

Highly recommend egg and tomatoes rice. But if you order Chicken Rice Bawl, be prepared to have only a small dipping sauce with fried chicken and rice, very dry. Also the drinks here are

Summary: lovely little boba + small foods joint, good value for money, good drinks and food, great service!Food items: serves some traditional Chinese foods like beef noodle soup, lions head meatballs, and baos/buns. Some more modern foods like popcorn chicken too.Honestly, all the food is pretty great. I have not been disappointed by any of it. I really suggest the beef noodle soup, buns, and popcorn chicken though. I think the popcorn chicken here is got to be one of the best values in town!If I have any critiques, I think the beef roll is a little different than what I normally expect but still tastes great. It is thinner and longer than what I traditionally associate with beef rolls. Still great flavor and taste.Drinks: I really like the drinks but they run a bit sweeter than some of the other boba places in town so I always ask for a bit less sweet.

I had the beef noodle soup here at it was decent. It was a bit too salty but still fine. I also tried their boba here and it was really good. I'd probably stop by again for boba.

Would recommend all their drinks!!However, their beef noodle soup was very greasy and not full of flavor. Their popcorn chicken can be cooked more.Their veggies buns are very soft and delicious.

Dah Bao is such a hidden gem, and despite it being out of the way of the general David downtown area, they really deliver in variety of drinks, and quality of food. Their portions are absolutely huge, and you get beyond your money's worth. We came expecting snack-sized portions and took food home from the abundance of a meal we received. The dough of the bao buns was fluffy and light, and I really enjoyed the egg, mushroom, and cabbage mixture in the veggie bao bun, especially with the sauce provided. The eggplant was incredible, and the soft boiled, cold egg was a super yummy touch to the bowl. My partner couldn't figure out what the saucy of the saucy pork bun was, but said it was savory and very good. The food was ready quickly, and the place was pretty empty, so it was nice to sit and eat without much background noise. We are excited to come back to try the wide variety of tea they offer, all of the drinks and smoothies look delicious, and many are made with real ice cream :)
