“Stellar experience — away from the hubbub of downtown so you can actually find a parking spot. Delightful ambiance in outdoor patio seating. Our server Matteo was helpful and attentive, and made solid recommendations. Mushroom salad and homemade pasta with asparagus were phenomenal — 12/10 would recommend. Chocolate mousse was decadent and delicious.“

“A great go-to dumpling spot.
Family loves this place- plenty of parking. It's near the Tesla charging station, and there is plenty parking on the backside here near Safeway.
Everything is excellent, the vibe is really good. The servers are excellent and the food comes out fast. Just a warning- it does get busy during lunch, so keep that in mind.
You can't go wrong- the dumplings are what they are best known for. Watch out, they have hot soup in them, so eat carefully. Enjoy!“

“A regular stop for me. I've worked my way through all the chicken rice bowls and keep landing on the Hawaiian Spicy Chicken — it's the one to get.
The place runs efficiently. It's often busy, but the wait never feels like a wait — the staff move fast and stay friendly through the rush.
Outside seating is dog-friendly, which is what brings me in on nice days. Being able to bring the dog and sit outside makes this an easy choice when the weather cooperates.
Already planning to come back — this one has earned its spot in the regular rotation.“

“Good selection of sandwiches, burgers, and salads. Easy to get in and out of this small bar and grill style spot. Fresh and good quality. My daughter had sliders with tots(a larege portion)! Buffalo blue cheese, and standard burger sliders. I choose the Ruben. Very tasty with a horseradish 1000 island sauce. A little small, but made well. It came with tot, fries or a salad. The lettuce(to much white) and salad overall could have been better but was still ok. They have a good selection of 1/2 lb burgers at about $18+-. We agreed it was a spot we would try again on another soccer tournament in Davis.“

“Let's start with the one downer, I did not see any prices listed, mow I may have missed them, I was hungry.
I ordered a Carnitas burrito supreme and my wife ordered a pollo tostada.
It is self serve chips with a salsa bar. Our food was at the table before I brought the salsa to the table. My burrito was large, hot and good flavor. The Carnitas was juicy and good. For both our meals it was around $24.00
I want to go back and try some different foods.“

“My wife and I have ordered take-out twice, splitting an order of a General's Chicken the first time and Mongolian Beef the second time. The General's Chicken was wonderful - light, crispy with a delicious, slightly sweet-tart flavor. It was obviously freshly made. Our second order of Mongolian Beef was just the opposite. It was a stew-like meal that seemed to have been on the back-burner a while. Everything was limp and greasy. Very disappointing. We do plan to return, but will ask for a meal that is fresh.“

“I kept wondering if Mrs Craig Vanessa was really an expert trader like they say, that she is not a scammer like the others, then I contacted her and I was shocked and amazed that with just $1,500 I invested, Mrs. Craig Vanessa helped me managed my account and after 7 Days of trading, I made my first withdrawal of $16,700. I'm here to testify the good work of her after she made a good profit for me in my investment. She's reachable via WhatsApp with the number on her Facebook: Mrs Craig Vanessa“

“I come to the area occasionally for work and family and Shabu Shack is definitely a spot I'll be coming to commonly!
The spicy miso and tonkatsu are my soups of choice and the beef belly (and other meats) are absolutely amazing.
It's a cozy spot that's super welcoming and the food just hits great. The service is top notch too with this one girl waitress (i forget your name, sorry! Something with a J ) taking the time to explain the menu and etc for us and super courteous too.
Will definitely be back every time in town. And 100% worth the visit when in the area!“

“The sandwiches here are varies and creative. It's the various sauces and accoutrements that give them their distinctive flavors, rather than different meats. Their meat are chicken and pastrami. Their choices of vegetarian sandwiches are large and the ones I have eaten have been very good.“

