“David*** and the other staff here are good peoples for real!!! Not to mention the wholesome food-- now that's flavor! Mushroom burger, mac n cheese, and fries of all sorts are my favorites. Cozy & welcoming spot for us struggling students, grads, profs, and undergrads alike lol.“

“Good selection of sandwiches, burgers, and salads. Easy to get in and out of this small bar and grill style spot. Fresh and good quality. My daughter had sliders with tots(a larege portion)! Buffalo blue cheese, and standard burger sliders. I choose the Ruben. Very tasty with a horseradish 1000 island sauce. A little small, but made well. It came with tot, fries or a salad. The lettuce(to much white) and salad overall could have been better but was still ok. They have a good selection of 1/2 lb burgers at about $18+-. We agreed it was a spot we would try again on another soccer tournament in Davis.“

“We came here for karaoke but were a little too early. Still had a drink and shot some pool. Decent drink specials and nice pool tables. A little hard to find parking for the huge suburban we were driving but overall a good experience. Just a little hot in the back area where you shoot darts but prob because close to kitchen“

“Cafe Bernardo (Davis) is that easy brunch spot where you meet a friend, lose track of time, and suddenly you’ve been there forever. Order at the counter, grab a seat, and it somehow still feels relaxed and taken care of. Tons of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options and everything’s labeled, which I appreciate. Pro tip… talk to the cashier. They can tweak a lot more than what’s listed. I ended up with a grain bowl that was actually good good and an iced tea that hit.

The space is really cute with indoor outdoor seating, even if I’ll admit the Sacramento location has a little more personality. Service here though? So solid. Friendly, helpful, and patient with all the questions. I do think table service would level it up, but honestly we had a great time and didn’t miss it that much. Easy, reliable, and a yes for a casual brunch catch up.“

“Omg!!! I have lived in Davis less than a quarter mile from Mr Pickles and I have never darkened their doorstep!!! I hate myself! Thinking back to all the times I was craving a French dip or reuben and it was at a stone's throw makes my brain want to implode!!!

Well, today was the day! I ordered both of those in sammie size just to try and also save for lunch tomorrow. I am so impressed and glad I've taken the chance. So fresh. High quality ingredients. Clean operation. Perfect portion. Plus each Sammie came with a cookie. What?!?!

The staff was courteous and friendly. Will be back to try everything! So nice to find a restaurant in davis that doesn't suck! Please keep up the work and great training.“
