“Lots of seating, which comes in handy during busy weekends when the whole university and their parents roll into town. Food was good - better than I was anticipating. The mocha cold brew was kind of amazing actually -- I'm not a coffee snob, but I certainly appreciate a good coffee and this was really good. Solid choice overall!“

“Walk in, friendly staff, prompt service. Suggested a burger I usually would not order- phenomenal! Ordered take out of ribs, chicken , pork and sides- all were expertly cooked, generous portions and tender with good flavor. Plenty of sauces, and heat to choose. Favorite was the tiny sliced sweet peppers ...had to tell the cook how perfect it all was!!! Reasonably priced, heck even the rare beer was perfect ( peoples choice beer)“
“David*** and the other staff here are good peoples for real!!! Not to mention the wholesome food-- now that's flavor! Mushroom burger, mac n cheese, and fries of all sorts are my favorites. Cozy & welcoming spot for us struggling students, grads, profs, and undergrads alike lol.“

“The good...the food was great. My family enjoyed the Firehouse Burger, Philly cheese steak, and Jam burger. The Bad: customers sitting next to us were loud and throwing F-bombs around numerous guests, including children. It's too bad the staff didn't notice ir address it. It was pretty unsettling.“

“We came here for karaoke but were a little too early. Still had a drink and shot some pool. Decent drink specials and nice pool tables. A little hard to find parking for the huge suburban we were driving but overall a good experience. Just a little hot in the back area where you shoot darts but prob because close to kitchen“

“I used to live in Davis more than decade ago and I still think about their burger to this day. I’ve had many burgers from many different states and this is still one of my top burger places.
I can’t wait to be back one day and eat their burger again“

“I recently visited Café Bernardo in Davis and was really impressed by the overall experience. The atmosphere is casual yet stylish, with a cozy and welcoming vibe. It’s the perfect spot whether you want to catch up with friends, have a quiet meal, or even get some work done.
The menu offers a good mix of options, from fresh salads and sandwiches to heartier dishes. I ordered the avocado toast with eggs, and it was delicious—artful and full of flavor, with perfectly ripe avocado and a hint of spice. The coffee was excellent too, rich and smooth.
Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the food came out quickly despite the cafe being busy. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and they use locally sourced ingredients, which is always a plus.
If you're in Davis and looking for a relaxed place to grab a flavorful bite, Café Bernardo is definitely worth a visit!“

“A family owned and operated place, they make me feel like a house guest every time a visit. Amazing salads and sandwiches. Great prices, and two pints of craft beer for $9 all day. Beautiful patio, too!“

“Much farther than Zias and a bit more expensive. Also a distinctly more "chain" flavor, but much less than Ikes. The bread complements the sandwiches well in texture and flavor. They are neutral without being tasteless and soak up flavor well without sogging up.
Sandwiches were filling and fresh enough to be satisfying.
The meatball sub sauce was quite sweet and meatballs were kind of springy. Not really to my taste but there's nothing wrong with that. Free chocolate chip cookie with each sandwich and were good.“

“Our server Genesis was absolutely wonderful, she has a great smile and service that cheered my day! I ordered the pot roast and it was tender and delicious. We got the order exactly how we requested, nothing missing which is always nice. Thanks again Genesis for the great service and meal experience!“

“The food and decorations was great. Unfortunately, i felt a little left out on the first time i came here. Got seat down at a table and wait for 10 minutes with no one came to set up table or asked me to order anything and they keep serving other tables. Not so busy either. Lightly disappointed.“