“We usually eat brunch in the bar which has been great, with great service. But we recently ate in the dining room/patio area and it wasn't the best. The counter is great, they get your drinks right away, the fresh OJ is always delicious and their coffee is flavorful. Prices seem steep for what is offered. Example, I ordered avocado toast for $13 plus one poached egg for $2.50. Over $15 for avocado toast seems a bit much. Sadly, the toast was hard, under seasoned and underwhelming. It's disappointing to pay for something I make better at home. The cornmeal banana pecan waffle was yummy, but had a slight sour aftertaste. The French toast with seasonal compote is always delicious. My favorite brunch item is the salmon BLT.“

“Solid Italian food! Probably one of the best in Davis. Osteria Fasulo is up there, but Paesano is more affordable.
So for the price, Paesano's is what you'd typically expect. The service is solid, and the dishes are generous. Just know that sometimes the wait can be a bit long for weekends.
It's been a while since I visited, but it's rarely empty and the vibe is excellent and memorable. The spaghetti, ravioli, and salads are great- and keep an eye out on some of the nice seasonal dishes. Enjoy!“

“This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Their Tikka masala is some of the best tasting food I've ever eaten - I'm not sure how they make it so good, but you owe it to yourself to go eat some!“

“This is one of my favorite lunch spots in Davis and I come here often. It's easy to access from the highway, with a decent parking lot, and ample outdoor seating. You line up right inside to counter order and they'll hand you a number stand, then they bring your food out to you when it's ready. There's a self-service tortilla chips and salsa bar in the back, and you can choose from any of the self-serve drink dispenser options (including the horchata) if you get a fountain drink (a la carte or as part of the daily special). I love how fast the food comes out and it's my go-to restaurant when I'm in a rush. I've had their tacos, burritos, quesadillas, enchilada specials, etc and they've tasted great every time. I highly recommend it!!“

“I used to come to this restaurant in the mid '00s, and it changed both name and ownership at some point between then and now. Perhaps I'm having a bit of nostalgia fogging, but it seems the quality declined somewhat the change. However, Nami is still a perfectly serviceable mid-range sushi restaurant even if they are no longer a hidden top-tier gem the way I remember them having been in 2005. Their sashimi continues to be decent, as do their bento boxes. They rolled out an AYCE menu at some point as well, but I haven't tried this as I tend to be skeptical of AYCE anywhere. The lunch service tends to run a bit slow even when the place is nearly empty, which I find mildly frustrating when I'm in a hustle to get back to work. The staff does seem to have some difficulty with English (they speak Cantonese as their primary language), which has made for difficulties in recent visits (explaining that I was not in fact ordering AYCE), but I have since become somewhat of a regular so they remember my preferences, which is a nice touch. I wouldn't call this a destination restaurant, but I appreciate it for its convenience and its prices which I find to be far more reasonable than many other Japanese restaurants in Davis. All in all, a good mix of quality, convenience, and cost -- a good lunchtime choice for folks who live and/or work in East Davis.“

“Oh my goodness. Visiting from SC and came in for spring rolls cuz they looked amazing. Well I ended up getting the pork vermicelli dish. (Bun noodle salad?) it’s AMAZING. So glad I ordered it. It’s so flavorful. I could eat this everyday. I might be back tomorrow too…“

“Omg!!! I have lived in Davis less than a quarter mile from Mr Pickles and I have never darkened their doorstep!!! I hate myself! Thinking back to all the times I was craving a French dip or reuben and it was at a stone's throw makes my brain want to implode!!!
Well, today was the day! I ordered both of those in sammie size just to try and also save for lunch tomorrow. I am so impressed and glad I've taken the chance. So fresh. High quality ingredients. Clean operation. Perfect portion. Plus each Sammie came with a cookie. What?!?!
The staff was courteous and friendly. Will be back to try everything! So nice to find a restaurant in davis that doesn't suck! Please keep up the work and great training.“
“David*** and the other staff here are good peoples for real!!! Not to mention the wholesome food-- now that's flavor! Mushroom burger, mac n cheese, and fries of all sorts are my favorites. Cozy & welcoming spot for us struggling students, grads, profs, and undergrads alike lol.“

