“I just wanted to give a huge thank you to the employee working tonight, about 30 minutes before closing! I didn't catch her name, but she provided such amazing customer service.

I had placed an order for the coconut pudding, but unfortunately they were out. She kindly asked if I would like to substitute it with a drink instead.

The drink was actually for my husband, who was waiting at home. I asked if she could make a lilikoi (passion fruit) black tea, even though it wasn't on the menu, and she happily did. When I got home, my husband took one sip and absolutely loved it! The lilikoi flavor was spot on, and the sweetness was perfectly balanced.

And I have to mention the mochi donuts—they were absolutely heavenly! Fresh, delicious, and the perfect treat. Thank you for going above and beyond to make a special off-menu drink and for being so kind, especially near the end of your shift. It really made our night, and we truly appreciate the excellent customer service. We'll definitely be back!“

“Nice hidden cafe serving good food. Braised pork belly bowl and popcorn chicken were great. The bowl portion was big and the meat and bok choy was soft and sweet. Popcorn chicken spice was nice and meat was juicy. I only got the 25% sweetness black tea and that was a nice pairing with the food.“

I rember one time I came here and ate ramen while watching the entire rush hour 1 film on their tv. “I highly recommend the avocado smoothe because it is made with real avocados. If you don't believe me, order it with zero percent sugar, and you'll be gulping down liquified avocado like me.

No fancy atmosphere or pretty decoration can replace fresh ingredients imo. This place offers fresh avocado smoothe.

The staff are kind and courteous. My order went wrong on second visit. It sounded like someone else took my avocado smoothe. What a surprise, other people know about high quality avocado smoothes too.

But I had waited 20 minutes for the smoothe, and I didn't want to miss dinner over it. I asked for a refund and left.

I was not angry. But the staff kept apologizing. She even apologized the next day when I picked up my avocado smoothe. It's really okay. Please stop apologizing.

“So happy they carry Matsu Matcha here. Davis does not have many cafes with good matcha, so I was really happy they are now carrying Matsu Matcha here permanently (not just a pop-up anymore) so close to campus. I go to the Matsu Matcha in Santa Clara, so it's awesome having this here. Drinks were great. My favorite is their Xtra strong matcha. A little too sweet at 30% sweetness, though. Ordering was fast and easy online. Will be back!“
