I walked in 20 minutes before closing time, and they said they already shut down the grill. They falsely advertised their open times, and they should say that they close at 2:30 rather than 3 PM.

One of those places you would love to frequent but must be patient! And that's no understatement. Even my wife loved their Korean beef taco. They gave us sauces which one of them were spicy HOT! Be careful! Need ice water nearby or ice cream! Lol My wife enjoyed her soy garlic chicken cupbop & was sad when it was totally gone. Like bummer...I totally enjoyed my burrito packed full & my bulgogi beef cupbop. Yes my wife was tempted to want to dig into my order!!! She backed off though which was a first! LOLYes the M-F 1030-3 hours definitely are catered for the state workers all around. Right? The vibe here was also fresh, clean & contemporary. Even though we had to wait 30 minutes for our full order just bc the gal forgot to place our order in originally it was however worth our wait! Plus the employee did apologize for the long wait. Would we return? If we find street parking nearby sure! On our first try we were very fortunate.

Food is good, but I don’t know if it’s cause I’ve been spoiled by traditional Mexican places, but their k-burrito is tiny. Not worth the $16 I paid with the fries.

Kindred Seoul is a welcome addition to the downtown food scene. Through the modern glass doors of Allenby building (housing different State departments) is Kindred Seoul. It is conveniently located within walking distance from my workplace, and I always look forward to grabbing a bite here when I go into the office. The service here is fantastic. While a small operation, their food packs a punch in flavor. The interior of the building offers plenty of open seating if you want to enjoy your meal there, but I am also always offered a bag and utensils to go if I need them.I'd recommend checking Korean Seoul out if you want to change up your lunch options! The hours mostly cater to the State employee crowd, so be mindful of that when planning your visit. Arriving around 11:30am before the lunch rush seems to be the sweet spot for me.

Tasty and quick! Loved the BBQ Beef Cupbop, the beef was excellent and a well sized portion!

I recommend the soy garlic cupbop. It was super flavorful and I enjoyed eating everything. I also ordered the K-burrito because it sounded interesting but it was just so-so. The taste wasn't as strong as I tasted mostly spice rather than flavor. Maybe it was because the cupbop was just so good that I couldn't taste the burrito as well. Overall though, cupbop is a must-have when you visit.

Truly not a bad item on their menu. I've had most everything and it's all delicious. The K+ Breakfast Burrito is one of my favorite breakfast burritos to get in Downtown Sacramento. Their CupBops are great, and their fusion burger and sando are also worth getting. Highly recommend.

Kindred Seoul is great if you want a quick grab and go Korean food spot. Pros are the food is pretty good and prices are reasonable. Cons is the food can take some time to prepare but to be fair it seems like it's only one person in the kitchen. Overall, this is where I go for a quick bit when I'm in area on a weekday.

Nice bright place for lunch. I had the Veggie Bop and the tofu was cooked to perfection. My only critique would be that I wish there were a few more veggies in it, but the flavor was 10/10. Plenty of comfortable seating available and a lot of space to do a little work if you are so inclined, this will probably be my new lunch spot.

This place is so good. I came at 11am (when breakfast ended, but they still let me order). The service is great and the chef is super nice and makes the salsa from scratch. I must say it's even better than the first time I tried it and the K+breakfast burrito is to die for. I think I ate it in 3 bites haha As for the ambiance, it's in a State building and it has a huge dining room with plenty of seating. Definitely come out and show some support for this business. I can't wait to try everything on their menu :)

Cool spot located inside the Clifford L. Allenby government building downtown! Heads up, it is NOT a standalone spot and instead sort of acts as a food court for the government workers that work inside the building. If you're driving around looking for a Kindred Seoul sign, you won't find one. The good news is, there's two hour visitor parking for the building right in front of the entrance, and I had no trouble parking and getting in once I realized I was in the right place.Once you're inside the building, make a left, and you'll immediately see the food court area. It's really just a bunch of seating with Kindred Seoul being the only restaurant behind the counter, though it looks like there is potentially room for more businesses to open up here.It wasn't busy when I arrived and I just waited behind one person. The menu was pretty eclectic, ranging from loaded fries, Korean style burgers and burritos, to more traditional Korean fare. I went for the loaded fries, BBQ Beef CupBop and K+ Burrito and ate the fries and burrito on site.I sat down for about ten minutes while my food was made, and they called my number to pick it up from the counter. The cashier offered me a bag (it was a decent amount of food), which was nice, and everything was wrapped up to go so I had the option to take it or eat it there. The fries were good but nothing special. Liquid cheese, sautéed onions, special sauce. More or less what you'd expect. I wouldn't get them again, but there was nothing wrong with them. They just didn't stand out.The burrito was great, though. It offered a Korean style twist on a Mexican classic and included BBQ beef bulgogi, rice, kimchi slaw, and more. I wasn't expecting to eat all of the fries and burrito in one sitting but the. Herico was that good. Would definitely get it again.I ate the BBQ Beef CupBop later that evening at home. Solid portions here, too, with BBQ Beef Bulgogi, kimchi slaw, corn, rice, and their Gochujang sauce. Like the burrito, I wasn't expecting to eat all of it at once, but I definitely did. And the meal definitely stood up, even reheated! Not a bad spot, but hours are limited because they are in a government building. If you're interested in stopping by, come on a weekday before 3!

It was ok! Wish it had more vegetables, felt super heavy, especially for lunch, so I couldn't even finish it in one sitting. Japchae was just average as well. Beef was tender, would have gotten the sauce on the side though. Nice and clean seating area though!

Alex's menu has nothing but bangers. I usually order the burritos in the mornings and sometimes during lunchtime. The food does take some time to come but that's because alex takes his time to make sure the food comes out delicious. Alex really cares about the quality of his food and how his customers enjoy it. I understand it can be a bit pricey but personally I don't mind the price every now and then to treat myself. Also the salsa that comes with the burrito is so good and perfectly spicy, my mother loves it too!

Food is good but it takes 30 minutes for your order and they don't offer ordering online. You can order from GrubHub but it's $3-4 extra per item to order. Best to stay away if you're in the building looking for a quick bite.
