Hubby and I have been here many times. At least 1 or 2 times a week. Sami is so friendly and kind. Food is always amazing. Friend chicken is to die for and my husband loves the fish. Dirty rice and their fries are amazing as well.

SoOo last time it was good.. Catfish.. Fried firmm.. Switched it out for tilapia this order.. Hence the generic "fish" refenced in the menu.. I do not like tilapia.. It's gross and the breading was soggy.. Also this is the 2nd time your mac n cheese was sOoo salty I couldn't eat it at all... Never again.. I just think they're super inconsistent and there's no "soul" or effort put into the food.. The bread was even a lil stale and also switched out to an obviously cheapee option.. $32.00 wasted.. Sacramento needs a soulfood restaurant and a fish spot take over.. Just terrible..

Fried chicken (dark meat/ leg and thighs only) was really good. The cake slices they had was yummy as well. They make it when you order so beware of the wait for them to fry the chicken so it'll be hot and ready for you. We didn't mind the wait. Call ahead if you won't want to wait. Will be back again.

No thanks! Stomach poisoning, woke up in the middle of the night with the bubble guts. I had a drum stick and a leg-quarter. Both pieces tasted sour. I am sure the chicken I had was spoiled chicken that was fried. It even tasted a bit off. Too bad I was already home, 20 minutes away or I would have come back and requested a refund. Be careful with this place, y'all.

This little spot was so flavorful before the pandemic hit. The Shrimp & Fish were my favorite although I seldom eat catfish these days. I would always get the combo with the shrimp & fish. I thought it was so unique that they have their own special blend of seasoning on their crinkle fries. The fish and shrimp had a perfectly seasoned batter that wasn't too heavy and their tartar sauce is my favorite. It's rich and creamy it's amazing. The last few times I have been. The batter on the shrimp is more dry and heavy, the portions of fish is flattened and thinned out & the size of the shrimp seems smaller but, pricing has remained the same or slightly increased. My food was ok, other times I went it was so good I was telling everyone to go get them some. You can tell when the food is cooked and prepared with love. Horrible . 6 teeny tiny chicken nuggets for $11. No sauces or napkins. 2pc fish with fries. Dry and no sauces included. Waste of money. Was going to order peach cobbler bit the presentation was not good.

I know I am late posting I was there September of 2022 It was a Wednesday I placed my order as always their fries are always fresh and hot they gave me two pieces of day old chicken and it did not look right but I tried to eat it anyway and it was just not tasty and I thought that was very rude because I would come in there weekly to buy and then this is the respect that I get I would never visit this place again
