I Shanghai Delight was such a fun and unique experience because it offered dishes I don’t usually see on Sacramento menus. Located in Old Sacramento, the restaurant feels like a hidden spot, and stepping inside, you immediately get the sense that this is where locals go for something truly different. I ordered the xiao long bao (soup dumplings), and they were outstanding - perfectly delicate wrappers filled with rich, flavorful broth and tender pork. Each bite was an explosion...

No frills, no thrills, good food. It's just bad that sometimes they don't offer all items on the menu. Best soup dumplings around. Set your expectations on service and you'll love the place.

Dont let the quiet and sparse atmosphere disused you. I was then only person there and no music was playing but the food is actually pretty good. I got some steamed dumplings and they hit the spot.