“Juzco has been around since I was in college decades ago. It has outlived Fuji and Davis Sushi Buffet. It's simple, and it known for their lunch buffet.
The last time I visited, I was surprised by the fish quality. I mean, the service is not lightning speed, and the ambience is not superb- but it's really good sushi! I am not surprised to hear the international Japanese students frequent Juzco- maybe it feels a bit like home.
Anyways, I gotta give Juzco another try as it's been a while, but for the quality- I think Juzco is up there. Huku is another quality option if you want a more comfortable atmosphere, and Zen Toro is also an average option as well.
Enjoy!“

“Noodle House, as my family and I lovingly call it, is an icon in Davis. It's a little hole in the wall behind Sophia's Thai Bar that was referred to my husband and I 15 years ago. We walked in and almost left because it's small... and old... and a little sketchy? But we decided to give it a try anyway.
We have been coming regularly since then, and our family has grown, and grown up begging to go there for special occasions like getting good grades, etc. There is nothing we have had that isn't delicious.
I highly recommend the won ton noodle soup, pork chop noodle soup, szechuan eggplant with noodles, the potato curry with noodles, the 5 spice beef noodle soup, and the chow mein.
The noodles are homemade. The broths and sauces are unique, delicious, and literally award winning.
The service is fine. It's the same lady for the past several years. She's quick and efficient. Before that, I think it was her mom or aunt.
You won't regret trying it out - and if you do, you'll be back.“
“Cuarto dining commons tends to have a good quality of food at any point of the day. My favorite time to go here is for dinner as they have more options during that time. Refreshments are always great and they have a ice cream freezer where you can get fudge pops, strawberry shortcake bars, ice cream sandwiches and whatnot at any point of the day. Most of the staff is friendly but at times you do find some who aren’t so kind.“

“I have been going here since a kid and my parents went here as a kid as well. The food has consistently been amazing. I always get the walnut shrimp and when it’s cold the wonton soup. “love the beef chow fun, but it does sometimes taste too salty or too plain, they’re not consistent with it. had the tomato and eggs noodle soup once- it was just so watery and also flavorless. so don’t order that.
but the ma la stuff (the spicy numbing dishes) are pretty solid“

“This place is awesome. Cozy spot for some of the best food. The dumplings simply can't be beat. We drive out from the East Bay when we get a craving. Last night someone in our party went off script and ordered the general chicken and we were all impressed. The portion was huge, just enough for him to allow us all a sample without getting upset his food was disappearing. It was amazing.“

“The pizza is very good. However I must have gotten them on a bad day. On a very busy Saturday in September they lost the order that I had called in with the manager at 11AM Be careful because they can give the pizza to the wrong person due to Asian names sounding the same. The manager who had taken my order at 11AM by phone might have had a bad day. However she blamed me for their errors and mistake. A big shout and 5 stars to the employees who made the pizzas. However I did waste almost 1 hour waiting due to Cenarios of not having the pizzas when I came to pick them up.However i will coninue to support and give them another chance since I have beern a long time customer of Cenarios for close to possibly 15-20 years. I also thank the owner for reaching out to.discuss the natter and apologize for what happened.I continue to recommend and tell people to try cenarios pizza for some delicious pizza.“

“For years I've ordered the kid's chicken and rice plate with chips. Recently, I've been getting my new favorite: the chicken or steak border burrito. Damn that border burrito!!! It had caused my food baby to come alive and really should knock it off. I just won't, so there's that. Go get one and see for yourself.“

“This was my first time going to the Round Table Pizza in Davis, and I was honestly really impressed. The pizza came out hot and fresh, with plenty of toppings and a crust that was perfectly crispy without being dry. Everything tasted high quality, especially the sauce and cheese. The staff was super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better for a first visit. Even though it was busy, they were efficient and made sure orders were handled smoothly.“

“A little quiet, small spot good for going with friends. Had friendly conversation with the man in the back, I ordered the chicken teriyaki and split the popcorn chicken. Both were pretty good, at least when I went there the oil used for frying seemed rather fresh. The teriyaki was a tad bit crispy, which is how I like it. Also one of the few establishments in which I can find that offers Soju, and especially at a reasonable price, and various flavors of it. Overall, good place and a good experience.“
