Moxie Restaurant Reviews
Have been coming to Moxie for decades now, and it's one of my favorite hidden gems in Sacramento. Great food, great service, and Adam is a hoot. Would love to see them open during the week like the old days, but barring that, I'll still continue to visit for dinner on the few days they are open.
My wife and I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant on Friday night, April 10th, our 28th wedding anniversary. We were so grateful for the wonderful experience that we don’t have enough words to express our appreciation! The food was amazingly delicious, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was spot on. If you’re looking for a night of fine dining this is your place! Thanks again to Adam and his staff for a fantastic evening!!! We are coming back...read full review
They'll make you any drink you ask for and have a great selection of appetizers, main courses, and dessert.
If you want an intimate setting with polite, jovial, and knowledgeable staff and stellar food definitely give this place a try.2 cocktails, an appetizer, two main courses, and 2 desserts were about $180

Moxie Restaurant offers a romantic and intimate setting, perfect for a special occasion or date night. Guests are greeted by charming staff who provide attentive service. The restaurant features an impressive menu with dishes such as swordfish, Chilean sea bass, filet mignon, lobster bisque, and lobster ravioli, all presented beautifully. Every dish reflects a deep respect for quality ingredients and skill, making it one of the best places to enjoy fish. The ambiance is dimly lit and quiet, creating a relaxing atmosphere. An extensive wine list and full bar are available.
Customers praise the personal attention, the vintage feel, decor, and dim lighting, which help create a unique and memorable dining experience. Moxie is described as a hidden Sacramento gem, known for amazing food and a charming, attentive owner who adds to the overall experience. The restaurant is highly recommended for both special occasions and romantic nights.
The staff is known for their helpfulness, rattling off a list of 20 specials, mostly fish dishes, that are a level above the main fare. Guests can order almost anything, and the dishes come out hot and well-presented, with excellent sides. The restaurant's wall decor and ambient music create a unique atmosphere, though some customers suggest a more focused music background like jazz would be helpful.
