“They never disappoint. Freddy is one of my favorite chefs. He’s such a nice guy and very open to accommodations for those who have special requirements in their diet. Tonight I had a strict vegetarian in my party, and she requested very nicely that her meal was made first that way no meat touched her food and no egg in the fried rice. So that’s exactly what he did. He is the reason that I come back and bring more people every time. Keep it up guys.“

“Shabu Shack is definitely one of my favorite restaurants to visit whenever I am in Davis. I always love getting their hot pot (creamy veg & American Wagyu) however this time I opted into getting their new sizzling plates and was extremely impressed. The beef with rice was my favorite but I will definitely come back to try more!!“

“They made two beautiful and generous sushi platters for a party. Worked with me to select rolls for a picky crowd. I wish I’d taken pictures, but they got eaten too fast! The owners are always there working. It’s a small, local family-run place and they take care of you. I’m so happy they moved to the Lake Blvd location. Super convenient, don’t have to deal with finding parking downtown.“

“Their all you can eat is a really good deal if you can eat a lot. They have a pretty good variety of rolls on the menu to choose from, and the only stuff that can't be ordered for all you can eat are the drinks and the mochi. It's kind of a small place, and it can get pretty busy, but I'd recommend it. Though as to be expected, since it's all you can eat, the rolls won't be the best quality but they're still good.“
