This place is a nice little gem in midtown. The service was great, I really liked the communication. When a dish takes longer then most of the dishes the waitress let us know the approximate wait time. My favorite was the appetizers. The calamari was delicious but what really set it off was the dipping sauce. I will say the sauce with the potatoes was a bit underwhelming, it was basically spaghetti sauce; at least it was better than ketchup.

Tapa the World is always a fun experience, starting with the friendly staff at the door as well as the table attendant. We never felt any pressure to hurry up or to place our order, so we were able to take our time and enjoy the meal in waves...which is really how tapas should be done.

Paul and his staff were amazing! Superior customer service and a beautiful welcoming atmosphere inside and out. Service was fast and they checked on us frequently. We started off with the seared scallops and rock shrimp which were delicious. Later we had paella which was delightful and empanadas and bread pudding for dessert.
